Il Mulino New York - Tribeca
The manager Dave and staff were great the chef was wonderful and accommodating it was a great experience
We came here on a friend’s recommendation and we weren’t disappointed. From the moment we stepped in, we were treated like treasured guests. Everyone who served us was kind and witty. And the food was just as good as the service. What a gem in TriBeCa. We will be back.
Awesome thanksgiving dinner! The turkey was cooked perfectly, and the stuffing was phenomenal! Great ambience and terrific customer service!
Warm and cordial atmosphere. Attentive staff. Delicious food. My daughter and I had a lovely and memorable Thanksgiving dinner (and birthday celebration). A “six star” evening. We are already making plans to return.
I took my parents here for thanksgiving and it was wonderful. The service was outstanding and the ambiance of the restaurant made for a truly memorable meal. Definitely recommend!
We celebrated my husband's birthday. We were a large crowd and the welcome and service couldn't have been better. We all had a great time, food was terrific.
Amazing food. Attentive waiter although he had such a thick Italian accent we couldn’t understand him most of the time. Small nice room with basic ambiance. I will be back.
We really enjoyed the food, the service, and the overall experience! The wines are quite pricey as is the food, but we would go back to try different dishes, for sure!
The restaurant was as laud as a place can be. Prices and location suggest a more refined environment. Instead, the restaurant is an overpriced everyday Italian food joint that most likely makes business out of the Citi bank employees across the street. Not advisable for dinning out with your partner, a good place to go with a group and get drunk o. overpriced wine
Celebrated my sister’s birthday! Staff were pros and the food was delicious... dover sole, pasta with white truffle, osso bucco were all really fantastic and the branzino was spectacular!!!!! Dessert was wonderful as well, specifically the cheesecake and cherry cake, the staff beautifully serenaded happy birthday and the night was perfect! Lastly - I recommend for everyday dining as well as special occasion, I will be back soon.
Servers were very accommodating due to food allergies and food was excellent
The staff was fantastic and took very good care of us.
One of the best meals ever. Expensive but worth every cent The service was 5 star
Very disappointed in my first meal at Il Mulino’s Tribeca location, which is a real shame since I loved the original location and went there for many years. Service was very slow and completely screwed up our entree orders. 3 members of our table got their food but then two guests literally didn’t get their entrees until nearly 30 minutes later... and the worst part was that NO ONE came to explain or apologize until I flagged down the host to ask what the hell was going on with our food. Even then, he bustled off and didn’t even tell me/us what had happened until probably 10 minutes later when I flagged another server down to ask yet AGAIN what was going on. Then the waiter finally owned up and said he had written down the wrong order for 2 of us. They offered a complimentary glass of wine but we turned it down; in my opinion that was a terribly paltry offer for such terrible service and accountability. They ended up giving us three small slices of dessert to share for the 5 of us as a gift but even that wasn’t helpful because we had to wait so long to get it after we asked for the check and wanted to just get out of there. The food was tasty but honestly with that screwed up service I won’t be back. Would much rather head to Locanda Verde just down the street.
Overall loved the restaurant. We felt the wine list was weak and not having a Corkage fee seems strange when the wine list is so small and expensive.
The truffle pasta was too cold and the amount of white truffles that were given to us did not warrant the $200 serving.
Excellent in every respect!
Never disappointed when my wife and I eat at an Il Mulino. Ricardo, our waiter was fantastic. He was personable and professional. True asset to this establishment.
Great restaurant with an amazing staff. Ricardo our server was great as was the rest of the staff . The food was unbelievable. So good some of the best I’ve ever had. Can’t say enough great things about this place. We felt at home here will be back. Perfect
i have a great recommendation in my opinion for some health conscious people
a grilled vegetable App and maybe a great chopped salad in addition to the Caesar
Both chicken paillard dishes were dry,
Veal Parm was good , as was was straccuatella
Dinner was absolutely delicious. It was my first time at this location. The spot is very well done and although the restaurant was full (random Tuesday so try to make reservations) we never felt crowded or thought the noise level was too high. My friend had dinner there the previous evening and enjoyed it so much she suggested we go back. I had a seafood pasta dinner that was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
Loved it here. Have been going to the original forever but gave the Tribeca location a try. It was similar but different in all positive ways. Nino, the host, was fantastic as were all the staff — warm, friendly and hospitable. The food and service were great and we had a ball thanks to the fantastic group of people who work there and the delicious food. Grazie mille!
We had a wonderful evening at il Mulinos. Our waiter was top notch. He had us laughing from the word go. He paced the meal perfectly. The food was outstanding all around. We loved the complimentary food served before the actual appetizers- parmesan cheese, bread basket, zuccini chips, and bruschetta- as well as the encouragement to sample a few wines before deciding on which to purchase. Highly recommend!
Extremely personable and friendly staff
I go way back with Il Mulino; as a young man, I went to the original owners(brothers) restaurant in Fort Lee which later became Il Mulino. The tradition continues with new corporate owners;this is usually a sign of decreased quality and bland standardization. I am happy to report that after four decades nothing has changed; in fact the dining experience has never been better. Under the leadership of Dave Vedda, the room runs like a clock. He is attentive always and efficient without being obtrusive. The FOOD IS SUPERB. I was pleased to connect with Massimo, the original chef at the original Il Mulino those many years ago. He is now overall corporate head chef and the foodis superb. You will NEVER be disappointed at Il Mulino Tribeca. When you go, say ciao to Dave Vedda; he’s doing a great job, and runs a great room!! Enjoy
We went there for my wife's birthday w my grown up kids. Clams, gnocci, prosciiutto and melon and calimari for appetizers. Both of my boys had chicken parmesan and the portions were so large they could have shared one. My wife had veal milenese and I had a double cut veal chop which was totally delicious. They brought out the flourless chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert w a candle for my wife. Excellent dinner enjoyed by all. The maitre d did a great job in moving us to a better table when we arrived. Thank you for a great birthday meal.
MUCH TOOM EXPENSIVE FOR THE FOOD AND WINE WE HAD. BUT A NICE PLACE.
Excellent service and food was outstanding
A fabulous venue for a working lunch. Food is always top notch and ambiance is perfect.
Ricardo was amazing, he made my boyfriend feel so special on his birthday. I could not be more appreciative for the excellent service we received.
Friends came in from out of town and Il Mulino was where we wanted to take them. It was really special
The meal was sensational and the service was great as well! Perfect overall!
An amazing meal. Loved it . I would return in a heartbeat. Amazing waiters with great expertise. Thank You so much.
Great dinner at Il Mulino TriBeCa, great food and the service was excellent. Made my sons birthday very special.
Came here for lunch with a coworker during restaurant week. The place was practically empty at 12:15PM and we were seated quickly. Service was attentive however the food was lackluster. We ordered the smoke burrata and veal piccata, neither of which impressed. The veal was imply 2 slices of meat topped some sauce and a tiny artichoke. I think serving those plates and calling it a 2 course lunch is really misguiding. Flavors were also very mediocre. Unfortunately given the experience I cannot recommend and will likely not return.
My family first ate at Il Mulino in South Beach about 5 years ago and loved everything about it. We’ve been wanting to go to NYC since and finally had the chance. It was a beautiful night and they had the front doors to the sidewalk open. The service is unbelievable and the food is outstanding. They make you feel so special. We will definitely make this a yearly occurrence in late summer.
Came here with a colleague of mine and was treated like a queen! Ricardo was so attentive and helpful....even took me to the kitchen to meet the chef. Would highly recommend coming here. Food was amazing! Service was amazing! Never have been treated so well by the restaurant staff.
Great food and service! 10/10 recommend.
Went for restaurant week. Great menu and food was awesome. Impeccable service. They serve great bread and complimentary appetizer plate with cheese even before they take the order. Have gone to this restaurant many times before and never disappointed
