IL Mulino New York Boca Raton
Awesome place & incredible service
Great for special occasions
Difficult to decide
Pros: Greeted nicely, shown to table on time, friendly staff, great service, lovely complimentary savories (parmesan, bruschetta etc), food prepared well and served nice and hot
Cons: small space is laid out so half your party has to stare at a brick wall for the night at most tables, extremely loud, only restaurant in Boca Raton I've been to that does not allow you to bring your own wine, house list is limited and very expensive ($85 for a bottle that sells for $17, multiple gets better with more expensive wines - $180 for a $60 bottle etc)
Bottom line for me is menu not special enough to overcome problems with ambiance and high price
Way too noisy
All good except noise level! Food and staff were superb
Delicious Italian meal with friends !!!
El sitio es bastante ruidoso pero agradable. La atención es amable y rápida, el menu es bastante común, nada especial y la carta de vinos me pareció un tanto pobre y con precios elevados
Truly authentic Italian! Loved EVERYTHING! Antonio was especially helpful and made us feel like part of the family! Will definitely be back! GRAZIE
All the staff especially Fabio were excellent !
The entire evening was excellent from start to finish !
Adriano and his team never cease to amaze us with their great service , warm atmosphere and high quality , expertly prepared fresh food.
Can’t wait to go back!
Food and service was excellent. Disappointed that I was unable to bring a bottle of wine for a corkage fee. When I looked over the wine list I found the wine marked up more than normal. I will go back when I’m the mood for good food and cocktails.
Wonderful restaurant. Warm friendly staff and amazing food!!!
Fabulous food service class A
While the food was excellent our overall experience was fair at best. It started by requesting a bottle of wine on their wine menu that was not available that night. After being advised of a similar wine for a similar price by our waiter, we were then advised this second bottle was not available. Finally settled for our third choice. The waiter than went over all the specials and we all ordered. 20 minutes later just before I would expected to receive our dinner, a different waiter came to our table to advise us that the special I ordered was no longer available and would have to choose a different entry. I choose a different dish and when it was served it was not prepared as described on the menu but the Chef decided to make it similar to the special I ordered but with a different fish. While it was quite good I would have appreciated the opportunity to decide how I wanted my dinner prepared.
Really great experience! Food and service was amazing!
I went to this restaurant because I was told how good it was. It was my 33rd wedding anniversary. When we arrived st this extremely loud venue we were told we needed to wait to be seated at our table which was available. The “manager” needed to seat us. We continued to wait 20 min while he was “ scmoozing” w other people. Then he literally pushed us along to our table without an apology. It was extremely chaotic! Not one waiter. Several coming and going from the table but no one offering to take our order. Anything we asked for we did not receive.
1) croutons and Parm cheese in the Caesar salad. (Pitiful)
2) cranberry juice for our seltzer (took a few people but eventually came)
3) cold food but no one checked in on us
4) expresso with dessert (dessert cane expresso 10 min after)
When I spoke to the “manager on duty” he told me he’s not the real manager and preceded to argue w me about my experience. I had to ask to take salads off the menu because they were NOT REAL Caesar.
A guy did call me after my experience to talk to me but he has not returned my call as of today.
Very good choice, authentic food , excellent service!!!
The food and service was outstanding! I can't wait to go back. Antonio took care of us and helped me it a very special evening. Ask for Antonio!
We waited far too long to be asked if we wanted drinks. Then waited again for our drinks to arrive, which were incorrectly garnished. We were served appetizers of Parmesan cheese, fried zucchini chips, bruschetta and various breads. As a starter, We ordered their specialty truffle mushroom raviolis, which were in need of truffle aroma. Then we waited again because our order of the special salmon was given to another table. And when it arrived it was just ok. Not what I would call brilliant service.
Some really Excellent service and wonderful food !
Excellent food and outstanding service.
Best Italian restaurant in Boca! Food and service is outstanding!!
The quality of the food is good however the price of cocktails and wine is absurd!!
I will never return as there are too many equal quality restaurants to choose from.
Beware ,you will be ripped off!
Let me just start by saying we love the IL Mulino New York brand and when we lived in NYC, we would frequent the location on 60th St almost every Saturday. So when I was in Florida for work and found out they had a location in Boca Raton, I was very excited. I went for dinner the night I arrived in FL and sat at the bar. I had a wonderful time; the bartender and staff were so friendly and amazing. The food was not as good as the NYC 60th St location, but it was darn close and so yummy.
I had such a great time, that I went back for dinner one more time before I flew home. The 2nd experience was definitely not the same; it was actually horrible and I will not be returning to this restaurant ever again. The manager clearly moved around the restaurant speaking with the guests, but was very obvious who his friends were at the restaurant. With one of his friends acting like she owned the restaurant and bossing the staff around. The manager proceeded to yell at the staff in front of customers; pounded his fist on a a serving side table and was not pleasant at all. Also, letting his friend control the music in the restaurant and letting it be extremely loud. One waiter yelled at another staff member in front of customers; with the manager not stepping in and stopping it.
I sat at the bar again this time, due to the dining room being full the 2nd night. The bartender and wait staff made the whole evening go smoothly, even with what they were dealing with on the side.
It is sad, but I will not be returning to this restaurant again.
Soon after sitting it’s so nice to have the delicious bruschetta brought around. Then the yummy bread tray with multiple nice choices and finally the giant Parmesan wheel. What’s better than delicious Parmesan fresh off the wheel with Chateau Montelena Cabernet Sauvignon? Oh, and we haven’t even gotten menus yet! Ordered the fish and shrimp special with risotto. Was delicious and generous. Took half home for lunch the next day. Enjoyed the clams oreganata as an app and the tiramisu was a very good desert. I heard the Italian cheesecake was just okay. Second meal at Il Mulino and will be back. It’s just a fun, exciting dinner out with very reliable good food. Just a bit on the too expensive side.
always treated well and the food is special, very impressed with the service
Priced a little through roof for what we ate
Would rather have traveled to Miami Beach to eat at La Sireneuse
Much better bang for buck.
Service great Ambiance so-so
Give it 80 out of 100
Everything was great only problem drinks slow from bar.
Excellent! East Boca would definitely benefit with Ill Mulino!!
We were there celebrating the recent marriage of our friends. Adriano made sure we were taken care of well. A step above the usual restaurants in the Boca Delray area on all levels . Wonderful night!
Everything from when we sat down to leaving was exceptional.. the initial placing of house hot d’oeurves to taking our order. Service impeccable with out over crowding us. Food was prepared beautifully, was light and ever so tasty-everything!
Was so impressed by everything!! Even the manager Adriano gave us undivided attention. My new go to when in Boca!!
Excellent god but very expensive
Enjoyed our lunch immensely. Our waiter was engaging. We were overwhelmed with food. LOVED everything.
Too bad the Boca location is a pop up/temporary location. Hopefully, they will get a permanent location.
The pricing we felt was a little high. Wait staff was very good, at time a little over the top.
I will recommend.
Food is good. Servers are good but overwhelmed. Restaurant is overcrowded and extremely loud. Best to go on a slower night.
I had dined in their Las Vegas location on three different occassions, and it was spectacular. So was so glad to have one closer to home. Food is spectacular, service is professional and attentive without being bothersome. Small venue in Boca with stone floors and brick walls makes for a much louder experience than was the case in Vegas for sure, but has it's own charm.
One of my absolute favs!!!
Food was very good; complementary parmagian cheese to start was fantastic. But the main problem was the five different waiters taking care of us were not communicating. When we were joined just a bit later by a third diner, we had to ask for him to be taken care of. We were asked by three different waiters if we wanted dessert, after having already ordered with the first one. One particularly young waiter thought dinnertime would be perfect for repairing the table next to us that appeared to be broken and would not fold properly. We asked him to stop the racket. Overall, it's an excellent restaurant with great food, but the service still seems to be getting organized.
Food was spectacular! Antonio’s service and knowledge was impeccable! We will definitely be back.
