We’re quite a traditional, family concern! Somewhat typically Italian – we work together and enjoy the preparation and cooking of great food.
However, the difference for us is that we’re not just Italian… we’re Sardinian! Using the traditional roots of Sardinian food preparation, combined with fine ingredients and modern cooking techniques, we like to think we bring a new slant to the Italian restaurant based in the UK.
Located in the heart of Stratford upon Avon just 70 yards from Shakespeare’s birthplace, Il Moro is a family run Sardinian restaurant established in 2009 by Sardinian chef Massimiliano Melis and his English wife Christine. The family has strong traditional values and sources only the finest ingredients and wines from Sardinia and Italy to reflect the stunning simplicity of cuisine from their homeland.
