Special branzino great and spring veg ravioli perfect! 2010 Chianti velvety smooth ! Xavier was one of THE best waiters in NYC! It has been a while since i was here but i will be back soon!!!!! Just fab!
Took my lovely girlfriend to eat here for a romantic dinner for her 30th birthday. She loved it. I loved it. Food was delicious. Wine options
Food overall was excellent. Quality ingredients and well prepared. My burrata was excellent, fresh, light with very sweet melon for tatse. The pasta with clams was probably the best I’ve had outside of Italy and definitely better than the highly rated Italian restaurants in New York. My guests had the Bottarga pasta which was also al dente and very tasty.
Staff were courteous and friendly and the
service was impeccable throughout; always there when you needed something but not overbearing. The restaurant was modern and just about cosy but not oppulent. All in all a wonderful experience and a place I shall return to.
I have been going there for at least 10 years and they never disappoint!
Great ravioli! Veal was delicious too.
Perfectly nice food and good service but at this price I expect the food to be a cut above. You are competing with the best at this price level and it was okay but nothing more.
Fantastic italian food. A seasonal menue with at least six specials in additional. Everyone in this restaurant speaks italian, and the servers are intimately familiary with the wine list.
I wish that they enforced a dress code. It’s hard to enjoy a special occasion when other patrons are in sneakers and shorts. For this level of service and for these prices I would have liked everyone to be nicely dressef
II Gattopardo is simply great food and perfect for a date, business, or to enjoy the quality of a New York restaurant. Cozy, classy, fine.
Everything was lovely and delicious
Wonderful restaurant. Food was excellent and the service was tops. My date and I had a lovely time. We will return for sure.
Very good dinner and service.
Wonderful staff, delicious food in an intimate setting. Great value for a fine dining experience.
Food is excellent and service good. Seating is comfortably spaced. However no fixed price lunch
Very pleasant, outstanding service, excellent food.
I love this restaurant for business or personal. Beautiful space and the inside and small outside dining areas are lovely. Great small bar with its own room is terrific surprise as is their large private dining space below. Food and service is excellent. Recommend all their salads, branzino, lasagnas and vegetable sides (escarole with raisins and olives my favorite). Beautiful wine list (mostly Italian). I think it’s the nicest Italian restaurant in that neighborhood.
I just love this restaurant, the food and the space alike. And the service is warm and professional, they are well staffed. Both the outdoor patio tables and inside is great. Lovely little bar and bar room. Highly recommend the branding, lasagne and all the upscale salads work well.
Always a pleasure to have a business or personal lunch/dinner in Ill Gottopardo. Great food and service. Convenient location. Have been coming here for many years.
Amazing in every way. Going back this friday!
In just 3 years, this place has gone from hero to zero.
I was disappointed in this restaurant. It was very highly rated, but the food was, at best, just OK. It was extremely expensive, even by NY standards. I would not go back, nor would I recommend this restaurant.
The day didn’t start well.. there was a fire alarm, but the food was really terrific and the service all you could hope for
Nice place , great food .
The location is very special.
Il Gattopardo is a neighborhood gem located in a historical townhouse on 54th st. Convenient to all major transportation and cultural venues. The ambiance is elegant and reserved, great for family dinners and mature evenings. Our dinner for 4 came out to $179 excluding tax and only two of had drinks. The dishes are presented beautifully with stellar, white glove service. Great for gluten-free diners, vegetarians, and meat lovers. Can't wait to go back
Our favorite restaurant in New York. Great service, great wine, great food.
Food was disappointing, we had to shout to be heard by our guests, waiter kind of forgot us at the end of the meal and it took a while to get our check.
This place has changed and not for the better. I will not go back.
We are lucky to live on the same block as this wonderful restaurant. It is unfailingly good.
We have dined in this restaurant for many years, sadly the restaurant moved to a new, bigger location and everything about our experience here was dissapointing. Seated at a small table in a loud noisy corner we asked to move our party of 6 so that we could hear each other speak. We were seated downstairs in a quiet garden style room but the service was extremely slow and unnattentive. When our meals finally started to arrive it was of poor quality and taste. With so many fantastic dinig options in New York this is one to avoid.
Délicieuse cuisine italienne. Mon seul bémol très bruyant.
Best Northern Italian in Midtown
Over the years, I have dined many times at the old place and the new location. The food needs an update and the service has eroded. Still a great place, and always go when I am in town....
Overpriced for mediocre at best food. Great jazz guitarist and singer though.
Elegant restaurant with a great ambiance and superb Italian food. Service is equal to the quality of everything else. Somewhat of a hidden gem in that part of town.
Great service, pastas are amazing.
I love Il Gattopatdo. I’ve been eating there for years and have never been disappointed. They treat you like family with impeccable service and delicious food. I recommend to all my friends when they visit NYC.
We had such a wonderful dinner started with grilled octopus primi was linguine with Manila clam cooked to perfection secondo cod with tomatoes n olive so delicate made just heavenly can't wait to return oh yes nice wine list
Very enjoyable brunch - food, cocktails, service, music. If you stick to the brunch only, it is very reasonably priced otherwise, a bit pricey.
iL Gattopardo continues to be my favorite restaurant in Manhattan. Service, quality, wine list is unrivaled.
