Very disappointed with our dining experience. Service was slow though the restaurant wasn’t busy. I ordered a glass of Prosecco which was FLAT and I had to ask for another.
The biggest disappointment was the meal I ordered for my mother and myself. It was described as filled cannelloni that was supposed to be baked but what we got were similar to crepes , with a mushy filling and a terrible gloopy Alfredo sauce. Yuck!! When the server came back and asked how the first few bites were tasting, I told him it wasn’t what I expected and he just walked away.
We had my elderly parents with us and it’s rare that they feel up to going out for dinner so this was a major disappointment. I don’t think we’ll be back.
Food was great
Outstanding meal and service. Totally excellent lamb chops,
Year-in, year-out a constant value. They have these menus devoted to specific regions of Italy, at different times of the year.. Interesting to taste these!
We were there for our anniversary dinner and we had the most amazing waiter, food was good the service was impeccable, we brought our own botle of wine with us to dinner the waiter always made sure our glasses were never empty wither wih wine or our glasses of water! Before we left, we had to let the supervisor know what an amazing service with had that evening.
Outstanding service, entire staff friendly and cordial. Assistants always smiling. This visit food was on time, hot and delious.
One of my favorites!
Have visited the restaurant many times and always enjoyed the food. However, this time it seems quite loud--not sure why.
Service was excellent and food good. Will return and hopefully the issue with noise will have been addressed.
For a Sunday afternoon, it was very quiet. We were placed in the farthest area of the restaurant, far from other diners. Seemed very odd. The food was good but, of the 3 orders of eggs benedicts that were served, they were all over cooked. 2 were sent back. The kitchen quickly turned those orders around so that we did not have to wait too long. The new plates turned out delicious. Everyone else in our group seemed to enjoy their meals. Our wait staff were very attentive and wanted to make our meal special. A very nice experience to be sure.
We had a great dinner celebrating our Granddaughter's 17TH Birthday . Our server, Matthew, was very attentive and helpful explaining menu items and making suggestions for two finicky teenagers . The Birthday dessert was a nice touch. We will be back.
We had made a reservation that same day. Our table was ready to go even before our time. The service was wonderful and the staff very friendly.
As usual their food was very good. However, I was very disappointed in that they eliminated their 3 course tasting menu - that's what I there for. Cross another Res. off my list.
My daughter and I go to El Fornaio once a month for the regional dinner it is always exceptional I would recommend it to anyone
Not that it was the fault of the seaters but they sat 6 noisy loud gentlemen next to us. It was very hard to hear ourselves to visit. The food was good I had a special and so did both of my friends, had a different special however, it was not but slightly warm, my one friend sent hers back to reheat it as it was cold, some of that is because we were talking and visiting but mine was even cold in part of it.
Nice restaurant; good quality- price value; nice setting for families who get together for birthdays, Christmas, retirement, ....
Il Fornaio did a wonderful job recognizing my wife's birthday and placing us in a good location to increase our special time together. They were gracious with some surprise appetizers and a post dinner dessert. The service was spot on and the cocktails were fresh and creative. If you want to satisfy your good Italian food cravings this is the place.
Food is always good and there is always a good variety of dishes. The wait staff is always friendly and very professional.
We had such a good time and the food was absolutely delicious. Our waiter was the best; solicitous, amusing and not intrusive. Food choices were perfect and the wine was delicious. Thank you for a wonderful evening. It made our anniversary great.
Great Service had a good time with my Wife on her 50th Birthday. Food was fantastic. I highly recommend this Restaurant.
We go to this restaurant at least once a month and love every thing about it especially Annie!
We love Il Fornaio for the great food and service, excellent wine list, and great bar.
Love Matt! Made our experience by the fire on the patio for Valentine's Day fabulous! Thank you Matt!
Good dinner, good table, good service
The food was fantastic. Waiter was not real friendly.
This is a nice place for dinner. Menu is not very extensive but has good choices. The wait staff is attentive and very accommodating, making certain your dining experience is a good one.
The Spumante is the best I’ve had anywhere!
Brought my wife here for Valentine’s Day dinner. The soup was OK very little flavor. Ask for the house Cab wine, turns out it was $16 per glass (it was good) not the $10 I was expecting. The Veal was very good! The dessert was so rich and good!
I will come back.
Went for Valentine's Day lunch; one of our favorite places
We had such a wonderful time on Tuesday. We celebrate valentine day as a family, a party of four, and Il Fornaio is the best. We used some points and paid cash for balance. Umbria lamb chops were the best, as were the manhattans. Laurie, our waitress, got everything right. Ambiance perfect as we were able to talk easily. Sorry to see tasting menu go and points alas will be no more. However still like little presents like the Umbria soup. I love Il Fornaio. We will be back.
Great dinner and service, do miss the tasting menu and the wine flights, they were always a treat. Sad to hear the points program is going away.
Beyond good. Had a great evening. Lighting the food the drinks all worth every cent. Stuff was wonderful and as fast as they could have been
It was fun and relaxing. Server was awesome highly recommend it and we’ll be back!
The food is always very good. The menu changes each month along with stable choices. Everyone can find something to his/her taste. The ambience is wonderful. We enjoy this restaurant frequently.
The server Alex was outstanding, best we’ve had anywhere. Took an hour a and twenty minutes after ordering to get food and then was cooked wrong. Diffently the kitchens fault and not the servers or the managers. Other then kitchen issues would certainly return for same server.
Without an exception we can always rely on having a good meal, wonderful dessert or Martini. The staff are always helpful, friendly and suggest good solutions when we are unsure.
Everyone Should have a favorite restaurant to celebrate those very special occasions. Birthdays, anniversary, graduation, and those very special days we all have in our busy lives. Il Fornaio is my place. The quiet seating locations, or a table by the warm fireplace. The ambience of the overall restaurant. High ceilings, beautiful furnishings. Great bar location away from where you are eating.
The tables with their white starched linen, glassware, silver properly placed. This is elegant at its best. The service puts it over the top. Impeccable. Fast, polite, courteous, knowledgeable.
And so respectful of how you wish your dining experience to progress during the evening. You never have to worry about being pressured to eat your meal and get out so they can use the table for another seating. Our dining experience usually takes about 2 hours at a very leisurely pace.
This is our go to restaurant for a night out that is always memorable.
The food, service and ambiance service was awesome! Definitely recommend this place for any occasion!
Calamari oily and undercooked. Manager comped the dish, but it was so visually bad why didnt the server catch it before bringing it to our table. My wife’s dish was a medley of grilled seafood and was also very oily.
Service was good. Waiter and busboy kept the drinks full and were attentive. Unfortunately their professionalism is usurped by a poor kitchen.
Three people in our group ordered the seafood platter, it was awful. The scallops smelled which indicated they had been there a while, the calamari was rubbery and tasteless, the Ahi was also old and had a greenish tinge. The service was slow, not helpful and when three people complained about the platter, the waiter said he would let the kitchen know.
We have frequented Il Fornaio, at least 10 times a year for 10 years. Not only was all the above an issue, the prices increased substantially since last time. We are not going back, there are many better restaurants in the area.
Great ambiance and environment, food never fails to satisfy. Love that there are gluten-free substitutions for pastas and pizzas!
We were completely surprised and happy with food choices, the service staff were helpful, friendly and quick to fill our water glass or get whatever we needed. I highly recommend the restaurant t anyone looking for a delicious meal and wonderful service staff.
