Loved the calamari
llFornaio as usual was great! Excellent and cheerful service.
Menu was limited. Portions were meager. Will pass on dining here again
Easter at Il fornaio was pleasant and my son, daughter-in-law and I enjoyed being able to eat inside and our meals were very good and enjoyable. I loved my salmon entree and would order it again. My son enjoyed his spicy chicken entree as well. All in all our doing experience was perfect for our Easter get away.
Felt very safe. The food was excellent. The waitress was very good. Loved sitting on the patio which I requested
Food was great! The vodka Pennoni was delicious!! Service could’ve been better, but they did just reopen so I guess they deserve a pass. Menu was pretty limited but again they just reopened. Wish the mimosas were refillable for the price but otherwise we enjoyed our lunch
Was a wonderful evening for dinner. Had great service and very professional.
Food was amazing and the service was top notch. We always have wonderful dining experience.
Food and ambience was great. Our server, Grace, was outstanding and added to the enjoyment of our night out. Would love to be back before too long.
Il Fornaio is a consistently high-quality restaurant. We had a nice evening out, the first one in a year, and felt safe and non rushed. It was delightful. If I had to wish for more, I might wish for more seafood dishes, but that’s only because I was craving seafood that night.
They have done a great job setting up in the alley
The steak was the wrong done-Bess; the chicken breast was burned twice. Terrible food quality compared to EVERY OTHER Il Fornaio; this restaurant truly needs quality control!
Service was terrible. Food pedestrian. Patio dinning was nice
Absolutely love this place. The ambience, the food, the drinks. Amazing
We always live the food and the service is impeccable!
Food was consistent and the wine was good. Lots of tables outside but staff seamed short as we were always trying to flag someone down for something.
Service at the outdoor alley dining section left much to be desired. The responsiveness and coordination should likely improve in the weeks ahead as serving team gets used to big crowds again.
In terms of meal prices, $100 for two (including tax and 20% tip), without alcohol or dessert, is too high for us and we will return infrequently as a result. We have always enjoyed Il Fornaio but the cost now exceeds our fixed income budget.
Everything was "fair", not "good" and certainly not "very good". Hence, the 2 stars and not the 3 or 4. the Linguini Mare contained mussels and scallops that were very small. No butter served with the bread. Caesar salad tasteless. No salt or pepper on the table.
Outdoor patio at 5:30 p.m. Understand creating or expecting ambiance during pandemic is difficult. Would like to keep "it all" going coming out of pandemic, but it's seemingly too early.
The side patio...near Patagonia is terrific! Great service!
Everything was very satisfactory, our waiter was outstanding in everything
I've really gotten to love Il Fornaio. It has been our "go to" during the pandemic for ambiance and quality of food and service.
First time back since the inside ban was partially lifted. A bit disappointed...
I believe the extra numbers hampered their ability and this is understandable.
Service off substantially, but most notably was a drop in quality of their food.
Specifically, their popular seafood linguini dish. Tasted quickly produced instead of the usual deliciously simmered and seasoned sauce.
Oh well, hopefully just an anomaly. I'm happy they are receiving more business and hopefully more profitable.
Excellent mixed seafood grill. Fresh tasting scallops, calamari, salmon, white fish, shrimp with veggies. I'd go back for that!
Great service and delicious food as always!
Great food, excellent service, pricing was excellent! The birthday desert was an excellent touch! The only thing is that my card was compromised the next day. Starting at midnight, It was the only place I used it that day. 😢
Awesome meal as always! Nice to be back inside. Thanks for the great service.
I've dined at Il Fornaio many times and the experience is always pretty good but this time the service was amazing!!! Our server was Rebecca and I can honestly say that she is one of the best servers ever! We never had to flag her down and ask for anything, she was so attentive, friendly, and just made for an overall fantastic experience!
Kudos to Il Fornaio for having someone who is so very customer centric!
So happy we got a table in your lovely patio !
great atmosphere for outdoor seating, friendly staff, and good italian food selection.
Everything was very enjoyable and the food was delicious.
Exceptional value for the high quality of the meal and first-rate experience. Will definitely return to this restaurant.
Had a beautiful time but I believe my server was a bit overwhelmed by how busy it was. Would still recommend this place. ❤️
First of all I want to know that we really like Il Fornaio. The no-fault of anyone there it was really cold in the heaters about us work working as well is a freestanding ones. I came to the conclusion that you had to be shorthanded because the service was considerably slower than usual although the waiter was very good at what he does I think he had too much on his plate that night so I don't blame him but was a little upsetting because we were there with guests. I fully understand the things happen and you will definitely be seeing us again.
Things are looking up, but when indoor dining is more prevalent...all reviews should shine.
It was a very nice meal. We have enjoyed it in the side alley to the restaurant, open space and ok weather.
We love going here. The food is always wonderful and the wait staff friendly. Glad the patio was open.
The server was nice and looked pretty busy. I’ve always loved this restaurant for about 20years but the dishes that we ordered were too salty, and couldn’t finish them. Sad...:(
Service was slow and food took a long time to arrive in between courses. We kept having to ask for refills. Also, had to ask for olive oil at least three times. Food lacked flavor. Someone in their kitchen does not believe in the use of salt.
I love everything about the restaurant especially the congeniality the manger offers.
Concerning the service,I don’t like/appreciate that the runners/servers “auction” the food off when they bring the first who gets what entree ? Can’t the write down the position of the guests and what they ordered ? As an example, position one get the children, position two gets the steak and so forth.....in any fine dining restaurant, that’s basic.
Great location, terrible food. Won’t be back.
It’s been awhile since we ate at any establishment and it was really lovely to dine outside. The food was moderately good - nothing over the top. For the same cost, I’d rather go to Bestia. However, the outdoor ambience was very lovely and the service was great - manager came several times to greet us and make sure everything was good. Will be back again with out kids.
