The restaurant is beautiful and very convenient for someone like me, from Orange County, to meet a friend from L.A. Parking is easy to find. However, you can't ignore the fact that the food is mediocre at best. I had bean soup. It was tasty, but lukewarm. Then I had a chicken salad. There was nothing exciting about it at all and the chicken was shredded and not flavorable. I'll continue to come back because of the convenience, but I know that I would get a very good meal.

We had lunch with our group of five here; the food was very good, but it is a little expensive for us. Our bill came to $150 with a good tip, that equaled $30 each which is $5 above our average lunch cost. Is it worth the extra $5 each? The consensus was that this is a place that we would go to again but not too often!

Love Il Fornia! Food is very authentic! Unfortunately the service at this particular location was subpar! Waiter was pushy and rushed us even though it was midweek and restaurant was not crowded. Only half listened to our requests. Was more concerned with chatting with “regular”customers!

We have dinner at El Fornaio frequently before the Redondo Speaker's Series. Last Monday I had a particularly fabulous ontray, the spinach ravoli with sausage, and fresh tomatoes on top. The waiters always go overboard to deal with our group's wants and needs.

food was good, service was good (as always on both). They were a bit busy, though, so it wasn't really snappy, it was reasonable. I have to say the lamb rack was unusual in the sense it looked like it came from a mutant creature, but the size and taste were okay once I cut and ate it.

The food was excellent. It was a busy holiday weekend but the atmosphere and the atmosphere was festive. Service was great as our waiter was well versed regarding all of the dishes. Everyone in my party was satisfied with their meal.

Il Fornaio is ok, they do 60 to 70% of things right. They have nice cocktails, yummy desserts, and a really good happy hour. The hostess is pretty good and the busboys are nice. That’s about it for the good parts. The wait staff is generally unfriendly, uninterested, and inattentive. We got our soups quickly but then waited 20 minutes more for our entrees which were luke warm with tough meat. We would’ve sent them back but we didn’t see the waiter again. It also took forever to get a refill on our drinks. We dud tell the hostess about the issues with the Neal in our way out and she gave us some soup mixes, which was nice, but overall we weren’t too impressed.

I've come to Il fornio before for special occasions and have always been happy with the food and service. However last week for Valentine's Day was an exception. The food was excellent but pricey which is why we come only for special occasions. The service however was so poor that it ruined my total food experience. They had a kissing booth at the entrance where you could get your photo taken. I couldn't leave soon enough. Very disappointed with the evening. Will try going again because the food is excellent but never again for any special occasion.

I haven’t been here since my wedding day. I forgot how beautiful this place is. We came for Valentine’s Day, and it was worth every penny. Server was busy but still attentive. Great food, great cocktails and beautiful environment. Not too stuffy but just right.

My friends, wife and I had a great time at Il Fornaio. Food is good, excellent quality and taste, very good service. During our dinner we had a surprise visit from the kitchen, the main chef “Vicente “ came to our table to see if everything was fine. That was very nice of him to take the time and visit some tables to see that guests are having a great time. Excellent place. 👍😀

Waiter returned several times because he forgot our order. Had to reconfirm each time.

Soup was the size of a “sample.” About 4 tablespoons for $9. Ridiculous and the soup was tasteless. If I based review solely on the service and the tiny soup I would give between zero and one. Fortunately rest of meal was much better. I’ll never order soup there again.

It was valentine’s day and I expected special menu and not just a few tacky balloons on the ceiling. Disappointed.

We were very disappointed by the reduction of variety of leaf salads available on the menu. In the past my wife could order different salads for dinner, one as an entree and now there is only Caesar.

I have been coming to this restaurant for years and everything has always been very good. On this particular visit, service was fair at best and my rack of lamb was as tough as leather. Perhaps an inexperienced waiter and a bad cut of meat? Hopefully, my experience with the next visit will be as good as before.

three of us meet here because it is nearly exactly in-between our homes. We love the fish choices at lunch with vegetables and the ability to sit and chat for hours. Definitely return here regularly.

Very nice evening. Because of Super Bowl Sunday the restaurant did not have very many people since the game was not over yet. The food was good. I had one of the specials which was shared and it was still too much.
