Step inside Il Fornaio and take a culinary journey through Italy. Early mornings bring rustic, crisp crusted bread hot from the oven accompanied by the scent of fresh brewed espresso. During lunch and dinner hours, pastas and flavorful sauces simmer while meats and vegetables roast over hot coals. Bottles of wine from small, regional wineries are uncorked to complement the dishes, which have been crafted in the custom of Italy's chefs, bakers and homemakers.

Had sea bass special which was terribly overcooked. Everyone else was very disappointed in their meals.

Nothing special whatsoever. Overpriced, but that was expected. Portions were small. Quality was fine, nothing to get excited about. Service could have been much better. Waiter was more concerned with other tables than us. We see no reason to go back.

The food was very good, but what a shame its in the New York, New York. That hotel has really gone downhill with a very funky crowd. I would not go to anything inside that hotel again. Food was good but didn't make up for us sitting "outdoors" in the casino with drunks walking by all night.

Italian restaurants are always a crap shoot, this place has been consistently excellent. Only complaint is alcohol is a bit pricey. One glass of wine and 3 gin and tonics were $53

We were here on a quiet Weds afternoon. Service and food were very good . May need to try a dinner here, though you’re right in the middle of the casino and it could get loud. Great for people watching...it is Vegas after all

My wife and I used to frequent Il Fornaio when it was located at the Green Valley Ranch resort, both for Date Night and also take our four sons, friends, and others for dinners. We used to love how they changed the menu every so often to introduce new fare from different "province." When they closed at GVR, we began going to their restaurant in NY-NY, though not as often, since we live in GVR. We both miss Il Fornaio!! Why ..?

Their food is always outstanding and consistent!

Their wait staff are knowledgable, professional, courteous, and attentive!

Their wine selection is appropriate - their bar knows how to make the perfect Kir Royales and Prosecco Royales - and their desserts are authentic and delicious!

We will continue to return!

This was my second time visiting and will probably be my last. The whole experience felt very rushed in the sense that the waiter was trying to refill his station with guests as quickly as possible. Don’t get me wrong I like that a waiter comes to ask if everything is ok or if they can take my plate but to hover near our table and constantly ask- are you still working on that or will you still give it a try is annoying. The meal itself was sub par at best and felt like fast food Italian. A caprese salad for $17 that is a blast of huge tomates with hunks of cheese on the plate is not what I would call a caprese salad. Unfortunately I would not recommend or return to this restaurant.

I enjoyed INSALATA DEL FORNAIO & PENNONI ALLA VODKA. Everyone else enjoyed their food also.
Staff were friendly and attentive.
If you want really good Italian food, give them a try!

Really quite a good steak, one of the best I've ever had. (And I'm from Texas. We're picky about steak!) The only complaint at all was that they sat us "outside", which is inside, but right next to the casino in a sort of "cafe" area. Made it very loud. But, we didn't really ask for inside seating or anything, so in the end that's our fault.

The ambiance and service doesn't come close to any of the Il Fornaio restaurants in California. A disappointment as I was really looking forward to a nice dinner there.

we have been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years and it is always excellent for both dinner and breakfast. their chibata bread is superb, especially as toast for breakfast. dinner is great, but be warned that the portions are pretty large and can overwhelm a light eater

Service and the food were excellent. Wine selection was very good.
Even requested a special sauce on their linguini seafood dish and they made a nice wine and garlic sauce that was delicious. Easy and comfortable atmosphere. I would recommend at any time.

One of the better meals we have had in Las Vegas. The ambiance is very nice and the service is good. The management team is very good and you can tell takes pride in the restaurant. They were busy making sure that the tables all were well presented and set properly. The food was very good and was served just as requested.

Planned for a dinner prior to a show and made reservations 3 weeks in advance. Seating was quick, friendly staff great waiter. Service was paced properly no rushing a decision or waiting on the server good pace. Menu is well rounded and each entrée was well made. Excellent vodka sauce on the penne past. Pasta is cooked like I like it not soft and not quite al dente. Firm not soft nor hard. Had chicken breast for the other meal very good with a light crust to the edges. Wine was excellent Northwest brand. Desert was very good as well and the value for the 3 course meal is excellent.

The service was good. We did have an issue where they were out of peas that were supposed to be in a dish we ordered but they were out of them. They did not bother to mention it and brought the dish outand we had to ask about it. The food still tasted great and the prices are reasonable for Vegas?

The food was outstanding. I was in Vegas on a convention and we always go to Il Fornaio at NYNY once during the week. It's very reasonably priced and the food is always outstanding.
We had a table of 6 with work associates, 3 female and 3 male. Two of the ladies ordered hot tea. The gentleman who brought the pre-dinner water also brought the tea, different person from our food waiter. He asked if we wanted a couple bottles of water for the table, and we said, "Sure." Turns out the water was $5 a bottle and was split on everyone's bill. A bit of a surprise since we are all on tight expense accounts. Additionally, one of the ladies ordered hot water with lemons, and another ordered hot tea. The water guy forgot the lemons when he brought the hot water, and when we reminded him, he became annoyed. Then when the other lady made her tea selection from a large (1 by 2 feet) box of tea packets, he was very impatient. After she selected her tea, he was visibly upset and threw the tea box down in the area it was stored (behind the bald guy's head in the attached picdture), very near our table. It slammed against the wall with a loud thud. Turns out the tea package our co-worker selected had been previously opened and was not sealed. So, she needed another packet of tea...but no one dared bother this guy again, so we got up and got the tea box ourselves and let her pick her tea. We still tipped the waiter well because it wasn't his fault. The guy was very disrespectful and I question whether we will return during next year's convention. The group was very disappointed.
SO...to summarize, great food, reasonably priced, waiter was good, but the beverage guy was a jerk. Don't go if you don't want to be treated disrespectfully by the water boy! Ugh.

Nothing spectacular. I would compare it to a Bucca de Beppo or similar chain although, unlike Bucca it is not served family style. We chose this as we had tickets to a concert afterwards so wanted something guaranteed to get in and eat before the show. The food was edible and the service was simply OK. There are far better Italian restaurants in LV to check out.

Took over 10 -15 minutes for our server to come to the table...then another 20 for our drinks. Food was ok...need more assistance for the servers. I don't believe it was entirely all her fault, never received bread she said she was bringing...which ultimately the bus boy could have brought...a lot of chaos going on.

Good, solid Italian meal. Wine menu was just so-so. I asked for a taste of a Sangiovesi but the waiter said they don't do tastes...which was strange because the bar tender gave a taste to the man next to me...anyway. I had the Butternut Squash pasta and it was outstanding!! Pasta is always over priced so there isn't much to say about that. It would have been nice to have a small dinner salad but all the salads were $12-15 dollars. I would go here again....the food was good.

We ordered off both the prix fixe and regular menu. Last time we ate here it was excellent, this time not so much. Perhaps because it was during the last hour and the staff was “over it”. Flat bread was ok. Chicken and potatoes off prix fixe was dry and not very good. Spaghetti was ok. Waiter boxed our food right on the table by just dumping it in the box. No longer the “nice sit down” restaurant it appears to be:(
