About Il Fornaio - Las Vegas
Step inside Il Fornaio and take a culinary journey through Italy. Early mornings bring rustic, crisp crusted bread hot from the oven accompanied by the scent of fresh brewed espresso. During lunch and dinner hours, pastas and flavorful sauces simmer while meats and vegetables roast over hot coals. Bottles of wine from small, regional wineries are uncorked to complement the dishes, which have been crafted in the custom of Italy's chefs, bakers and homemakers.

Il Fornaio - Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
I was disappointed with I'll Fornaio in Las Vegas. They have stopped using white table cloths and the noise level is very high. The prices are up there too. For two, with a first course and a main each, two adult beverages each. It cost $150.00+ with tip. We're from San Francisco and that kind of money will get you a much better meal and location at that branch of I'll Fornaio. Try Galliger's at the same Casino. Same high cost, just better.
Great place for dining before or after a show . Menu is authentic Italian so if you’re looking for standard lasagna, they won’t have it. Food is very good though. Some seating is ‘outdoor’ but not outside - you are out in the casino ( which is supposed to look like a NY street) so if you’re looking for a quiet romantic place, ask to be seated inside. The outdoor seating does offer some great people watching though! Service was impeccable.
We went to dinner on Sunday February 11, 2018 and it was a disaster from the beginning. We ordered a salad and they only had a choice of dressings that had anchovies in it. Being allergic to fish I asked for an alternate and he came back with a pure oil. So I didn't eat any salad. The bread came and it was hard and not warm or fresh. We asked for butter and the butter was hard as a rock. We ordered the only roasted chicken dish. When the meal came out the chicken was under cooked and had a sauce that was less than desireable. The waiter was not very friendly and made us feel bad when we asked for anything. The truth is we paid the $80 for the meal and never ate any of it and walked out. We told the hostess when we left and she was like I am sorry and never offered to refund anything. I thought they would at least make an offer for half of the meal. Neadless to say we went to the steak house right around the corner that was AMAZING and so so good with awesome staff. I would not recommend this. They have changed and the food has changed and both not for the better.
I had the sea bass and i love fish but all I could taste was the spice weed they stuffed inside it. It was to be lemon flavored which I like but it was not good and there wasn’t much to it either.
My wife had a special lemonade cocktail which she didn’t like but that may just be her taste as I thought it was good. She had the seafood combination with pasta in a red sauce and said it was very blan and tasteless.
My daughter had one of the fancy salads and said it was just OK.
Overall it was over priced and not what we expected, it would have been alright if we were at the buffet.
Our waitress had an odd conversation about possible chicken bones in a dish one of my guests wanted to order. It was very ackward and begged the question, why would you have a dish on your menu that required a disclaimer about potential choking from it? The manager came over to further 'explain' it and that added to the oddness and awkwardness of the conversation. It just set a negative tone for the evening. Another of my guests was served the wrong meal, so the rest of us wkwardly ate slowly while his meal was being made. While the food was tasty overall, it was not hot enough.
We chose to eat in the bar as the noise level was lower. Service was good. Salads were good. Caprese salad was excellant. All four pasta dishes were bland, disappointing. Pistacio ice cream was delicious. The meal as a whole was overpriced, not a good value.
Made a reservation for a birthday. The website asked what kind of special event it was, The hostess acknowledged the birthday and that is it. Not a beep from the waiter nor a cake or a cupcake nor ice cream. Big big difference from Tao from the night before.
My husband and I arrived a few minutes before our reservation time and were promptly seated. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and did not rush us. We ordered a bottle of wine and wanted to wait a few minutes before ordering our appetizers and entree. Timing of the food was great. My husband ordered the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. It was tender and juicy. I ordered Branzino (fish) and it was delicious. After our entrees were done we were not rushed to order dessert. We shared an ice cream dessert.
The only complaint is that the noise level is loud. If you sit outside it tends to be smoky so your better choice is to dine indoors if smoke from the casino bothers you, which we did.
Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience and great food.
My daughter had the special salad entree and dessert. She ordered the salad which she didn’t like very much and the entree was ziti in a meat sauce which was filled with bacon which was odd so she didn’t like that. Cheesecake for dessert was not even good. The service was very good but food neither of us liked.
Our group of 8 went for dinner before Zumanity one night. We ordered a LOT of food and alcohol and we all enjoyed all of it. Ricardo was our server and was attentive and did a good job. We all loved the food. The only things I didn't appreciate were: we were charged for the big water bottles they brought to the table and Ricardo took it upon himself to "double our appetizer order because he knew they'd be too small for our size group". Paying for water with out that being disclosed to us was distasteful I thought, especially considering the money we were spending there and I would have like the option to say yes or no to doubling our appetizer plates. Would I return, yes!
We were there for new years eve as were staying on site. They put us in a semi private back room with 3 other tables. Food was good although they overcooked my lamb but everyone elses was okay. I noticed the separate new years menu obviously had prices slightly higher.
My family was looking forward to good pizza & other Italian food. Unfortunately, this was not it. The best way I can describe the food is barely mediocre. The pizza was fair at best. The butternut squash was almost inedible. The pasta was hard & tough & reminded me of frozen pasta reheated. The filling was bland & unremarkable. Although this restaurant survives just fine in Las Vegas, where I didn't go for the good, it's difficult to imagine having food of this quality in New York or LA, and having the restaurant remain open. The atmosphere & waiter were good.
Party of 5 seated indoor. Bread and water service ok
Drinks order ok
Restaurant fairly empty
We ordered appetizer and salads
Salads came no appetizer
Entrees were served after 45 minutes
No waiter to be found
Unable to order another round of drinks
Never got appetizer
Have been to Il Fornaio many times with excellent service and quality meals.
Will not return
Very disappointed on our Christmas day meal. The rosemary chicken was covered in a hot red pepper sauce. Which we cut off and didn't eat. We have stayed at New York New York many times and eat breakfast when there which is very enjoyable. The way the promo was written very ambiguously and led me to believe that we could order traditional Christmas dinner or Italian traditional dinner. The waitress seemed to not understand English as we had to ask for butter etc two or three times
Can't say enough about the staff and cuisine at this Il Fornaio! We stayed at New York New York for the National Finals Rodeo and the George Strait concert, so we had a super-packed schedule. Every morning we had breakfast at Il Fornaio! We first went because they partnered with the hotel and offered 2-for-1 breakfast. We came back because it was so yummy. Then we tried dinner there because it was so convenient. And we ended up having dinner there every night! At dinner we met Juan who's been a server there for 17 some years AND his son Juan who is also a server there. At breakfast we met Xhemile who's just delightful, too! What a wonderful place. Our new home away from home in Vegas! Thank you Il Fornaio. We're spoiled...
We took our friends and my aunt and uncle there for a special occasion and we were not disappointed. The service was prompt even though the restaurant was very busy. The food was very good and the whole atmosphere was exactly what we wanted for the occasion. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
