About Il Fornaio - Las Vegas
Step inside Il Fornaio and take a culinary journey through Italy. Early mornings bring rustic, crisp crusted bread hot from the oven accompanied by the scent of fresh brewed espresso. During lunch and dinner hours, pastas and flavorful sauces simmer while meats and vegetables roast over hot coals. Bottles of wine from small, regional wineries are uncorked to complement the dishes, which have been crafted in the custom of Italy's chefs, bakers and homemakers.

Il Fornaio - Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I arrived a few minutes before our reservation time and were promptly seated. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and did not rush us. We ordered a bottle of wine and wanted to wait a few minutes before ordering our appetizers and entree. Timing of the food was great. My husband ordered the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. It was tender and juicy. I ordered Branzino (fish) and it was delicious. After our entrees were done we were not rushed to order dessert. We shared an ice cream dessert.
The only complaint is that the noise level is loud. If you sit outside it tends to be smoky so your better choice is to dine indoors if smoke from the casino bothers you, which we did.
Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience and great food.
My daughter had the special salad entree and dessert. She ordered the salad which she didn’t like very much and the entree was ziti in a meat sauce which was filled with bacon which was odd so she didn’t like that. Cheesecake for dessert was not even good. The service was very good but food neither of us liked.
Our group of 8 went for dinner before Zumanity one night. We ordered a LOT of food and alcohol and we all enjoyed all of it. Ricardo was our server and was attentive and did a good job. We all loved the food. The only things I didn't appreciate were: we were charged for the big water bottles they brought to the table and Ricardo took it upon himself to "double our appetizer order because he knew they'd be too small for our size group". Paying for water with out that being disclosed to us was distasteful I thought, especially considering the money we were spending there and I would have like the option to say yes or no to doubling our appetizer plates. Would I return, yes!
We were there for new years eve as were staying on site. They put us in a semi private back room with 3 other tables. Food was good although they overcooked my lamb but everyone elses was okay. I noticed the separate new years menu obviously had prices slightly higher.
My family was looking forward to good pizza & other Italian food. Unfortunately, this was not it. The best way I can describe the food is barely mediocre. The pizza was fair at best. The butternut squash was almost inedible. The pasta was hard & tough & reminded me of frozen pasta reheated. The filling was bland & unremarkable. Although this restaurant survives just fine in Las Vegas, where I didn't go for the good, it's difficult to imagine having food of this quality in New York or LA, and having the restaurant remain open. The atmosphere & waiter were good.
Party of 5 seated indoor. Bread and water service ok
Drinks order ok
Restaurant fairly empty
We ordered appetizer and salads
Salads came no appetizer
Entrees were served after 45 minutes
No waiter to be found
Unable to order another round of drinks
Never got appetizer
Have been to Il Fornaio many times with excellent service and quality meals.
Will not return
Very disappointed on our Christmas day meal. The rosemary chicken was covered in a hot red pepper sauce. Which we cut off and didn't eat. We have stayed at New York New York many times and eat breakfast when there which is very enjoyable. The way the promo was written very ambiguously and led me to believe that we could order traditional Christmas dinner or Italian traditional dinner. The waitress seemed to not understand English as we had to ask for butter etc two or three times
Can't say enough about the staff and cuisine at this Il Fornaio! We stayed at New York New York for the National Finals Rodeo and the George Strait concert, so we had a super-packed schedule. Every morning we had breakfast at Il Fornaio! We first went because they partnered with the hotel and offered 2-for-1 breakfast. We came back because it was so yummy. Then we tried dinner there because it was so convenient. And we ended up having dinner there every night! At dinner we met Juan who's been a server there for 17 some years AND his son Juan who is also a server there. At breakfast we met Xhemile who's just delightful, too! What a wonderful place. Our new home away from home in Vegas! Thank you Il Fornaio. We're spoiled...
We took our friends and my aunt and uncle there for a special occasion and we were not disappointed. The service was prompt even though the restaurant was very busy. The food was very good and the whole atmosphere was exactly what we wanted for the occasion. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Carlos our waiter was very good. The appetizer were delicious. The ontray were very flavorfull our four year old child said “I am always going to order this pizza” which actually was one of the appetizers. I had my pizza boxed and had it the following day on my way home and it was just as delucious even cold. The day before we had a horrible experience at the wicked spoon at the cosmopolitan buffett. They should change the name and called it wicked food. So from one day to the other it was like been in hell and then go to paradise. Thanks to all the employees that make our dinner delicious at il fornaio
The food was amazing. We had 2 appetizers and four pasta dishes and didn't have a single complaint about anything. We sat out on the "patio" out on the casino floor and that was fun. Felt like we were outside during an evening in New York City. We went to a show right after dinner at the NY-NY and it was a great place to go right before. Prices were also very reasonable.
Great service. We advised our server we had a show to make within an hour. Our order was on our table within ten minutes. My veal was a little tough but the dish was flavorful. My wife had spaghetti and meatballs which was delicious. Excellent homemade pasta. Overall a good dining experience.
Was overly impressed with the food and service. I had made a rezo for 14 people at 8pm on a busy Friday night, and they were able to accommodate my needs. I did however make a mistake in the days, I booked the rezo for a Saturday night and really I wanted it for the Friday, just lost track of the days. However when we all showed up on the wrong day, they were still able to fit us all in, just had to wait about 15-20 mins which was more then acceptable after I made the error....
We hesitated on dining here since it’s a chain type restaurant but so glad we did! When we got home we even looked up to see if there’s one near us. Everything we ordered was exceptional! Portions were appropriate and when the bill arrived we were pleasantly surprised. Definitely worth trying this place out. We’ll definitely be back!!
I made this reservation for 17 same day. No other restaurant could accommodate our party size. My cousin got married on Saturday and we wanted to all have dinner together after the ceremony. Il Fornaio was the perfect spot! The staff was incredible. Attentive and friendly. They communicated with me throughout the process. Our server Carlos was amazing! With a party our size, it’s never easy but he was on top of everything. The food was amazing! From salads and pasta dishes, to filet and dessert, everything was perfect! Thank you Il Fornaio for making our night even more memorable! We will be back next trip to Vegas!!! PS indulge in the tirimisu , the panna cotta or the zabaione. You won’t be disappointed!!
