Il Fornaio - Las Vegas
Step inside Il Fornaio and take a culinary journey through Italy. Early mornings bring rustic, crisp crusted bread hot from the oven accompanied by the scent of fresh brewed espresso. During lunch and dinner hours, pastas and flavorful sauces simmer while meats and vegetables roast over hot coals. Bottles of wine from small, regional wineries are uncorked to complement the dishes, which have been crafted in the custom of Italy's chefs, bakers and homemakers.

It was great!!!
Excellent food. Pretty loud if you sit on the patio since it’s in the casino, but it’s a nice area to people-watch. I can’t say enough good things about the food!
The seafood in the pasta hadn’t held the label of “fresh” in quite a while. Nearly tasteless. Seasonings and pasta were great.
Way too noisy for a romantic EXPENSIVE dinner. I was so unhappy with the food, almost 200$ Bill. The only upside was the service. The food wasn’t spectacular as I had hoped.
We had a great time... we’re vegetarian, so we were excited that they were willing to serve us a pizza minus the meat. Our server was a rockstar! In addition to being so accommodating with the pizza, she was great in helping to choose a yummy dessert. Since there were a few good options, we asked her to choose the dessert without telling us. When she served it, she told us that she had help deciding from a few other servers. The surprise dessert— which, bee tee dub, was the bread pudding with gelato— was totally amazing.
If you are staying at New York New York and want to stay put, then I would recommend II Fornaio. The name means Baker or Bakery, so the bread is GREAT! My husband had a porterhouse steak that melted in the mouth. Side spinach was very good. I had a chicken dish that was recommended to me by the waiter that I did not enjoy. I'm not a fan of Rosemary which always makes things taste bitter to me and this Chicken had Rosemary as prime herb and the other flavor that came through was lemon. It also had a small amount of spicy drizzle of red pepper/pepperconi sauce which I didn't like. The chicken was tender and juicy. I would not recommend this dish. We also ate here for breakfast, delicious bread, butter and jam is served to every table. I had French Toast with side of potatoes, husband had scrambled eggs all were very good. Coffee was not hot. So if you don't need to stay put at the New York New York there are better places to eat in Las Vegas for sure. Chin Chin's was VERY good in the NY NY.
Beef Tenderloin as good as any high priced steak house. Other guests had the Sirloin Strip which was again as good as any steak house. Service excellent.
Mario took great care of us. Food was very good. I would eat here again and again. Ravioli was awesome and the salmon perfectly cooked.
Had a great diner for a reasonable price concidering Vegas Strip restaurant.
We were recommended this as authentic Italian turns out The Ragu we ordered was nothing more the Spaghetti Bog with mince.
Service was rushed no specials explained and wine list not provided until we requested it.
Service was mediocre at best. Server took forever to take our drink orders. Wife’s food was bland, my sliced chicken was pretty good. Wasn’t much for classic Italian fare as advertised.
Best restaurants we’ve ever been too! Tried the Beverly Hills, Denver, and now Las Vegas locations and all are beyond phenomenal.
Expensive but definitely worth it!!
My favorite Italian restaurant in Las Vegas. The food and service is great and priced right. Lots of choices and will even cook off the menu for you.
We made reservations and went there for New Year's Eve. I think they used a different menu for the occasion which would be okay and typical but this was not shown when we made the reservation. The food was average, not bad but nothing special. I have a shell fish allergy which eliminated much of their offering. We went with two other coupled, which made for a party of 6. The service was prompt and good for a busy Holiday, but the food as stated was very average. My wife opted for the steak and lobster and I was limited to spaghetti and not planned and odd for a New Year but the steaks was offered with the lobster and I guess they could have made some sort of substitute but I worry that they may use the same grill or cross contamination so I went for the safe item. My wife said the steak was not as tender as one would expect and my friend who ordered the same made the same statement. The lobster she did enjoy. In all it was okay and with good company and good service it worked for us. I would not go back as there are many other choices in Las Vegas that are better than average.
Made reservations a week in advance. Arrived was seated at a very small table. Menu was completely different then online, very high prices. Small portions, waiter never came to check on us. Placed dinner order, received our cocktails and dinner within 5 minutes. Totally not a relaxed dinner. Waste if money, and disappointing.
The food was enjoyable and everything we had was well presented and very good. I did think some of the tables we to tight My husband was actually touching a chair from the next table in a corner where they had a four person table that really should have been a two person table. I thought the salad prices were a little higher than they should have been but enjoyed it anyway. Would definitely go back.
Not bad for a New Years dinner
Great option to have a nice New Year’s Eve dinner. Good food good wine and great ambiance
The food was hot and delicious and the service was extremely fast. Server was friendly and straight forward.
Although the food and service were very good, we had gone on New Year’s Eve. The restaurant had a special menu for the night where a plate of pasta cost $35!!! Ridiculous! We had looked at the menu online at Il Fornaio and at other restaurants for NYE, and the other restaurants were transparent and showed the increased cost for NYE. Let me tell you, I looked at the other tables, and everyone was eating pasta as it was the cheapest item on the menu. I will never go there again.
We checked in 10 minutes after our reservation time and waited an additional 10 minutes to be seated. Our order was taken expeditiously and our appetizer and drinks came out quick. Entrees arrived timely and were very tasty, but overpriced for the ingredients and portion. We ordered dessert which was scrumptious. We experienced a delay getting our check and settling the bill.
Always our first place to dine when on the strip. The Zuppa de Pesce is a fantastic seafood stew. For coffee ice cream lovers, the Afogato al Caffee is a wonderful dessert. Definitely worth checking out.
Great option in a busy place. The restaurant was well staffed. The food was good and the service was great. Costs were reasonable for the quality served. Enjoy.
This was our first time dining at Il Fornaio and it's one of the best things about the New York New York Hotel & Casino. The server was very friendly and they make a good martini. My only call-out would be is that I asked for a Blue Cheese Stuffed Olive and the server told me they didn't have them. That was a miss since I'm certain the kitchen had blue cheese.
The food was awesome, but our waiter was very rude and only came to our table a total of 3 times throughout the entire night.
Our salads and entrees were delicious! I had chicken and my husband had penne with vodka sauce. We were seated "outside" so there was a lot of noise & energy from the casino. Our server was very nice. We were very disappointed with our desserts though. Tiramisu & cheesecake had no flavor.
Food was good everything else no good. Upon arrival the waiter suggested we get a house suggested appetizer. We said sure, that sounds fun. As a result our waiter chose 3 massive appetizers for 7 people. One was essentially a pizza. The total for our apps was 100.00. We thought he would bring an appetizer. Not so much food that no one was hungry for dinner. During dinner a marching parade came storming through the casino. Not the restaurants fault but for an expensive restaurant I would recommend a place with some ambiance. Also the waiter seemed irritated that our big table needed a bit to split the bill between 4 parties. And just a comment about your town as a whole your, your water tastes like pond scum and I think it made my friend sick.
It was nice, but I think the restaurants of iL fornaio in CA, Burlingame, walnut creek etc are much better
Had the prix fixe menu (dinner & show package). Soup, salad were very good, tiramisu and cheese cake were excellent. The main entree, salmon & chicken, were quite dry. Both seemed to be precooked, as if to be sandbagged for the "dinner rush". Not very good quality.
Service was punctual, yet indifferent. Almost utilitarian- "herd them in and out".
Beautiful place. Pizza was excellent. Great service!
Stopped into this central NYNY eatery for an early dinner and it was very nice. Seafood pasta was savory and the pizza was fresh with a nice tasty crust. A nice place overall for a very fair price.
They no longer offer the lobster ravioli, which I was really looking forward to having. The waiter recommended I go with the lasagne and I wasn’t impressed. It was very basic and for the price it was not worth ever ordering again. The calamari appetizer was delicious and the service was great. However I won’t be dropping that kind of money for food that I was not impressed with...
Fab night great meal and service always lovely in Vegas much better than the Cali experience
We had a late reservation and clearly the wait staff was tired and had very few customers so the wait staff did not stop over too much and wanted us to pay before we finished eating entirely. I know they are not a 5 star restaurant and do not have super high expectations but, it seemed a little bit not so nice.
Quiet night here. We sat inside and the noise level was low, probably because there were only about 5 tables occupied inside.
Food and service were both outstanding.
One minor point; if you have a choice, I'd avoid the inside booths, you can feel every movement of the people in the booth behind you, it's annoying as if people are pushing your lower back every 15 seconds.
Especially on a night when they could have easily given people a bit of space. Otherwise it was outstanding.
The pasta was meh. Nothing special and no real flavor. Pasta over done. Sauce was bland and runny. Didn’t attach to the noodles. More like soup.
The caprese salad was fantastic! Fresh everything!
Ordered an off the menu non alcoholic cocktail that was magnificent!
Service was okay.
So great to sit on the patio in the casino and watch the passers by. The ravioli was wonderful but the portion size was a little smaller than expected for the price. The service was great.
Great selection of fresh Italian.
Food quality was great. Gnocchi was best we’ve had anywhere.
Loved having Nava as our waiter......so friendly and prompt service!!
