Food was delicious as always. However I felt like we were squeezed in between reservations. We had our own reservation and even arrived a few minutes early. The pacing was not at all relaxed.
It was an anniversary dinner although we did not announce that. The food was excellent, including the flatbread appetizer and our entrees (risotto del mare, and a ravioli special). But our server was absolutely the best. Amorette was super-friendly, knowledgeable (my wife always has questions on the menu- and tonight was NO exception) and attentive without being overbearing. We'd go back more frequently if we could get her station every time.
Excellent service. Seated right away. The quality and presentation of the food was superb.
The food was well prepared and tasty. The service was splendid. We were fortunate to have the delightful and efficient Joseph as our waiter. This is a great place to celebrate a birthday or just come for a nice dinner. The ambience is nice and will be even better after the construction next door is finished.
This Il Fornaio has great homemade pasta, a very good changing regional menu, plus a regular menu, so there are lots of options and generous portions to match their attitude.
For vegetarians, they often do substitutions. Their delicious bread is from their bakery, and the deserts are spectacular, including a hard to find authentic affogato.
We also like their Pasadena, and Carmel locations.
This weekend I came here for the first time with some friends. The service was great. The hostesses were friendly and pleasant. We played a few rounds of Bocce Ball and we had a fantastic time. I can't wait to come back.
Every time I eat here it's wonderful. I don't recall our waiter's name but he was kind and professional. Our food was placed before us within about 5 minutes. It was lovely. Thank you.

We went for Easter brunch and loved that their regular menu was also available. The food was delicious as expected, service was quick and all around we had a great experience!

Made surprise reservations for Easter Brunch!! Oswaldo was AMAZING! He was very attentive and constantly came by to check on us, made wonderful recommendations and made sure we had a beautiful experience. I visit the restaurant often but was knew to this location. Definitely returning soon!!
Lovely experience, food was delicious and quite authentic. The service was great as well. Will come back next time we are in town.
Getting to the parking is troublesome. Will not come to Restaurant until construction is finished. The beets salad had only 4 small pieces of beets and the green had too much dressing.

This was our first time to this location. We have been to the one in downtown Sacramento which we loved too. We had the antipasto Della casa, the mushroom risotto, the ravioli, the Burrata pizza, and two other dishes. Everything was delicious. We tried their trio dessert which we loved too. The service was spot on. Our waiter was Steve. We will definately come here again.
One order was incorrect and had to be replaced. When it was time to pay the bill the waiter was not around.
We were celebrating my husband’s retirement and birthday and the food was mouth watering delicious!! The service was exceptionally well paced, attentive and excellent!! Such a memorable evening!!
This place is phenomenal! Visiting Irvine for business and a bunch of colleagues and I had dinner here. It was one of the best meals ever!!
It’s nice to have a good meal after a long conference weekend. I was surprised that the calamari came out so quickly and that you serve Affogato. I had the Saltimbocca from the special menu. The butternut squash was better without the tomato sauce. I’m used to the smaller and quaint Il Fornaio’s in NorCal, this place seemed pretty homogenous and good fit big parties, like Farrell’s. In this case, bigger is not better. However, the valet was on his toes and prompt with the car.

Our Il Fornaio group enjoyed this monthly get-together as usual. A highlight this time was the lamb chops, but everything was delicious. We are also enjoying the new way of ordering from the regional menu. The meal seems to move more smoothly, timewise, without the specific courses.
It was a little more crowded than usual in March, but the service remained as good as ever. It's nice to see others enjoying the food and the groups they're with as much as we do.
I asked for a special veal dish to be made up it was not on the menu (used to be) and they did so with great success

The decor and ambiance were very nice.
The service was good.
The food was average AT BEST. My wife had the veal and it was okay, not good. I had the “so called” seafood risotto. The seafood in the “risotto” was okay, but the “risotto” was just weird textured rice. I’ve had risotto everywhere including Italy and they should be embarrassed to call that dish risotto. The minnestrone didn’t have much flavor. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Even the afogatto was average.
We enjoyed our birthday celebration along with the great lunch value on the last day OC restaurant week.
The vegetables were cold and I had to ask for a second serving of hot vegetables.
The pizza took very long to be delivered to the table.
The food is always top notch, creative and as authentic as I have ever tasted in Italy.
It can get noisy on a weekend so if you are looking for quite, go elsewhere. If you like
an upbeat vibe and friendly waiters and managers, this is an excellent choice.
Always loved this place but this time the food was uninspired. Very little chicken in my pasta. had to ask for bread... Just got the water when I don't like ice. I know the waiter wanted to serve us but felt rushed.
