Fabulous food, terrific service, Neyla a favorite server.
We had a group of 12 people and everyone loved it! The service was great & the food was even better. The caprese salad was so yummy, the bread was hot & fresh, and all of our entrees were delicious! We will be back.
Beautiful restaurant but VERY mediocre food and odd presentation. My daughters ravioli had chopped tomatoes which looked and tasted like they cane from a can of Hunts. My paparedelle were soft and mushy and definitely not home made. If you want outstanding Italian food and real fresh pasta DO NOT dine here.
Great food (!!) and atmosphere. Service a bit slow to start though got going. Disappointed that there weren't any non-alcoholic beers on offer.
The food was very good and the setting was very enjoyable. It was very nice to be able to sit and have a quiet conversation. We've had a hard time finding a place that does not have excessive noise and so this will now be one of our go to places. Our waitress was wonderful, very knowledgeable and friendly.
Fabulous! Best meal in Denver. Great staff, great food and overall excellent.
This was our 3rd experience eating at this restaurant. But I must say the friendliness was lacking and the food not as good. One meal came out cold and was sent back to heat up. When it came out it was lukewarm.
The occasion for the dinner was a 21st birthday and the manager on duty was not going to allow us to decorate the table with confetti and balloons. . .we did it anyway.
Our waitress was more pleasant than I can say and she did an excellent job taking care of our needs. . .other than the cold meal.
I really don't know if we would return for another meal.
A relatively slow Monday night and the service was as slow as the number of tables taken.
Our occassion was a special birthday - it was told at time of reservation. Nothing was said to us about this . I talked with the manager on the way out and he was so excellent with his apology and then treats as we left - he was the best!!
Awesome in every way!
First time visiting, Very nice atmosphere. Had reservations and were seated immediately. While there were several open tables near us, we were seated at a very small table up against a partition wall for a group room. I didn't think they made tables that small....Service was excellent and attentive. My wife had the chicken and said it was very good, while veggies & potatoes were barely warm. I had the Ravioli, it was hot and absolutely delicious! Overall nice experience, and we discussed next visit bringing some friends.
Went early to celebrate my daughter’s birthday since we had movie tickets at 7pm. Waiter arrived seemed pleasant. I did not order a drink, iced tea, but my daughter did. He brought water first and I asked for straws. Came back to take drink orders and I asked for straws again. Finally, my daughter went to the bar and got the straws. It wasn’t busy yet but length of time seemed long between his appearances. Daughter enjoyed her spinach ravioli. I ordered the cod and asked for it well done. It wasn’t ...it was cooked but the texture didn’t work for me. The sauce was salty and I would not order again. My error in ordering it. A group of four arrived in our waiter’s section and ordered a bottle of wine. He became chatty with them and I realized since we didn’t order much wine/ liquor his attention to us was minimal. I would return and try something else but not have him as my waiter. This restaurant doesn’t make it high on my list to return quickly. Other staff were very pleasant.
We had a large family group come in from out of town for a visit. I needed a place not too far from where they were staying, easy to find, and good ambience and food. I have never been disappointed whenever I took family or friends to Il Fornaio and again was rewarded for my trust. The food was great, we had a private room for all of us to enjoy each other and the waiter was terrific.
Food was great! Our waiter was inattentive and preoccupied. We had to wait over ten minutes once we were served to even get water. We go here a lot and have never had that kind of service. We will go again.
Family v day dinner.
The food here was excellent though I was disappointed somewhat by the size of the dish, wishing it had been larger for the price of the dishes.
The food is always good, if not better than good. But at the end of the day, I am am always left with the feeling that it is exceptionally over priced.
Food was very good and the service provided by Jam was excellent! We were greeted by Page as we entered the restaurant. She was very professional and friendly. We shall return!
Great as always!
We enjoyed the food very much! Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the dishes and options. Yummy wine! A nice experience. Slightly louder than I remember, but overall a very fun experience.
This was our first time at Il Fornaio, and we will be back. The food was superb, and the bartenders and wait staff were excellent.
Ordered the lamb medium rare which was exactly how it was cooked. All pieces were very tough and very sinewy. Completely tasteless. Sad for Colorado which is known for its lamb.
We had an excellent experience at Il Fornaio on Valentines Day. The food was excellent. Even though it was very busy, the service was great. Eddie was our waiter. He is the best. I highly recommend this restaurant for any dining occasion.
Valentines Day. Service great...Food not so great...
Always good. Wasn't full even though it was Valentine's Day so was a little surprised at the slow service. Appetizer was tasty if not a little cold. Why do restaurants insist on sending out butter that is hard as a rock? Please stop. Server was friendly and professional, if a little slow. Of course we'll be back though. The food is great as is the location.
Front desk sent us to unacceptable table. We complained, were then escorted to another poorly placed table, passing by numerous suitable.open two tops. Have never had this happen before—second bad location after first. To me this indicates disdain for the customer. This hypothesis was confirmed when my wife spoke with the manager. We are frequent diners at this establishment.
The rest of the evening was wonderful, good food, excellent service.
Went to Il Fornaio for Valentines Day, and really enjoyed the experience. Beef Carpaccio and Zuppa for the first course, then the pork chop and beef filet entrees, followed by a flourless chocolate dessert . All extremely tasty and well presented. I was, however, shocked when I learned the dessert had been $14.95 - seems pretty steep. Only other minor issue is that our server forgot to bring our boxed leftovers back to the table and we left without them. Thankfully, they were found and we returned to retrieve them. Overall, a high quality dining experience.
This visit we celebrated Valentine's Day early. Gorgeous food and great service. Overall very good as usual.
Great dining experience. Our server Lydia was exceptional!
Excellent food, BEST waiter in Denver (Jam), very friendly staff and they take special requests. The friend whom I dined with is on a very specific and restrictive diet. They were able to make her something that was not on menu and it was AMAZING!!! In fact, being a good supportive friend, I had the same thing, figuring it would be mediocre at best and was very surprised at how good it was. I will go back here again and again!
Decent place, good atmosphere, inconsistent food and weird service. We liked our server this week Zach, but typically service is iffy at best. The ravioli I had was way undercooked and tasteless. The bread we were given didn’t taste fresh, which could be because it was super bowl Sunday and the restaurant was dead. We booked at 5 because the server said that’s when happy hour was, all to come to find out that they don’t do happy hour on the weekends, which we were told when we arrived. Anyway, just a sub par experience, which seems to be the norm unfortunately. It’s not a horrible place, just majorly inconsistent.
I had not been to Il Fornaio for several years so was not sure what to expect. I was extremely impressed! I love the atmosphere and the ambiance. Also appreciated the waitstaff wearing white jackets and bussers wearing red coats, easy to know who the staff is. Very friendly staff. VERY good food with a variety of options to choose from. I am going back again SOON.
Restaurant personel were very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. This is a great place to go on a Saturday afternoon for a quality meal with good service and a family friendly atmosphere (think grandkids).
I love this restaurant in the DTC. It's great for lunch and has wonderful options for dinner. It's romantic and hip too. I'd recommend any time. Been coming here for years and it never disappoints.
We had a lovely evening. The food was amazing and our waiter Alan was superb! We loved our experience and will definitely be back for more!
Food was terrific as always. Jam is an incredible waiter. He is so attentive and on top of everything.
We can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was. The food was fabulous, and the service impeccable. Our waiter, Eddie, was attentive and knowledgeable, and took great care of us.
We will definitely be visiting more often.
Food and service were excellent! Our waiter was attentive and made it a fun experience. Food is always outstanding. I love this restaurant! Will go back often!! Dining is in an open area and can get busy at times. Just keep that in mind if you are looking for something quiet and cozy.
Excellent service and very good food.
