Delicious food, wonderful service! Neyla is a terrific server and the chef and managers are always so nice. Thanks!
Loved it! Wonderful service, food, and atmosphere.
Always great food - it is our go-to place when in the South side of Denver.
Excellent food, excellent service.
The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my daughter ‘s needs for soft food options after a surgery. We truly appreciated it!
Easter lunch
Went here for Easter Brunch. They didn't have a buffet which may have explained why it wasn't crowded at all. Given that it wasn't crowded, food took too long to get to the table, and on top of that most of our food was cold. Seems like this place doesn't live up to its reputation, based on this experience. Likely won't go back.
Il Fornaio was a great experience. I hadn't been there for quite awhile but it is still a wonderful restaurant. The food is great and the service was professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for special occasions, family get togethers, or business dinners. You can't go wrong in choosing this restaurant.
Always a fine experience
Always perfect! Just with they still had a Creme Brûlée on the dessert menu!
Have always enjoyed Il Fornaio and the food, but for some reason they put us alone in a special event room, right next to the computer that servers used to put in orders. We arrived early, had a reservation, and there were maybe only a handful of tables seated in the main dining room when we arrived. Understandably the servers were constantly at the computer rand talking among themselves, so it wasn't relaxing. It was a disappointing night overall.
Love this restaurant - we had a lunch meeting with people converging on Denver from other parts of the country. Perfect ambiance, low-noise, great service, and and delicious food for such a meeting. Il Fornaio used to have a location in Portland (where I live) and I was so disappointed when it closed several years ago - it was always one of my favorite places for business lunches.
Food was delicious. Started with the house salad which was very fresh and perfectly dressed with generous Parmesan cheese. We had the ravioli for dinner and it was freshly made and the perfect combination of flavors. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here.
My wife and I went in for a casual Saturday night dinner. The service started out as very accommodating, but things went south very quickly. We ordered drinks, we never received and had to ask as we were waiting at least 15 minutes. When we did receive the drinks, my wife had ordered a Kettle One dry martini, and she had to ask for garnishments (no olives). Also, drink was not made to her satisfaction. We had ordered a salad, and the lettuce had "rust" spots, and when we asked for a fresher salad, we were told this is as fresh as it was going to get. Not the waitresses fault, she obviously felt bad that our dining experience was unpleasant. We had to leave and went to another Italian where the food was exceptional and the service was better.
We've dined at this restaurant often over the years because it's close to home. Some experiences were better than others, but on our last visit, everything was wonderful. We met the new manager. I view this as a positive change. They really seemed to be working to improve, and they succeeded. I recommend the chocolate hazelnut cake for dessert.
Overall, a good dining experience
This is our go-to special occasion restaurant; always a great experience with the food and the service.
Authentic atmosphere in a wonderful old-world style architecture and decor. Superb service. Great steak!
Fabulous food, terrific service, Neyla a favorite server.
We had a group of 12 people and everyone loved it! The service was great & the food was even better. The caprese salad was so yummy, the bread was hot & fresh, and all of our entrees were delicious! We will be back.
Beautiful restaurant but VERY mediocre food and odd presentation. My daughters ravioli had chopped tomatoes which looked and tasted like they cane from a can of Hunts. My paparedelle were soft and mushy and definitely not home made. If you want outstanding Italian food and real fresh pasta DO NOT dine here.
Great food (!!) and atmosphere. Service a bit slow to start though got going. Disappointed that there weren't any non-alcoholic beers on offer.
The food was very good and the setting was very enjoyable. It was very nice to be able to sit and have a quiet conversation. We've had a hard time finding a place that does not have excessive noise and so this will now be one of our go to places. Our waitress was wonderful, very knowledgeable and friendly.
Fabulous! Best meal in Denver. Great staff, great food and overall excellent.
This was our 3rd experience eating at this restaurant. But I must say the friendliness was lacking and the food not as good. One meal came out cold and was sent back to heat up. When it came out it was lukewarm.
The occasion for the dinner was a 21st birthday and the manager on duty was not going to allow us to decorate the table with confetti and balloons. . .we did it anyway.
Our waitress was more pleasant than I can say and she did an excellent job taking care of our needs. . .other than the cold meal.
I really don't know if we would return for another meal.
A relatively slow Monday night and the service was as slow as the number of tables taken.
Our occassion was a special birthday - it was told at time of reservation. Nothing was said to us about this . I talked with the manager on the way out and he was so excellent with his apology and then treats as we left - he was the best!!
Awesome in every way!
First time visiting, Very nice atmosphere. Had reservations and were seated immediately. While there were several open tables near us, we were seated at a very small table up against a partition wall for a group room. I didn't think they made tables that small....Service was excellent and attentive. My wife had the chicken and said it was very good, while veggies & potatoes were barely warm. I had the Ravioli, it was hot and absolutely delicious! Overall nice experience, and we discussed next visit bringing some friends.
Went early to celebrate my daughter’s birthday since we had movie tickets at 7pm. Waiter arrived seemed pleasant. I did not order a drink, iced tea, but my daughter did. He brought water first and I asked for straws. Came back to take drink orders and I asked for straws again. Finally, my daughter went to the bar and got the straws. It wasn’t busy yet but length of time seemed long between his appearances. Daughter enjoyed her spinach ravioli. I ordered the cod and asked for it well done. It wasn’t ...it was cooked but the texture didn’t work for me. The sauce was salty and I would not order again. My error in ordering it. A group of four arrived in our waiter’s section and ordered a bottle of wine. He became chatty with them and I realized since we didn’t order much wine/ liquor his attention to us was minimal. I would return and try something else but not have him as my waiter. This restaurant doesn’t make it high on my list to return quickly. Other staff were very pleasant.
We had a large family group come in from out of town for a visit. I needed a place not too far from where they were staying, easy to find, and good ambience and food. I have never been disappointed whenever I took family or friends to Il Fornaio and again was rewarded for my trust. The food was great, we had a private room for all of us to enjoy each other and the waiter was terrific.
Food was great! Our waiter was inattentive and preoccupied. We had to wait over ten minutes once we were served to even get water. We go here a lot and have never had that kind of service. We will go again.
Family v day dinner.
The food here was excellent though I was disappointed somewhat by the size of the dish, wishing it had been larger for the price of the dishes.
The food is always good, if not better than good. But at the end of the day, I am am always left with the feeling that it is exceptionally over priced.
Food was very good and the service provided by Jam was excellent! We were greeted by Page as we entered the restaurant. She was very professional and friendly. We shall return!
Great as always!
We enjoyed the food very much! Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the dishes and options. Yummy wine! A nice experience. Slightly louder than I remember, but overall a very fun experience.
This was our first time at Il Fornaio, and we will be back. The food was superb, and the bartenders and wait staff were excellent.
Ordered the lamb medium rare which was exactly how it was cooked. All pieces were very tough and very sinewy. Completely tasteless. Sad for Colorado which is known for its lamb.
