Step inside Il Fornaio and take a culinary journey through Italy. Early mornings bring rustic, crisp crusted bread hot from the oven accompanied by the scent of fresh brewed espresso. During lunch and dinner hours, pastas and flavorful sauces simmer while meats and vegetables roast over hot coals. Bottles of wine from small, regional wineries are uncorked to complement the dishes, which have been crafted in the custom of Italy's chefs, bakers and homemakers. Il Fornaio means "the Baker" in Italian. This award-winning restaurant offers an authentic and unique Italian dining experience. Specialties include wood-fired rotisserie and grilled meats, poultry and game; housemade pastas; pizzas from an oak wood burning oven; fresh salads and housemade soups; a wide variety of desserts; and fresh baked bread made daily from scratch. Winner of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence 2007.

One of the best Italian meals I have had in a long time. Wife and I came her for Valentines Day and was worth it. Service was good and the food was better. Have eaten here many times but forgot about this place. Give it a shot you will not be disappointed.

Went for Valentine's date. Enjoyed it. Great service and beautiful resturanr. The food was good. I had the lasagna ($28). It had a tad bit too much meat for my taste though and the pasta was very thin. I rather have more pasta than meat. And my boyfriend ordered the lamb $50! He didn't think it was enough meat. Our favorite part was the dessert which was surprisingly the cheapest thing we orded. $10 and it was the best chocolate cake Ive ever eaten! I would swing by again just to have the cake to go lol. Also, the tables were a bit too close together for our comfort. I hope they change that.

Overall it was an enjoyable dinner with a friend. However, the facility it is showing it's age. It is not up to par with some of the other Il Fornaio's I have eaten at. The food was good for the price and the service was above average.

I ordered the fish mixed grill. It was overlooked and then serviced on a sizzling-hot metal platter that continued to cook the fish until it was totally dried out.

Il Fornaio is a very old establishment in the restaurant industry, food over all is always good but can be hit or miss some times, the overall service is the worst I have ever encountered in all off my years in dining out and I told the waiter what was on my mind that evening

Had another wonderful meal. Although Il Fornaio is a chain, it never feels like one. Always fresh, delicious, with great services and a respectable wine list.

Disappointing trip to one of my favorite "chain restaurants". They did not have the same
quality that I am used to when dining at other locations of Il Fornaio .
They also did not have the same dishes I am used to ordering;
bread was stale, tho
immediately replaced by outstanding olive bread fresh out of the oven.

All in all, I was disappointed.

The location is outstanding on Beverly Blvd in center of Beverly Hills shopping...

We had a nice quiet table in the back where we could actually hear one another speak. Great to be part of a crowd but hard to hear in the front area of the room. The food is always great

I've been disappointed in Il Fornaio the last few times I've been there and stopped going for very long time. Decided to give it one more chance and sadly found it to be worse than ever. The food and service were terrible. Never again. There are too many great Italian restaurants in this city to choose from.

An old stand by in Beverly Hills that has exceptional service and nice atmosphere. The wine list is very good and the price is fair for the area. Food is consistent and the crowd is down to earth women shoppers and familys getting together

Great range of food to fit all tastes. Vibrant atmosphere that makes you happy and a menu that is simply fresh, unprocessed and tasty!
