Why so stingy on the bread and water service. Plenty of help walking around but not interested in really helping you! Poor service.
Great food great service. Beautiful outdoor dining area.
First day dining with a small group since the pandemic. It was a warm day in Beverly Hills, and we were tucked in behind the faux hedge and spaced a comfortable 10' from the other tables so it felt safe. The staff was beyond amazing. In particular, we were dazzled by the service of our server Angelo who made sure we didn't want for anything. His runners and bus boys were also gracious and helpful. Ok now lets talk about the cuisine. Everything we had, from the appetizers, salads and pasta dishes were delicious. We ordered one of each desert and again, delicious. I am not a gourmet, but i am vegan and they had a few vegan items on the menu. Typically they are not that exciting but in this case, both dishes we ordered were amazing. My friends had salmon and also said was delicious. I have worked nearby the location and drive by it every single workday and never dined here before today. I am glad I did and look forward to going back!
I love this place it is such a nice atmosphere and the waiters are very nice and the food is excellent I would definitely go back many times
Used to be a LOT better..
Food became very italo-American..
Pasta full of garlic felt more like mulberry street..
Ambiance is nice but food is nowhere what it used to be.
With pandemic, the menus are limited and pricier than usual.
Delicious food; outdoor dining was enjoyable; service was excellent.
Great food and very safe out door dining. Service was good except it took quite along time to get your cocktails
Excellent customer service. The food was great.
Always a good solid meal. Everyone left feeling happy and full.
Cool evening. More heaters, had to wear a coat.Food and service outstanding..
Excellent staff. Very nice food.
Server was amazing! Helped us pronounce the items on the menu!
Great! The food was delicious, friendly service. We got seated right away.
As yet indoor seating isn't permitted, but there was a very nice eating area outside. It was a little chilly but there were heaters. The food and the service were very good. Two of us had the restaurant week special for $45 which was a good deal. Also, there have a good wine list, both by the bottle and the glass.
Very pricy with low quality food. Used to be good 2 years ago at my last visit but this time it was very disappointing.
As is with all Los Angeles, the restaurant has adapted to outdoor dining only with enhanced sidewalk & street tables with a generally nice feeling except in the front of the restaurant which is located under harsh lighting. The menu had been reduced and was missing personal favorites like their spinach salad and calzone. The servers are friendly & attentive but it still feels like a watered-down experience at fairly high prices.
I had a reservation for 1230 pm on Friday March 5th for two and I was there while my guest was 10 mins away. I had asked to be seated but they said they needed the full party there and I said I’ll buy an appetizer or drink and wait at the table in the meantime but they said no you have to stand outside and I said on the curb? And she said yes it’s city regulations. I thought this was disrespectful as it’s not like I’m waiting for a party of 5+ and will be taking up multiple tables. I will not be coming back here again it seems to tout a semi classy atmosphere but it is not like that when you are there. This is not the place for a great dining experience with friends moreso just a pitstop for lunch
Great food! Good prices! Excellent service! Will definitely go back!
Of course, this is COVID so probably wasn’t the best. But even with a limited menu, the restaurant did not have even the few selections printed
Service was ok. Servings were small compare to previous menu items (likely COVID related).
Had a better meal at Mayborne Hotel, which is up and coming....
Sun was in our eyes and no umbrella to help
I always love coming here but for some reason there was no fresh pepper available (was told it was covid but I’ve been here many times during covid and have had fresh pepper). Quality of ingredients seemed lacking. Will come again though as this just seemed to be a one off and we all have our bad days.
Food could have been better, atmosphere fantastic. Seafood was delicious but the pasta dishes were less than expected. Overall nice experience. Would return in the future.
Food is not good
The table we were seated at was far off to the side and was not warmed by heat lamps. It was disappointing to have made a reservation then to be sat over there. Others refused to take the table. Service and food was great though.
Valentines. Food was cold. Ans my seafood plate was tasteless I live this Restaraunt but wa really disappointed
Good food and wonderful service! Of many places we’ve gone, Il Fornaio does a consistently amazing job of ensuring COVID precautions are taken and that it still feels like a special night out! Well done!
Best Italian food I Los Angeles. Authentic and tasty,
As good as the food is Rudy the waiter, ask for his section, it’s worth it. He makes it a fun time
Great service and delicious food. Always wanted to go and glad we came. Substantial portions of calamari, salad and pasta.
The outdoor dining with he superb food made a great evening.
Terrific break from pandemic life. BH Il Fornaio has a wonderful outdoor dining experience, great ambience and amazing service. Get away from the posers, BH Il Fornaio is for nice, low key dining with lots of local residents on hand.
Great waiter- very attentive. Deserves 5 stars
The best Italian food in BH, period!
Amazing food! Service and gorgeous outdoor ambience. Perfect night!
Ok. This is my first time giving a 1 star for a restaurant. First of all. Me and my friend were late for 18 minutes which was our fault. We arrived at 12:45 and she was very mean to us and said there’s no seat. But there was an table was empty entire time and the front desk didn’t let us sit there and she said we have to wait 5-10 minutes. We waited until 1:03, my friend said we’ve already waited more than 10 minutes and she finally brought us to the table which was empty for the entire time. There suppose to have free bread offer for every table. Nobody bring it to us. I ordered a sea bass which taste weird. Also I said I don’t want lemon. Put whatever sauce on the side. They still gave me one with sauce on the fish. Which made me waited another 20 minutes for another one. We asked for water twice and napkin 3 times but they just never bring them to the table until we left. Also when we were eating. There was an accident happen( the pillar fall and the table of people behind us started to screaming), This my worst experience forever.
Despite making a booking on OpenTable, we were made to wait nearly 30 minutes in the cold (not even allowed to stand inside) and wait for a table. The waiter was rude, and they turned down all our international IDs expecting us to carry out passport around. After ordering, our food took over 30 minutes to reach our table (strange on a not-busy night). Food was just about average, a Trader Joes frozen meal may have been better. The over all bill being cheap (split by 6) was the only thing that saved the night. Not the place to go if you’re looking for good Italian.
Restaurant was closed. Neither restaurant returned calls before nor OpenTable replied to email. Poor service on both ends
The food is amazing. This service is wonderful. I recommend highly
As usual food was excellent as well as service
