High end pricing with mediocre food and just ok service. We previously had come when it was fiore rosso and it was a top notch experience, despite the price. It was certainly a special occasion restaurant but it was one we appreciated and enjoyed. This place just seems to be one big identity crisis in its new iteration. Decent vibe and refreshed build out but a confusing menu that sits somewhere between cheap pizza place/trattoria in quality and high end steakhouse in price point. For the price point you’re asking for it’s just not there, plating and dishware were no frills and felt out of place in the upscale environment. Food was all over the place, focaccia toasted beyond recognition, overcooked halibut, and the fritto misto on the menu, while well the seafood was well cooked, the batter had completely fallen off the items. Bar service was incredibly slow, 20 min for a cocktail despite a half empty restaurant. Service just wasn’t of the caliber of a high end restaurant/the predecessor (I.e. silverware not changed out between courses). I’m not one to say anything in person, but this just wasn’t a good experience. Was excited and hopeful for these guys to reopen, but I think you’re better suited going to carina sorella across the street.

We were really excited about the new menu, but basically everything fell flat. For a Vetri restaurant, starting off the meal with the pizza being a huge miss was a bad sign.. and they served the “focaccia” as dry toasted slices. The dish should’ve been called crostini then? The best bite was the Fiore burger. 10/10 recommend sitting at the bar to enjoy that burger, but otherwise it’s a pass from the 4 of us.

We had high hopes for the new Il Fiore but were disappointed. First, my cocktail had so much ice in it that there was very little actual cocktail. Next, we ordered 4 starters - Focaccia with Whipped Ricotta, White Bean Dip, Caesar salad and Eggplant Rolatini. I was shocked when the Focaccia arrived. It was thin slices of burned, toasted bread that in no way resembled focaccia. When we asked the waiter if we received the correct dish, he was taken aback and replied with attitude, “That’s our house-made focaccia.” There was no interest in what was wrong or why we were asking. I believe that if a menu lists “Durum Focaccia”, it is fair to assume it will be freshly made. If it is to be served toasted, that should be stated on the menu. And to make matters worse, the whipped ricotta amounted to a few spoonfuls in a small jar. We did enjoy the white bean dip but the other two appetizers were just “ok”. The caesar salad was nothing special and the eggplant dish was just plain weird - cold burrata on top of some kind of lukewarm pasta-rolled eggplant and tomato sauce that didn’t have much taste. The main dishes were also disappointing. The pork chop was dry and the chicken parm was smoky. If the tomato sauce had a smoky flavor, it should have been stated on the menu. I don’t like smoky flavor and would not have ordered it. I realize they just opened, but these issues aren’t due to them being a new restaurant. The food just wasn’t good and it wasn’t inexpensive either. Overall, it was a let-down and we likely won’t return.

Amazing meal here! We went to fiore rosso and feel that they made substantial changes to the ambience that look amazing! Food wise we got the Caeser salad and the Burrata. Both were outstanding. For our entrees we got the chicken parm, the pork, and the burger. The burger was so impressive and a highlight. The chicken parm and pork dish were very good as well. The service was lovely, we felt that the waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. The meal was also timed perfectly. Great experience and highly recommend this restaurant!

My husband and I had a fantastic Friday date night dinner at il Fiore. Our server was Tommy and he was excellent. We will ask to be served by him on our next visit. I started with a burrata salad and my husband had fried calamari and shrimp. The burrata had tomatoes, stone fruit, arugula and it was seasoned perfectly. The seafood app was crispy, hot and cooked perfectly (nothing worse than rubbery seafood.) We had chicken Parmesan and scallops for our entrees. Fire roasted tomato sauce really added a nice depth to the dish. The one thing that I was disappointed with was having to pay an up-charge for pasta with the chicken parm and then getting a portion that was exactly three bites. In any other Italian restaurant a generous portion of pasta would be included with the entree. I’m kindly asking the management to make this change, please. The scallops were delicious and again, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our dessert included butterscotch budino and hazelnut torte both of which had serious flavor and lovely texture to round out our experience. Thanks again to Tommy for quick, attentive and friendly service.
