Il Farinaio Grille is an authentic Italian restaurant located in Bradenton, FL. Our owner Luigi brought his culinary expertise from his home town of Naples, Italy and surrounding areas of Italy to our menu, serving real, homemade, Italian cuisine and brick oven pizza. All made from scratch, and all with the freshest local ingredients. No doubt, a glass of your favorite wine or beer and one of Luigi's many mouth-watering Italian dishes, followed by a delectable dessert will be sure to make for a memorable dining experience.

When I entered, I told the owner I had reservations and gave my name. He said they no longer took reservations through OpenTable. Then he left us to stand there for 7 minutes and then finally reacknowledged us and said he supposed he could find us a table. We almost left..... no one said, “don’t worry, wait a few minutes and we will seat you.” There were several open tables. He made it seem as if it was our fault....that we should have known to call fir a reservation rather than book through OpenTable. Once seated, our waitress was wonderful. She was in training , but was very competent. We ordered the meatball with linguine Happy Hour special for $8, garlic knots $2.50, drinks $2 beer, and shared a Greek Salad $8. The meatball with linguine was delicious. The meatball was tender and tasty. The sauce was balanced. The garlic knots were very good. The Greek salad wad good, although it could have used many more cucumbers. Unfortunately the tomatoes were not very ripe, but that is a common issue in restaurants. The dressing was good and the greens were a nice variety and very fresh. Unfortunately, they were out of Coca-Cola! Although the food and service were good and the price was right. However, I think I’ll take my business where it is better appreciated.

The food is very good and my overall rating would be higher if we attended on a less crowded evening. Unfortunately, they were understaffed and our waitress did not handle the situation well and was somewhat abrupt. It took an hour to receive our meal, so the kitchen was likely understaffed as well. We will return but not on a busy Friday or Saturday night..

The restaurant was empty when we came for lunch and there was still a long delay to get our food. Additionally one of our party received her lunch long before the rest so was almost finished when the other food arrived. The meatball sandwich was mediocre.

2nd visit to this restaurant for the express purpose of trying the pizza which turned out to be good, but nothing extraordinary. Ordered large salad which was fabulous. Wonderful service including a "stop-by" from the owner.
