The eggplant parm was great but my husband ordered the whitefish special and it was not good at all. I couldn't eat it and it even smelled pretty bad. He ate some then just covered it up with his mashed potatoes. It was $44 which it totally was not worth. The waitress was great and it was fun but the fish was terrible.

Weird complaint-but as soon as you order, the food literally comes out immediately… It’s almost as if you are being rushed so the table can open up for another group. This was our second visit, and I realized (when the food came out as quickly) our previous visit the year before, the same situ. We were here during a tradeshow and came relatively early, but the restaurant quickly fills up so it may be the case.

We started with the nonnas meatballs which were ok except the the sauce was cold. The entrees though we’re absolutely disgusting. I love salt but both me and my husbands dishes were inedible because of how salty they were. I got the risotto and he got the carbonara. The waiter tried to tell us he could’ve made them fresh, but the risotto came out in less than 10 minutes which is hardly enough time to make it fresh in the first place. All around awful experience. Would not recommend.

Had the salmon and the house made gnocchi - shared the dishes - both meals were excellent - sat in the covered outdoor patio area - very comfortable - every once in a while got a whiff of Chicago sewer (yuk) but what can you do? Loud but could still have a conversation - the vibe was happy! Nice! Would go back in a heartbeat - I was visiting (business meeting) from Las Vegas

Food was excellent. Service was NOT good. Our waiter acted like we were a bother. Condescending when we asked questions. Had to ask for a fork 3 x. One dish came late. She came to check on us like it was a chore for her. Unfortunately for Il Cullacino, this is the taste that left with me that night. I would recommend it if you got rid of our wait person.

Food and ambiance was good. The service was very rushed. We had our bottle of wine, salads and meals brought all at the same time within 15 minutes of sitting down. Felt very rushed from our waitress. Minimal attention to service. If looking for a quick meal this is your place. If just want to enjoy your wine and food— not your place.

Prices were reasonable by today's inflated standards, service was casual and attentive, and the food was very good. $15 seemed pretty steep for valet parking for a non-downtown restaurant, but it was snowy and I didn't feel like driving around a lot. A nice spot for dinner before a Wintrust Arena event.

We absolutely loved this place! It was a last minute selection to close out Chicago’s restaurant week, and we couldn’t have made a better choice. Everything from the prompt service to the delicious food and drinks, is worthy of 5 stars. We will definitely visit this establishment many, many more times in the future.

Met my sister for dinner during restaurant week, the food was pretty good! I had a risotto special which I enjoyed, but their fried calamari appetizer was my fave my part of the meal. The ambiance was top. I think it’s a pretty good spot if you want to enjoy a small intimate dinner. Overall seems pretty authentic!

Everything was great. Food was great. Service was great. It was a little loud, but manageable. Bear in mind the portion sizes are enormous. I got chicken gardinara and my girlfriend got salmon and there was enough for 2 people on both of our plates.

$58, 12oz filet cooked unevenly and raw in large portion of meat…also entire plate of food, potatoes, spinach and steak sitting in a puddle water/juice. I used bread to soak and separate water from my food. After sending back steak, it came back…now I have well done and medium parts of a high end steak. Perhaps my expectations, based on experiences at Gibsons and other high establishments skewed what I expected. They did take $12 off steak(should have been more). I didn’t eat soaked potatoes and only ate 1/3 of spinach. I don’t recommend and I will not be back.

Music was a little too loud and we felt like our waiter was rushing us out at the end of the evening. Although we were the only ones in the atrium area it was only 8:30p.
