Very poor service by our waiter. Asked for no beef on tasting menu and was given beef for appetizer. Waiter claimed she thought we just meant no beef for the main. Other multiple small issues by waiter throughout night
Food was good, but not spectacular.
The place and food were very nice, but the waiters should advise the customer about the size of the dishes. Food was really but small portions.
Fantastic, flavours, and presentation. Lovely service!
Food was good, portions very small, service terrific, wine very good.
Very expensive for what u get. Food was good but portions way too small even for a tasting menu. Tables so close together u can hear other people speaking. Very good food but a bit disappointed overall
Food was delicious and service was great!! Great selection of dishes. It would be great to get some ideas on what to order to make the meal flow better, but overall everything was delicious!
Service in attentive and sloppy. Good average to poor. One good course of six. Deeply disappointed.
Expensive relative to the experience. Too loud for easy conversation.
As always the food was sublime. Great service and just a fantastic experience.
Second time over for dinner and this time sat at the bar.
Tried the central Italy menu, and every single dish was perfectly presented and spot on flavor wise.
Big high light dishes were the Cod, soft shell Crab, Cicatielli pasta, tagliatelle al ragù, rabbit and Rice cake.
Service was perfect, and Luca’s drinks amazing as usual.
Have to go back for the summer menu once the summer comes.
Thanks a lot for the great experience!!
Amazing food and amazing service! I really enjoyed celebrating my bday at Il Covo
Food was amazing. Wine list is great. It is a bit expensive.
This place is worth every penny. Do the tasting menu it will not disappoint!
I had high expectations as we required a credit card to make a reservation. The food was tasty but not outstanding. I don’t think the food matches the amount you pay. Portions are very small and the flavours were good but not great. A 4 oz portion of pasta with 4-5 clams should not be $16.
We had an amazing experience, the service and the food was epic. Everyone was incredibly friendly and the restaurant is lovely. An ideal place for special occassions
Food was seriously bland. Cost was way too much for the level of quality.
It is not your typical Italian restaurant. Dishes are designed like a "tapas" style, small portion dishes, that allow you to try more items on the menu. All the dishes we ordered were wonderfully prepared.
The portion sizes are just too small to enjoy
It’s a shame because the two bites were often delicious
At minimum each dish should be twice the size
The service was very offhand. Odd, as the restaurant was not full
A very unique and exceptionally good culinary experience. Great place for friends to spend time in conversation (even though the place is rather noisy because it's very busy, yet it has a very jovial atmosphere) over great Italian wines (very extensive wine list from every wine region of Italy) and simply succulent flavours from one-of-a-kind combinations of the freshest ingredients from the sea, the garden, the pasture, as well as cheeses and pastries.
Small menu and very small plates (cicchetti), but worth every bite. The fladlesuppe (soft ricotta in a pastry cup in hen broth) is to die for, the boreto alla graisana (pan-roasted pieces of sea bass from Cyprus in a unique sauce) is masterfully simple and tasty and the coda di roapo (monkfish from New Zealand in tomato sauce and other ingredients) is just divine! The richest, and always distinct, flavours jump out of every dish and every bite!
Extremely attentive, informative and friendly service even though the place was jam-packed. Friends can't leave without ordering the "coffee of friendship" at the end of the meal, another surprising and genuinely satisfying experience.
This restaurant is not cheap but prices are reasonable, as every single dish is very unique, labour-intensive, and bursting with quality and flavour.
I guess we came too hungry and were disappointed to see such small plates. It’s nice to come for a drink and something to eat. But don’t be too hungry. The food is good but arrives in tiny little amounts..
Amazing food, great cocktails, and wine to match. The focus on all things northern italian was so good. Luca and Vincenzo were incredibe hosts all night. A must try.
Everything was fantastic. We have been there several times and it has never failed to impress us. The new spring menu is superb, always enjoy tasting new dishes that the chef and team have created. You never feel rushed.
Food to ambiance to service all spot on. We will be back soon.
Best restaurant there is! Atmosphere, food knowledge of the chef and servers. Such a friendly fun bunch! Can’t wait to go back
Amazing place with great food. The wait staff was thoughtful, funny, and provided great service!
Beautiful, delicious food and the best service I have ever experienced. A perfect evening.
Outstanding what a dining experience a must go to
Table wasn’t ready at the time of my reservation, noice level is comparable to that of a rave, plastic wrapper found in dishes, food is also subpar. Not coming back, ever.
It was an unforgettable dining experience. A must try!
Such a great experience from start to finish. We all had the 6 course tasting menu and all of us loved every bite!
Very interesting place to experience differente fine dining
Amazing food! Such attention to detail. From start to finish it was really an amazing dining experience
The food was quite good and the service adequate but not outstanding. While I much appreciate an establishment that focuses on quality rather than quantity, which is the opposite of the usual offering, the portions of some dishes were too small: the two cheese selections (Puzzone di Moena and Tajer) were really minuscule. Cheers.
Excellent service and food
Exceptional which is why I'm going back tonight! One of the top Italian wine lists, the plates are small, reminding me of Septime in Paris, Il Covo is in my opinion the top restaurant in Toronto.
Amazing as always. The dishes are always amazing along with the service and an all time favourite for ambience.
I love this place - only thing that I cannot stand is how loud it gets when the restaurant is at full capacity. You CANNOT hear your conversations, so going forward I will not make a weekend reservation, or rather not go when I am in the mood for great conversation
Food generally very good, although some of it rather salty, and all of it underportioned. Noise level was deafening; drunk scenester tables of face-tattooed somebodies screaming their way through cocktails with dinner as an afterthought. Overall, a handsome place with some delightful dishes. Be ready to spend serious $$ if you want to get enough to eat, and bring your earplugs.
Incredible culinary experience with Chef Ryan!!
Interesting Italian. Nice cosy room. Great staff.
