I flew in from out of town. The day before I called restaurants to see who had inside or outside dinning. They told me on the phone they were doing fine in. I spent $50+ on Lyft to get there from hotel I was staying at and when we got there they told us they were not doing dine in. I showed them on my phone log where I called and made the reservation on Open Table after that. It cost another $70 on Lyft to get to another restaurant to eat dine in.
The whole State of California is under Stay-Home order restrictions since December, 6th, 2020, we have following such protocols according to our city guidelines. There is not absolute way someone should have taken reservations in our restaurant. Guest's version completely inaccurate.
We did our last outdoor dining before the lockdown here. It was lovely, as always. Can't wait to get back when things open up.
Great food and great service in a lovely setting
Great food, atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff.
Great panda cotta! Lots of gluten free homemade options! Loved the salmon and lamb chops with mashed potatoes and spinach. Great wine and lovely staff💙💙
Service was excellent and all of the staff were super friendly! The food was great and the outdoor patio seating was perfect. They even let us bring our chihuahua on the patio and brought her a bowl of water.
Great Italian restaurant in Palm Springs. Trendy setting with comfortable outdoor dining on a plaza, due to COVID. Carpaccio starter was delicious. Fileto was cooked to a tee, steakhouse quality. Decent bottle of Chianti to go along with the meal and an Affogato to finish it off. Wine bottle prices 3X retail but I guess that's par for the course.
Service was excellent. Pleasant outside seating area. They are making the best of a bad situation
Having worked in the restaurant industry in the past, I was hoping for better service. Started with a salad that had Albacore tuna which was not great. The classic lasagna was very bland and tasteless. The salmon was prepared very raw and had to be sent back. There was no sense of urgency to bring out a new plate so we cancelled it. Overall not the best first impression and most likely won’t be visiting again.
Anniversary dinner was just perfect. Excellent space between tables and all servers observed safe rules. The upper patio is very pleasant!
I enjoyed it.
Bread basket: dried up bread semi warm
Beet salad: beets raw and very hard
Wine: big glass and more than usual quantity
Pizza good
Most things about I’ll CORSO we’re good. Venue, setting, service and three out of four liked their food. My lasagna was over cooked, heavily sauced and cheesed. I would go back for a second chance.
This lovely place was recommended by a friend and it didn't disappoint. Due to Covid outdoor restrictions we were seated on the patio on a chilly night, but the heaters were going and it was pleasant. The octopus appetizer was excellent, the burata tomato salad very good and the tagliatelle pasta with pancetta, peas and a creamy vodka pink sauce satisfying. They were out of tiramisu but we enjoyed the Panna Cotta as a second choice. The service was excellent. Friendly and professional. Nice wine list options. Would definitely go back.
It was fabulous!
Wonderful service. Pastas delish. Fell in love with the chocolate torte! Light as a cloud
OK....food was very good; service at the table was excellent. But, WHY did the restaurant hostess not understand the words "please move back"? We arrived and were told to use the QR Code to get the menu on our phones. While my husband was trying to get it, she leaned her face about 2 inches from his to "show him". I immediately asked her to move away and she did not! I asked again and she did not. Then I raised my voice. She then moved back, left and never returned!!! Another party got seated who came after and we were then seated. I said I did not want water. I was then asked 4 different times, as we waited to place an order for wine, if I wanted water. We were a hair away from just leaving. We are still in a pandemic folks! Please tell your hostesses, waitstaff and others to assume no one wants to get close to them. It's fine to offer help, BUT STAY THE SOCIALLY DISTANCED AMOUNT OF SPACE THAT EVERYONE ON THIS PLANET SHOULD NOW BE AWARE OF.
The food was nothing exceptional and unfortunately the service was poor. It took forever to place our drink order, then our food order and to get our check. I would not return.
People smoke outside of the restaurant near the outdoor dining area and it is not pleasant. If masks are required outdoors in the middle of a respiratory pandemic, why are people allowed to smoke?!
Everything about this place is wonderful!
Good social distancing
Visiting from Atlanta. Very safe dining experience. Great food and service.
Food hit the spot. Went for a birthday and they did a nice presentation at the end.
I know times are tough, but mediocre Italian won’t bring the business back. Great staff though.
Excellent service, fantastic food and a great place!!
Had a 5pm reservation and was shown to a table way out kind of on display to the square. Asked to be seated in a more cozy, quaint part of the outdoor patio and was told they were all reserved, hello, I had a reservation, AND, we were the only customers in the whole restaurant! Instead we were offered a small high top table.
Even though the servers were nice, it was faulty as can be. Had to ask for water refills twice and finally after appetizer and salad I finally had to ask for a cocktail, isn’t that usually the first thing one is offered?
The food was weak as well. Saltenbuco was skimpy, tough and too well done. I asked for extra anchovies and didn’t get more than a couple slivers.
With as many staff on duty and lack of any other customers and trying to survive covid, you’d think everything would have been impeccable.
Anniversary
The best part of the experience was the busser!
Lovely evening outside, socially distanced tables. Waiter/Waitresses all in masks and attentive.
Food was very good. Highly recommend the Lamb Chops !
Enjoy !
We decided to dine outdoors for our early anniversary .
Il corso has a nice setup outdoors. The music was a bit loud but that’s because it was coming from the taco place across the street ( so if you want a quiet dinner and it’s friday jr. select inside).
The place is families friendly ( yes including smaller kids ).
First time visiting, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Servers were knowledgeable and attentive. The food was spectacular. My wife and I really enjoyed their Calamri and Mussels. Would definitely revisit if ever back in Palm Springs.
Well-spaced tables...great food...comfortable outdoor patio dining in a nice atmosphere.
We were the only people dining inside the restaurant on thursday night. Felt like we reserved the entire place....octopus appetizer was one of the best I’ve ever had, and the Branzino was fantastic. A must stop when you’re downtown Palm Springs or palm desert.
A great place to celebrate special occasions with your significant other. The atmosphere was very romantic and intimate . Definitely coming back again! The food was amazing and our waiter Jesus G was so thoughtful down to every detail. Thank you for making our anniversary memorable.
Food was better than expected and will be back to try more dishes. however, service was not up to par as we had to remind our waiter several times for things and did not acknowledge that we were having a birthday dinner even though we specifically mentioned it on our reservation. not a lot of attention was given to detail. oh well...
Pretty restaurant. Nice seating. Good cocktails. Service was good. The food was a little hit and miss. Overall, we had a nice time. I’d go back. I wouldn’t order the pizza or the lasagna.
Food was delicious. We had the lasagne and the veal. Both were incredible. The service was excellent as well. Prices were comparable to other restaurants in the area. Would definitely return.
So good we went back again for dinner the following night.
Great patio, great staff and the food was very tasty.
We have added Il Corso to our regular dining list in PS.
Wonderful addition to Downtown Palm Springs. Great place
