been dining there for years..excellent service, creative excellent dishes
I’ve been quite a few times and the food and service are always fabulous. The cocktails are especially yummy.
Excellent food, wine and service.
Delicious food cooked with high quality ingredients. There was attention to detail put into the entire experience. I highly recommend in every way.
Was heading to a late show at Bowery Electric, and found this gem right around the corner. So happy we found it! The bread (with fabulous olive oil sampler), the appetizers and entrees were all perfect. Try the Ocean Trout - perfection! Also, the staff was very accommodating, as our party kept fluctuating between 7 & 11 people.
Best Italian meal we’ve had for a very long time. Great staff
The beet salad was amazing! We loved sharing our date night here!!
A+ restaurant and service. Fantastic pastas, bread, olive oil, ambiance, black rice and shrimp, tuna tartare, and on and on. One of my fave NYC restaurants now. Loved it.
Our party of 4 had an amazing experience from the moment we entered until we left. The staff member serving us was attentive and knowledgeable. There was little wait for our meal courses. All the food was excellent. The crispy artichokes are great. The beet gnocci was unusual and delicious. The rainbow trout and branzino were both wonderful dishes. We even saved room for desserts, which were all extremely good.
We look forward to returning for another dinner
Superb food and wine menu. Knowledge staff makes great recommendations.
After passing two rooms of empty tables we were sat way in the back by the kitchen where the wait staff ate food that was 36 code word for wasn’t being served? We ordered two pastas, a salad and a starter, two glasses of wine each. Our salad came with ingredients that wasn’t described on the menu. My pasta was was awful I didn’t finish it, the waitress didn’t ask why, I assumed she knew.
Our waitress kept forgetting about us, she said she had a bad day.
The restaurant was loud and we were seated at a bar without being asked whether it suits. Good food and wine.
The restaurant was very noisy, a busy Saturday night. Might be better to go on a off night. The food was good but pasta arrived barely warm and the porcette was luke warm and tough. Not what we expected.
A poor overall experience. Food was mediocre, not close to the experience of the original restaurant a block away. FYI, they charge $3 for table bread which seems odd given the average dish costs $35. Too many better options in the neighborhood.
Staff went above and beyond. Food was excellent and the atmosphere was intimate and fun. Felt like a lot of care went into every detail.
Food was good but service was very poor and manager and waiter were extremely unprofessional .
Will never go back!
Our server was outstanding and the food was equally wonderful. Highly recommended.
Food was great. Our only complaint was that we had a reservation and they tried to sit us at the bar. Also acted as if we were crazy for not wanting to sit at the bar for a $100+ per head dinner that we made a reservation for. Other than that it was awesome. Great wine selection as well.
The food service and ambience were all of the highest quality. We had been wanting to go for a while and everything was even better than expected. We ended up in easy, brief conversations with neighboring tables and had a delicious and fun evening.
The seating was incredibly uncomfortable which is the only reason I will likely not be back.
Special food and service
Unique hip spot
Go and enjoy
This is my FAVORITE restaurant in New York.
The food is excellent and inventive, the servers are lovely,
and the atmosphere is cozy and beautifully lit with low lighting.
It was perfect
Superb wine list paired with true comfort foods; the bread alone is worth a visit. Highly recommend
Fantastic time !
Service and food were excellent. The ambiance was charming. We were seated by the charcuterie counter and everything looked amazing. The appetizers and dinners were excellent. Most surprising was the pistachio cake with candied olives. So good!
Always an excellent choice in New York. Great homemade pastas, bread, and salumi. Great flavor profiles.
I really like this place on weekend afternoons. Service is always a bit strange and slow but that is the Italian way. They never disappoint with the food. Wine is always better then average. Great spot
I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant. It is a smaller space so we chose to eat at the bar. The pasta was cooked perfect and had a nice flavor. If you enjoy Italian you will like this place.
Good fresh creative dishes!
Food always outstanding. Restaurant Week dinner menu was delicious and good value.
Wanted it to be spectacular, but was slightly underwhelmed. I think I may have had too high of expectations.
Our meal was fabulous!! The service was magnificent!
Loved it all! Appetizers were wild shrimp and Broccolini with charred leeks- yum! We both had the Hake for entrees- best ever- served with roasted carrots . And the dessert- I felt like it was one of the best I ever had! Highly recommend!
Great food and lovely staff as always. One of my favorites downtown
We found a hair inside of desert and waiter didn’t say sorry and didn’t get me discount or something
Noisy, busy, impersonal place. Food is ok but nothing to write home about, compared to other great Italian restaurants in NYC. Zero ambience, probably better suited for large, loud groups. Food arrived semi-cold at the table. Not acceptable when an establishment trades on a certain reputation. Not worth it.
The food was good, but we had to wait 25 minutes for a table (even with our reservation). Wouldn't recommend if you are pressed on time
Great space - easy to sit and talk for hours - no rush. Interesting well curated wine list and by the glass. Easy to order lots of food to share. Olive oil tasting is fun. Will go back.
Excellent food and service. We had a wonderful moment with friends and family.
