Outstanding service and a wonderful meal. The server offered an excellent recommendation for the wine to accompany the dinner. Certainly worthy of a return visit.
We always love dinner downtown and this was no exception! Our table was ready timely, service was prompt and not assuming and the food was excellent. The location cannot be beat and the people watching is superb! Can’t wait to return.
If you are looking for over priced, less then average food with a death metal style ambience and constantly getting badgered by the homeless, then this is the spot for you.
Let me explain. I picked the restaurant because it looked like a wonderful spot to take my wife for a nice romantic dinner while in Seattle. Couldn’t have been more disappointed. The service was “good-ish” and the food was mediocre at best. The weather was nice, so we chose outside seating which turned out to be a HUGE mistake. We were seated at a table next to some of the kitchen staff. They were loud and every other word was the “f” word...seriously, every other word. Shortly after we were seated, a street performer set up down the street a bit (100ft away), cranked up his amp and started playing death metal style music. It was so loud that I couldn’t hear my wife talking to me from across the table. It did however drowned out the loud swearing conversation from the kitchen staff table, which was good I guess 🤷♂️. My biggest issue was that management/staff allowed a never ending conveyor belt of homeless people to harass our table (and other people’s tables) to beg for money, cigarettes or whatever we were willing to give up.
All-in-all it was a bad experience.
What a wonderful restaurant! Romantic ambience, amazing food and service. It's our favorite place for a special evening.
I really enjoy this restaurant. I got the lasagna which is always huge and excellent. Great flavor. My companion got a great steak. Cooked perfectly. I love their atmosphere. It’s a great place.
Very good food! A little pricey but you're also paying for the experience. Service was great, my only petty criticism was the country music playing in the background. I feel like it'd be nicer to play jazz or something more appropriate for an Italian restaurant. Highly recommend.
Our first night out since the partial opening and it was so wonderful to spend it at Il Bistro. As always, the service and food was excellent. The menu was limited, which was to be expected. Every precaution towards health and safety was very obviously there, and incredibly reassuring. This is our favorite spot in the city and, as always, it did not disappoint!
Really enjoyed it. Excellent, attentive service. Delicious food. Will be back!
Our first time at Il Bistro, and what an experience! Daniel our server helped us with his favorite choices of the current menu, the whole staff was lovely, lively and fun!
A must try and for us definitely we’ll become new regulars.
Our server , Jackie was wonderful, very friendly and excellent server. Food was delicious! Love this place 🍷🍹🍽
Everything was great until we received burnt and luke warm lasagna. Disappointing after waiting 30 minutes for it.
The staff was great and the 6 different meals we ordered were each incredibly good. Fantastic experience in an iconic Seattle restaurant. We’ll be back!
A little hidden away from the main part of Pike's Place but it is a gem worth finding! Food and Ambiance was great! Service was very nice. We really enjoyed ourselves.
It had been many years since I’d been to Il Bistro since I no longer live in Seattle but I found it to still be a delightfully cozy and delicious spot for a special meal. I had the steelhead trout special, simple preparation that let the fish flavor dominate. Served with a strongly flavored garlic & oil pasta that I loved. For dessert, Italian cheesecake that was creamy and rich, drizzled in lemon. My two wishes would be for better bread (warming it at a minimum would help) and to add decaf espresso so one could enjoy with dessert and still plan to sleep that night.
Lovely restaurant with attentive service, wonderful food and wine and very courteous in accommodating our schedule in order to make a concert. Will dine here again.
Great food and equally great service!
They were out of half their menu although due to busy previous two days but guests should have been notified about this before they were seated. Service and everything else was top though
Quiet, cozy, and warm - the perfect spot for a wet winter evening in Seattle. Our food was delicious, the scallops were outstanding.
Incredible food, excellent and friendly staff (special thanks to the sommelier), and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
There for Valentine's day. Prix fixe courses were all imaginative and perfectly prepared. Live band as well.
The food was extremely overpriced, very underwhelming, late to arrive, and disappointing overall
Several courses were served cold, most notably the soup, pasta, and steak. Drink order was served incorrectly. Steak was mostly gristle
I returned here as it was the place where my wife and I had our first date...our marriage has flourished. Unfortunately,I can't say the same for what I thought would be a pleasant V Day experience
Il Bistro was as fun and enjoyable was ever. Took four guests from out of town on Saturday, I had mentioned in the reservation that it was a special dinner, and they gave us a lovely table. The atmosphere of Il Bistro is wonderfully old school swank, perfect lighting, and the staff is very personable and very well trained. The cocktail program is strong, everyone found a house cocktail worth trying, and the food was good, the appetizers being the strongest as we shared sautéed calamari, very tasty meatballs, bruschetta, and a terrific carpaccio. The bar also has a lovely selection of amaro's, and again, the staff really knows how to make sure you have a great evening. It is a genuinely nice experience in the heart of Pike's Place Market, and just steps to the Zig Zag for a nightcap afterward.
They were a little behind on getting our entrees to us. But they made up for it with the food be glorious.
Up there with top meal ever! Best calamari app, delicious salad and entrees were superb! Waitstaff was kind, professional, knowledgeable and capped off the amazing meal. Have been here a few times in past 25 years but they have really stepped it up!
Food and service was great!
Happy Hour was well worth the value. Great atmosphere. Perfect location.
the food, atmosphere, and service was exemplary. this is our favorite happy hour place as well. we bring friends and family to il bistro at every opportunity. THE BEST!!
The atmosphere was charming. We had an excellent appetizer, which was followed by wonderful scallops and the other main dish was fine. Our complaint was that the food was not hot when it came out. Service was very good most of the time and the helpers were very attentive. The reason for a "good" rating was that there were a few times when our waitress was a little slower than we would have liked. Overall an enjoyable evening.
Food was exceptional. The only thing better than the food was their service. Perfect spot for a date night!
The menu was limited when it came to vegetarian options, but the server and chef worked with us to meet the diverse dietary needs of a party of seven.
Nice dining experience in Seattle. Great wine and service. Recommended for anyone visiting the water front.
Best dinner we had in Seattle!
The ambience was comfortably wonderful. The whole evening had a warmness about it.We were greeted upon entering with a welcoming smile. We were gracefully seated. The waitress was gracious and knowledgeable. Her overall service to us was excellent. We never felt hurried, nor did we ever feel neglected. She always smiled.
New Years Eve
Celebrating a visit with a close friend
We highly recommend Il Bistro. Excellent service and good. We eat there every chance we get.
Food was fine but the noise level was terrible and there seemed to be only one waitress for the entire restaurant and an overly energetic Asian busgirl!
Consistently great food and service! We usually come for their Happy Hour but took family for dinner and it didn’t disappoint!
