Our 10th Anniversary dinner couldn't have been better.
Lovely celebration dinner. Food great! Too loud for a group of 8 to hear someone across the table, though.
The romance package is a definite win if you want a memorable evening.
Very good, reliable food. Enjoyed everything I ate. The server did have an air of "our food is so awesome" that was a bit over the top as it was very good, bun not amazing. Probably my favorite Italian restaurant in Seattle, or at least in the top 3.
The food is always very good and the service just right. One of our favorite restaurants in downtown Seattle.
Add the symphony tickets for the perfect evening. Park at Benaroy Hall and walk to Il Bistro. Do yourself a favor and add the romanic package. Wonderful!
The service here was great. Although the place was busy, we never felt neglected or rushed through our meal, and had a nice little conversation with our server. But the noise was reverberating everywhere! We were seated in the back room of the restaurant (opposite the bar), and it seemed that all the noise from the main dining hall was bouncing around in there as if it were a giant speaker. We could barely hear each other. I didn't even realize there was music playing until we were halfway through our (amazing) dessert.
The atmosphere was quaint and romantic, we celebrated our 2 year anniversary and the staff was wonderful. We even got a surprise candle in our dessert! I would definitely recommend the restaurant for any special occasion or a late night dinner with your sweetheart or close friends. The evening was perfect, we will definitely be returning...
Food was excellent and our waiter, Paris, was so helpful and delightful. We will come back just for him. But the food is very good too.
Took my fiance out for a quiet romantic date and we were blown away by how perfect this restaurant was for our occasion. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was peaceful, relaxing, and really put us at ease.
Heard about this from a friend. Great food, wine and service. The grotto was too dark to read the menu, but great for a romantic dinner. Just what my wife and I were looking for. Wait staff were outstanding! Highly recommend Il Bistro.
Il Bistro is an outstanding, classic Italian restaurant. The food is superb. The bar & wine list are excellent. Staff are helpful and appropriately a trifle superior. The ambiance is quite romantic. The only issue with Il Bistro is the hard surfaces which means the noise level is high, so conversation is a little challenging.
We enjoyed taking advantage of Seattle Restaurant Week at Il Bistro. What a fantastic value! We love this place. Excellent food, excellent service, excellent wine, and just an awesome atmosphere. One of our favorite places in Seattle.
You should ask your customers if they want to be seated at a "normal"table, or the one we were seated at. It was in a very tight corner and required pillows to sit on. Our friends are 90 and 85, and this was not a comFortable seating for them.
One of my favorite Seattle restaurants.
Wonderful food in an old world setting. You would likely never find Il Bistro by wandering by it even though it is smack in the middle of Pike Place Market. It is a tucked away gem that features wonderful food, world class service and an extensive wine list.
I was really impressed by the attentive (but not overly so) service, from the moment we walked in the door.
We spent our 5th year anniversary at Bistro II. THis was our first visit. We were seated promptly, coat taken, water and bread served immediatly. Staff was great, attentive but not over bearing. Food was delicious and worth the money.
Only complaints... They didnt have the wine i wanted on their list, and my wife really wanted the ravioli, they were sold out already.... (main reason I picked this place).
Overall, we will be back again to try the Ravioli.
I was not impressed with my meal. The lamb chops I ordered were prepared nicely but the purple potatoes were dry out.The vegetables were plain, carrots and Zuchini, and uninteresting. Very dissappointing.
We went on a Saturday night. The restaurant was busy but not overcrowded while we were there, approximately 7:30 to 9:00 pm. Service was attentive, friendly and efficient. The food was excellent but short of outstanding. Rigatoni Bolognese had a fresh-tasting sauce but was slightly overcooked. Mussels were well prepared and fresh. The wine list had several reasonably priced Italian and American choices. Overall, an enjoyable meal.
My boyfriend and I were visitors from Calgary, AB Canada and we could not have asked for a more perfect & romantic dining experience! Delicious food, great service, would HIGHLY recommend anyone visiting if they are going with their special someone to order the romance package! The rose petals on the table and the glass of champagne was amazing and for an extra $15 totally worth it! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Would rate this restaurant 10 out of 10 for sure!
I really appreciated the professional service. It was attentive, yet understated. We were never rushed and the wait staff were very experienced.
I have been to Il Bistro probably more than 50 times for happy hour and it has always been fantastic. Also,my husband and I had an absolutely wonderful meal of tenderloin steak, mushroom soup, and gnocchi on Valentine's Day. Last Friday evening I took two very close friends from out of town to dinner at Il Bistro. I was really embarrassed as the flank steak was so tough we could not finish our meal. This makes me wonder if the restaurant side is always this unpredictable, I know I will not be in any hurry to pay for a dinner that I cannot enjoy.
Our server was excellent but the food was boring and lacking flavor. It was a romantic restaurant but another couple was sat right next to us even though the rest of the restaurant was mostly empty.
Had reservations for 2 but at the last minute added two more. The restaurant was able to accommodate. Food was very good, service was also good. Good solid place, enjoyed the experience very much.
Two words: Tourist Trap! And if they make you sit at the four top by the door, walk out - which is what we should have done. PS the entrees were not tasty.
We celebrated my husband's birthday at Il Bistro. He loved the meal and the ambiance of this restaurant. It was our first visit to Il Bistro. We look forward to future visits here.
Lovely place for a quiet romantic dinner - great food - quiet.
We had a wonderful time, the food was awesome and Parris attended to our every need. We are going back again and again.
As usual, Il Bistro was incredible. Took three people for early dinner, and all stated it was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences they've ever had.
Had a nice, romantic dinner with my wife and another couple. Everyone really enjoyed their food, and the service was very good. The butternut squash ravioli was particularly good. My only complaint is that the wine list is a bit limited, and a bit pricey. I would like to see more midlevel Italian reds on the list. And limoncello apertif!
Always one of our favorite go- to places when we dine downtown. Food, wine , service are consistently excellent. We prefer the bar area-- more cozy and romantic. A great place for a cocktail and appetizer.
Me and my girl went here for out year anniversary and it was amazing and they have a "romantic package" to make it even more special!
One thing to say.... I wish we had found Il Bisto many years before! My new favorite Seattle restaurant. Fantastic food ! Great staff ! I can't wait to go back.
We arrived late into Seattle and I wanted to find something at Pike's Market so I looked online and found that Il Bistro was taking reservations until 9:30. We rushed down there. The food and service was very good, well presented and the service couldn't have been better. And after a long trip, good service mattered. The ambiance was very very nice also. The restaurant is below street level so it has the feeling of an old speakeasy but the decor is the wonderful rich woods and brass. Warm and inviting.
It was such an amazing dinner. It was a little expensive, but very delicious. I highly recommend Il Bistro.
My girlfriend and I were down for a shopping trip, without the husbands. il Bistro had been recommended by a friend. From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were treated with the utmost of respect and graciousness. The ambience was welcoming, with low ceilings, warm candle light, & white tablecloths on tables that were well spaced. Our waiter was wonderful to us, helping with food & wine selection. He said he wouldn't let us " order too little or too much". We shared the Caesar salad, which was crisp, cold, & perfectly dressed. My friend had the penne pasta &,I had the lasagne. Hint: It is made the day before.Wine was perfectly matched & the piéce de résistance was the tiramisu. We & spouses are all internationally-travelled foodies
It was busy that night but food was wonderful, service was good but not at 100% with capacity. Couple of minor mistakes but not enough to harp on. Food, wine and desert were all wonderful!
We had an amazing dinner at Il Bistro. The service and attention to detail were impeccable and the atmosphere was perfect for a special evening out. The staff made us feel like we were the most important guests there. The food, from salad to dessert, was presented beautifully and was perfectly prepared.
Thoughtful service, very good food and great location
