A wonderful spot. Our first visit. We were on a visit to Seattle and Il Bistro was recommended by friends who live in Seattle. Food was fabulous. We both had the Chicken which was perfectly cooked (they brine it) and beautifully presented. Excellent wine list with good pricing and fine recommendations from the Steward. Romantic, great service, extraordinary food. Perfect.
Solid Italian place with great food. Really enjoyed our appetizer carpaccio, and our entrees linguine del mare and ragu pasta.
Very nice environment, will come again! The servers were very nice, food was better than I expected. Enough portion to be full!
Went to Il Bistro during Seattle Restaurant week. Been there many times before. Setting is very nice, wait staff excellent. This time I was disappointed in my food. I started with Prosciutto and mozzarella, while the former was very good the mozzarella cheese was not at all of a decent quality. For a main course I had a pork chop with a red pepper garnish.....while the chop was a large size the meat inside was raw - I should have sent it back. I finished with an excellent piece of cheese cake.
Awesome meal!!
Il Bistro has been the favorite restaurant of me and my husband for many years. Unfortunately, I can no longer say it is our favorite restaurant... It actually became one of the most disappointing experiences that I had with dining. While the manager said he has been working there for a while, the greeting was very impersonal. There was one manager who remembered our favorite dish and our names.
My concern is not with the greeting. I guess the chief chef has been changed. I have tasted almost everything in the menu and I ordered my favorite dish this time. The taste was so different, very mediocre. Pasta was undercooked and you could just taste the flour.... I finished the food despite my dislike because I wanted to wait for my favorite dessert, Flourless Chocolate Torte. Guess what?! That is removed from the menu... What a disappointing experience. I do not know what it would take to actually return to this restaurant. Since I loved this restaurant so much, it is just unfortunate.
It was wonderful and just what we needed for a date night! Great food , portions, and atmosphere.
Great service. Great food!
We ordered the "romance package" when we made a reservation, which included rose petals on the table and two glasses of prosecco. It also seemed to include the best table in the house! We were sat in a romantic corner of the restaurant and received excellent service. I definitely recommend this extra package if you're celebrating something romantic. Unfortunately, the food was less impressive. The calamari antipasto was extremely vinegary, so we asked to have it replaced with Nona's meatballs, which were amazing. The risotto special and Caesar salad were just okay. Overall a very fun evening, more for the cozy, intimate atmosphere than the food.
Amazing service, food was delicious. Great experience!
Terrible, too spicy food w/o spices -----------------------------------------------
The service is amazing, food delicious and atmosphere is romantic with out being cheesy. It’s a classic choice.
Took my son and his room mates for a nice dinner. Choices made were the Carpaccio, Sautéed Mushrooms (appetizers) Seafood Linguini, Salmon, Cioppino and the Scallop special. All were fair in taste and the service was very attentive. He gave nice recommendations and choices. Location was somewhat hard to find (was in an alley).
We had a great date night on Thursday, as a belated Valentine's Day, and so I sprung for the 'Romance Package'. Two glasses of champagne plus the rose petals for only $18...she loved it!
Food was extremely salty. Our server brought a replacement and it was not much better. Have had great meals here prior...very disappointed.
My daughter was in town from Myanmar and we chose Il Bistro as our dinner spot before going to the symphony. We all had delicious meals with my wife having the Chicken Cacciatore, I had the special Tuna Puntanesca, and my daughter had the Risotto. The only complaint I had was that the Puntanesca was not spicy enough but everything else was great.
Great food great service
I wouldn’t recommend this place. The place was loud. Poor seating. Had to yell across the small table to my wife.
Great food and wonderful waite staff ...would recommend to anyone staying in or near Seattle
Very limited vegetarian options. They brought our bread to the table after our first appetizer was served. Service was functional, or as my 13 year old daughter said, ‘the server seemed passive aggressive!’
We could not here the other side of our five person table talk.
The bruschetta and gnocchi that we ordered was just ok. The drinks and the salad were good. Desserts were good to. Don’t see myself going back anytime soon.
Service was slow and poor. Food was nothing special. Disappointing. Will not go again.
Had a great dinner at Il Bistro. The gnocchi was the best I have ever had. Our waitress was great; attentive and professional. Highly recommend this spot.
Recommend by a friend. My husband and I agree it’s our new favorite restaurant. High end services without the high cost. Excellent food. We can’t wait to go back.
I have been to Il Bistro 3-4 times now and have always been satisfied. I only have positive comments... the location is convenient, the food, service, and ambiance are consistently great! My favorites are the carpaccio and lasagna, and I rave about the risotto special each time I go (they change it up but it has always been SO yummy!). Definitely a must for me when I am in town.
Group of 6 for casual dinner
Everything was mediocre.
We’ve enjoyed the Bistro many times in the past but this experience seemed tired.
I don’t think we’ll return soon.
My boyfriend and I have been to Il Bistro on more than one occasion whether it’s HH or celebrating Valentine’s before the ballet as we did this past Saturday. The food is exceptional and the staff more than welcoming. One of our favorite things about dining out is going back to a place we’ve been and having one or more of the staff remembering us.
I always tell people about our experiences there and would highly recommend Il Bistro for any occasion.
As it was super bowl evening it was pretty empty. We have been here many times and keep coming back so we must like it. My back was hurting and my server found a pillow for me!
Grate food. Great atmosphere. Great evening.
Ahemd was gracious and pleasant while covering for someone, so they could celebrate their birthday.
Classic setting for great Italian cuisine. I had an amazingly fresh antipasto and cioppino. Others dining with me had sauteed calamari which was excellent and lasagna that was tasty, but not served warmed enough. Our server provided exceptional service, attentive and efficient.
Food was excellent, as was the ambiance. The service was also very good and prices were reasonable. Hard to ask for more.
Always a great meal and good service at Il Bistro.
From the guy who answered the phone to give us directions, to the fantastic waitress who cared for us all evening - Il Bistro is a fabulous experience from beginning to end. This was our first (and not last) visit. We brought our friend to celebrate her birthday and they made us ALL feel special. OH! And the FOOD!!! SO DELICIOUS!!!! Thanks, Il Bistro!
Amazing food! Way better than I expected and happy to report was nothing close to a tourist trap. The service was impeccable and it was super romantic. Perfect date night!
A Seattle classic. Great food, only downside is the noise level is high.
The ambiance of the restaurant was great. Service was good, but had to wait a decent amount of time for our entrees. Appetizers were out soon after ordering. The calamari was different, yet delicious. The entrees were ok, not horrible but definitely not authentic.
We visited before a concert. Limited food options if dairy sensitive- fortunately the food was good. Wine by the glass menu needs improvement. It was very dark - great for ambiance but, more than one table used a flashlight to see.
Tucked in the PP Market, Il Bistro exudes charm and coziness. Great cocktails and a perfect combination of options for salads (don’t miss the chopped salad!), pasta and mains. Quintessential Italian preparations. NY Cheesecake shouldn’t be missed.
We truly love Il Bistro and have made it our annual New Year location each January to have a special date and meal.
Just a solid place. Very attentive and friendly staff
