Awesome waiter! Restaurant was in a neat area with a great atmosphere.
Life time Seattleite and first time at Il Bistro. Our party of four loved the food, our waiter was prompt and gave excellent recommendations. We all ordered something different and all gave five stars. We will definitely come back!
Very happy with the service and food. Great chicken parm!
Just a bit noisy.
This used to be our favorite restaurant when we lived in Seattle. Had not been there for probably 23 years since moving to Bellevue. Very fun to go with our college age kids after an afternoon at the seattle art museum. Great good, location, service, atmosphere.
Excellent food; service was a little slow like most places these days, but they were attentive and communicative, so we didn't mind. Lovely restaurant.
Great food! Awesome Italian wine selection! Perfect night out!
Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable both for food and places to go out. I tried a new drink that he suggested and I really liked it. It was our first time in the city so we asked what he thought we should do. He gave plenty of suggestions and really honed in what we like to do.
We loved the ambiance, we had a wonderful server, and we were especially appreciative that they don't use any plastic straws. Our meal was great! The best was the wild boar pappardelle pasta - it was a special so I don't know if you'll get it, but their pasta is fresh, tastes homemade and their sauce is amazing. Salads were great and the gelato was well worth it!
Loved our server and service was top notch.
Service was extremely slow..food was uneven and not very good relative to the price...saffron risotto barely tasted of saffron...chicken ravioli was bitter...
Lasagna was just ok....wrong bill was bought to the table...overall a poor experience
We shared the lamb burger and the romaine salad with salami and cherry tomatoes. The bread they serve is divine. It was a very nice dinner, we sat in the bar at a table. The staff was very nice.
The environment was very nice but the food didn’t live up to my expectations. The greatest disappointment was that the waiter never asked how I liked my meal. I would have been honest, but I let it go since he didn’t ask. I had the linguine clams, thinking it’d be great in Seattle, but the clams were gritty and the pasta was salty. My fiancé enjoyed his lasagna, however, and I enjoyed my wine.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had! Highly recommend the calamari appetizer.
Best service we’ve had since March 2020! Thank you!
The shrimp risotto was a big pile of soggy rice with four medium, tasteless shrimp on top. Nothing else in it. Totally inedible, for $27. Outdoor dining area needs a major renovation. I can’t believe this place gets good reviews. Service was very good though.
The food was amazing! Service phenomenal…however we waited over 2 hours for our main course. Definitely think this is related to Covid and difficulty getting staff. Bottom line - not a 5 star experience. However i believe not during a pandemic wind down it would be!
We had a great experience for my wife's birthday. Ambiance, great food and presentation, and service. Watch out for the sneaky 3% service charge they tack on the end and explain it with a flimsy excuse. It cheapened the whole experience. I hope the owners read this because I'm sure others feel the same.
We failed to discuss dinner plans in advance upon our arrival. After sightseeing and showering there were very limited options available. We used open table to book. The overall ambience of the basement was nice, lighting dark. It was really loud. The place was warm and pizza was not available due to the heat. We ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir that really warm. Service was attentive but the kitchen was a bit backed up. My husband ordered the rigatoni bolognese which was good. I ordered the halibut that was just over. The truffle butter was good, the vegetable was on point but the gnocchi was over and crunchy. It was still pretty hot out so we shared the gelato. Overall an eh experience. I wanted to like it— it seemed to have potential to be really good. We have already researched and booked our meal out for Monday. Live and learn.
Had a great dinner with 4 other friends here. Pros: all drinks were amazing, server was very attentive, atmosphere was classic Italian energetic and lively, and everything was timed out well for our party. Con: my only con was the food was really salty. We all tried each other’s dishes and all of them were quite salty. Some people like this, we were very swollen the next day. But the food was really fresh and looked and tasted mostly amazing, just too much salt.
Delightful classic Italian food, in a nice setting with excellent service
Il Bistro is a cozy, intimate space with an inviting bar as well as tables, just at the edge of the Pike Place Market. Service was attentive while not intrusive, and our meals were first rate, with the tiramisu just a tad shy of 5 stars.
We celebrated our daughters 18th birthday last night with 9 of us. It was amazing and the girls loved it!
We were seated at 8:45. Didn’t get our entrees until past 10pm when the kitchen closed. It was a pretty quiet Sunday evening so not sure what took so long. The food was ok - halibut was fine they were out of a lot of things and the smoked ravioli had really heavy, creamy sauce that didn’t go well.
Waitstaff was super nice and knowledgeable and ambiance was pretty and romantic. This is right in Pike Place Market so you definitely pay a tourist tax even though the food is just ok. Overall I wouldn’t go again for the price.
Great restaurant, a bit understaffed which resulted in slow service, but other than that it was great.
Great food and excellent attentive service.
Always love are meals out at this beautiful restaurant. The food is always good and the service is so friendly and attentive.
Such a fantastic gem of a restaurant. My husband reservations and this was THE best part of our dining experience while here in Seattle. It was a little chilly when we were there and were fortunate to get an intimate booth for the two of us inside, but the outdoor seating looked fun. The menu offered many delicious choices. The serving staff was pleasant, courteous and extremely attentive. Our server, Juan, was stellar and knowledgeable and we were impressed when he revealed it was his first night on the job. You would have thought he worked there for years. Make your reservation and come eat here. You will not be disappointed.
Best place for amazing food and best wine selections! Love this place!!
Excelente servicio y la comida genial... En el mismo centro del Public market
Great all around. Great atmosphere, great food - Bolognese and Lasagna were both great, starters (Arancini and salads) were very good as well. Home-made gelato for dessert was also awesome.
Service was very good, simply a great place.
The sommelier must have had to fill in to help take meal orders and he went out of his way to be rude to our table; quite unnecessarily so too. In addition to no not asking our beverage orders for over half an hour, he came over to our table to express how we "made it hard on him" by going to the bar to order drinks ourselves once he later saw we had drinks. I will say everyone else at the restaurant was wonderful with their politeness (as they usually are), but something was certainly wrong with the sommelier on this night. Whether it was just us being there or he was having a bad day, he made sure to make us feel most unwelcome.
Would still recommend and come back to Il Bistro, but just hope to avoid this person.
Excellent food and service. Outdoor dining was nice but not great ambiance and it was a tad noisy but felt pretty safe
Amazing service & food was DELICIOUS!!! Perfect date night spot! Was an amazing experience and I will definitely be going again!!
Attentive waitress, staff was great. Food not so much. My risotto and shrimp were cold and risotto wasn’t very cheesy, it was soupy, chicken Parmesan was good but small serving for the price. Chicken ravioli was ok, sauce tasted like it was on its way out. Cute restaurant, very Italian. Great for appetizers and cocktails. That was all we liked.
The food was good overall. The halibut itself was great, but the accompaniments (broccoli, cauliflower and gnocchi) were not. The lamb belly, calamari and charcuterie board were great. The ambience was excellent, the service from our specific waitress was mediocre and not as welcoming/personable as one would hope for.
In town for business. Great find. Lovely atmosphere and great food!
We had a wonderful time, drinks were crafted perfectly. My boyfriend and I, were very impressed with the high level of service. Our meal was simply 5 Stars! I highly recommend saving room for dessert, the Tiramisu is heavenly.
Wife and I dined at IL Bistro for our Anniversary. Great little restaurant located at Pine Place Market in Seattle. It was very quaint.
Our server Jackie was wonderful with our service and recommendations for food and drink. We definitely will be back again for dinner.
Wonderful service, excellent food, very nice ambiance.
