   We came here for our one year anniversary and the service was very welcoming. We even got a cute corner booth as a congratulations. There was live music, it was a little louder than we expected so it was difficult to talk to each other. The food was excellent, but there weren’t any vegetarian options for an entree. Luckily, they were willing to take out the meat in the gnocchi, which was delicious and my partner had a seafood dish which he enjoyed as well.

   I came here to celebrate my birthday and the staff made me feel so special. Very friendly service, course timing was great, and so was the food. The only complaint (if you can call it that) is the food portions. They were so large I had enough for another meal the next day. Beautiful interior and great atmosphere. I look forward to eating here again.

   Great place for nostalgic Italian dining experience. Everyone was friendly and the food was delicious. They seemed short-staffed and it took longer to get waitstaff attention than we thought appropriate. Get that fixed and it’s 5 star.

   The server was friendly and attentive. The food was wonderful. We enjoyed focaccia bread, burrito salad, clam fettuccine and garganelli al pomodoro. All of it was excellent. We also had red wine by the glass which was a .decent wine for the price.

   Feels like you’re at an Italian restaurant in New York. The chicken Parmesan looked great but the gnocchi was far too rich and the bacon added too much flavor to it. Great aperol spritz. The restaurant is a hit depending on what you order.

    The food, ambiance and service were delightful. We ordered from the Happy Hour menu and the portions were ample and delicious, giving great value! I would definitely go back again to soak up the great atmosphere and top notch cuisine.

    Overall we had a nice time, but the service was very slow. We sat with our menus for about 30 minutes, no cocktails were offered prior to dinner. Our appetizers came at the same time as our salads, so the staging was way off and honestly I wasn't a big fan of the calamari, it was a little over cooked and didn't taste as fresh as I would expect. The salads, while very tasty, were way too big. Each salad was enough for 2-3 people, and all but one person at the table ordered one, so we sat eating our salad for ages because there was so much. The entree's were pretty good, but I would say that the number of clams I had in my Linguini alle vongole were less than I would expect - about 5-6 clams in the shell for the whole dish. My partner said the bottom layer of his lasagna was pretty soggy, so he wasn't' thrilled. The desserts were very nice, but the offer of coffee would have been nice. I ordered a grappa, the server said he wasn't sure if they still had it, but never got back to me, just brought the others after dinner drinks and appeared to have forgotten mine. I had to flag him down, and order something else, which then arrived after I had finished my dessert. All in all, it was just okay. Over the years I have had some really good meals at Il Bistro, this time they just didn't stack up to past meals. I would recommend the restaurant with some hesitation.

    Another amazing meal during our visit to Seattle! The Garganelli al Pomodoro was delicious. We had a reservation for five o’clock, right when the doors opened, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. From the host to our server, everyone was attentive and accommodating. Our water glasses were constantly refreshed by someone else who was coming around — big shoutout to him as well, as we had been walking around all day leaving us pretty parched, and kept guzzling down glass after glass, and thankfully he was never far away! The atmosphere was relaxing and had us feeling mellow as we dined. I recommend this restaurant highly.

    I wouldn’t recommend; there are very likely other options with much better food. I was very disappointed in the short ribs. They tasted re-heated. The presentation was nice, though. The service was good.

    The food and service is excellent. We went for my husband's birthday and have not been to this restaurant in many years. We wanted to go outside our normal comfort zone of restaurants. We were extremely pleased with the food and service. I'm very picky about both of these items which is why we stick with restaurants we know provide great food and service.     I specifically want to go to Il Bistro because of Jazz night on Thursday nights. My boyfriend and I sat in the bar area and it was perfect. It is pretty dark in there, but that adds to the romantic ambience. Along with our cab, we ordered the prosciutto caprese, lasagna, and sausage and peperonata (with added pepperoni)...for dessert, we had the cheesecake and the tiramisu. My bf tends to be very picky, but he totally approved of everything we ate last night. The Jazz music was the cherry on top! It did get a little loud during the live music, but that was fine.     I appreciate the fact that if you call ahead they are happy to accomodate special diets, etc. The kitchen staff prepared me a delicious vegan primavera pasta dish. We had a lovely evening...our server was expecially lovely.

    It was a bit tricky to locate as all maps had us going in different directions. Finally called. They might be wise to add a few comments for directions on their site. Very dark inside. Almost too dark. Had to use light on camera to read menu and see the food. Not too many there when we arrived and yet we were tucked up next to another table. Service very welcoming and efficient. Food was ok- I was hoping for a bit better. Calamari rubbery. Arugula salad over-dressed and lasagna was one huge piece with burnt edges. Nothing else served with it. I will likely not return.
