I was planning on going to this restaurant for my birthday in March, but then Covid-19 happened. I have been wanting to try this place for a while. Was there this past Saturday and it did not disappoint. Everything was perfect and they really did a good job with making the place feel safe. Sanitary measures were followed. We had front row seats to watch the chef cook and listen to him sing. Food and service were excellent! We will definitely go back!

The service was quite efficient. The staff were courteous and friendly. The desert were very good although the chocolate mousse was not the freshest I have had. The raviolis, the risotto and the salmon tartare were very tasty. The big disappointment were the pizzas. The dough was probably from a frozen pizza box and the toppings were not exactly the best quality. Nice selection of reasonably priced wine.

Unfortunately "bring your own wine" is not an option for now it seems
Due to the current situation and the decrease in the number of seats in the restaurant, we have decided to change our liquor license, in order to continue to serve you. We are no longer a bring your wine, but we now offer a nice cocktail menu as well as a selection of private imported wine at a low price. Hope to see you again, and again !
J'ai pris le menu 5 services. Le plat de macreuse de bœuf était excellent. Repas copieux et tous les plats étaient savoureux. Sidus 2014, excellent vin de la Toscane.

Tout est merveilleux dans ce restaurant: le décor, les plantes, les plats savoureux et présentés de façon impeccable, l’excellent service et Davide, le chef italien, qui chante merveilleusement bien!
Bref, tous les critères sont réunis pour que vous passiez un bon moment.

I will definitely come back. Excellent food and service. There was only one point that could have raised them to 10/10: I was asked if it was a special occasion. Yes, I said, This was my birthday :-) . Any dessert or after drink could have done the trick! Aside from that, great place!

Outside seating was fun. Service is very attentive and food was delicious. Small but interesting wine list and nice recommendations from the server
Our entrés, the calamari, the burrata and the bruschetta were equally satisfying. Our main courses were pasta since we went out wanting carbs. My ravioli with butter, sage and parmesan sauce was out of this world. And I've eaten this dish in many towns across Italy and II BAZZALI is a top contender for first place. Above all the prices are very very reasonable.

Food was delicious, lots of choices (I was happily surprised) and the chef is passionate.
Seating is a bit tight: we were 14 and not a lot of space to move around but nothing to take away the positive experience

It seems that anything on the menu is fantastic. You really can't go wrong. The carrot soup with cream and honey is the best I've ever had and the lamb shank was simply perfect.

Hidden gem in Montreal. Can’t wait to go back. Monday to Thursday Chef Davide sings opera while he cooks. Everything is perfect about this restaurant. Excellent place to go when celebrating a birthday. Chef says he loves singing the happy birthday song. Can’t wait to go back.
I have no pictures of the food because I was so excited, I gobbled it up too quickly! Sunday night is THE night to try this place. Delicious five course meal for $40, and it’s BYOB. Soooo good. Atmosphere is buzzing, seating is tight but totally worth it.

Small place, food is nice. There was lot of people so service is not great. The main issue with me is the noise level, it is unbearable at the end. Definitely is not good for kids.

La nourriture est excellente !! Tellement bon j’ai hâte d’essayer d’autres choses sur la carte ! Les prix sont très abordables surtout par rapport à la qualité de la nourriture et du service !
Le chef qui chante c’est tellement beau et original, c’est d’ailleurs la raison première pour la quelle je suis allé là, le seul bémol c’est qu’il y a beaucoup de bruit et que nous n’avons pas réussi à apprécier pleinement le tallent et la beauté de la voix du chef ! C’est pas si grave au final mais si vous pouviez trouver une solution (comme un meilleur système de son ou une sorte de signal quand le chef commence à chanter pour que les gens respectent ça rendrait l’expérience encore meilleure)

la serveuse attitrée à notre section était bête et pas vue une fois son sourire mise à part arrivé au paiement. Une seule personne peut rendre l’expérience d’une nouvelle cliente. Puisque les 2 autres serveuses étaient très souriantes.
Ambiance incroyable. Difficile de faire mieux quand le chef lui-même chante des aires d’opéra en cuisinant de savoureux plats que nous avons avec plaisir dévoré!

Pas pour deux personnes. Je ne comprends pas comment on peut utiliser une table de 4 pour asseoir deux personnes collés sur deux autres personnes. Rentabilisé son espace au détriment de l'intimité de chacun ca me dérange.
