Had a great time! I knew the drinks would be good but I was totally shocked that the food is amazing as well. Perfect spot for a ladies night or bachelorette party.
On arrival you’re thoroughly searched, it has a night club in the hood vibe. After check point one, you’re herded to check point two where the greeter has you lined up to address you. The greeter was pleasant, but left for an elongated period to address something inside, while patrons waited outside of closed doors without any additional information or service. When the greeter returned we were given attention and escorted inside, where the table we were given was between the bathroom and bar in a walkway, which was horrible for a party of eight. After lots of advocacy, and back and forth we were placed at a table along the wall. Here’s where the major pain points set in... We waited a long while for a waitress to greet us, the drink order was incorrect and the waitress seemed annoyed when we asked for a revision, the special request I put in for my father (a strict pescatarian) was ignored (he had no food option besides avocado toast), the food was lukewarm, my sister’s cutlery was filthy and we had a long wait for help, it was my daughter’s birthday and all other tables had the birthday set up except ours, I had to get up several times and go to the bar to get my server’s attention and help. After being upset I asked for the manger, she came out and was nice enough, gave us a round of fireball shots gratis. That didn’t improve the service, because after she departed when they finally brought out my cake, it was without cutting utensils or cutlery for the guests after another long wait. I paid the full bill and full gratuity, but WILL NEVER go there again. It was horrible!
Eeeeeh. Overpriced brunch. If you google The same champagne bottles that they give you for a $75 brunch, you’ll find them for $17 online. For the price, the menu should have way more options. The only good things about our experience was the music being on point. Knocked off bucket list but would not return
I celebrated my 25th birthday here and it was amazing! The ambiance was beautiful. My guests and I really enjoyed ourselves and the music was great. We danced, drank, and ate all day. My server even accomdated my guests that showed up a little late with free fries since they missed the cut off time for food. Overall, it was a great experince and really made me feel special. I will definitely return!
Loved it ...the food was good could of been better but it was rocking in there i danced the entire time
the bouncers were amazing. they weren’t being jerks or anything like that. the music was great and place itself was nice. however, the bartender or the girl who was serving us didn’t know how to make some basic shots and the food was alright. but for the price, it’s not worth it. $45 for pretty much a glass of champagne and your entree.
probably wouldn’t go back.
It was my birthday and i had the time of my life!!! My friends and I enjoyed everything!! The food, the place, the energy was amazing! Our server was amazing , polite and so wonderful! My birthday was a success beyond my dreams!!! I loved it!!!
The place was no terribly packed which was nice; the music was a variety of everything you would want to hear reggaeton hip hop r n b and reggae. This was a perfect birthday brunch for me. It’s literally an indoor day party.
Great ambiance but the music was so loud our waiter kept walking away from us as we were trying to tell him something on top of that he had a mean face. It was the person who served drinks not the one who brought our food.
I did not like it. If you’re someone who’s between the ages 21-25 this is a great spot for you. But as an adult just turning 30 I was HIGHLY disappointed! And the music was super loud!
Had a lovely birthday. No complaints.. food was good. Service good. Music good
My friends and I went for a bachelor party. Open table booked my 12pm reservation because Il Bastardo never updated their changed 2pm summer hours through them. I called and spoke with a woman to confirm our reservation two weeks before and to ask about how much things cost and the DJ. I showed up with 9 people to a closed building and we had to wait around for 2 hours. There were also 3 employees that were there who were waiting around at the same time as us and thought their shift was at 12 and couldn’t get in touch with the manager. I spoke with the manager to complain and ask for something to make our experience better and she said she didn’t care if we wanted our table or not, they had enough people coming in. She didn’t apologize and told me it was my fault for not knowing their summer hours.
Biggest mistake coming here. Should’ve listened to all of the reviews. If you’re looking for a ghetto scene with fights breaking out in the bathrooms, then this is the place for you. If you’re looking for a party brunch but with a better confluence, then go to bagatelle.
Food could be better for what was paid for. DJ was amazing!!!
Love the energy & Dj was Amazing. Overall Beautiful location
This place was terrible! Gravely overpriced. $75 for mimosas or bellinis. And the food wasn’t even good quality. Service was good, but not worth the price.
it was my birthday brunch but it was way to expensive, But i had a blast the music was Amazing and the crowd was popping we danced all day
the DJ showed me mad love.
This review is strictly for Kenneth and his security team. The most polite and professional security staff I’ve ever come across.
I chose Il Bastardo to celebrate my birthday after several friends suggested it. After reading Google reviews, I started second guessing my choice. That said, my time at Il Bastardo was fantastic! The music was great! The atmosphere was lively. The servers were on top of everything, and our reservation was ready when half of my party arrived. We were late, but they accommodated us with no problem. The food was yummy, and the bottles that you get with your meal were perfect. If you want a lively boozy brunch spot and like a mix of old and new school R&B, this is the place for you! My friends and I will def return.
I came here for my Cousin’s Bachelorette Outing & we had soooo much fun ! It was like every section was the VIP.
I would definitely recommend to a friend
Good fun, vibes and food. The staff was attentive and the food came quick. I will definitely go back!
Food was good. Service was good. Totally overpriced. No atmosphere really, the DJ was good but the place was empty for a Saturday brunch!
The food was terrible for the price. 100$, for a cheap bottle of champagne and mediocre food.
Overall a good experience. They are very strict about the 2 hours - and it kinda flies by- so just when you start having fun, you have to leave the table. The food was decent - not as bad as I thought. The music makes up for what the rest is lacking. Not 100% sure it's worth the price though.
Absolutely loved it from start to finish! Wld highly recommend to anyone celebrating a birthday.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE, prior to reserving a table for my birthday, I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. For 1 the bottle that you get for the $45 pre-fixe is a JOKE and for 2 the food is Disgusting. On top if the the 20% up charge is ridiculous. End the end my party spent $80 per person on a nip size bottle of house champagne and went home hungry because the was cold and tasteless to say the least. Thank God for the DJ because that is the only this keeping this place open. Completely disappointed, I owe everyone in my party dinner for wasting their hard earned money.
Everything was great, minus the fact that they rushed us out of our seats once we paid our bill. There were random people that just sat down that were there at the same time we arrived & we just felt rushed.
Had so much fun for my birthday.. not sure why they have bad reviews.. would definitely go again
I believe that this place is over hype. The bottles are not worth the price. It's mediocre. Furthermore, I found hair on my lobster mac n cheese and didn't get anything but " sorry". The bill came out to 225 and I just didn't think it was worth it.
The music was cool.
10/10 would recommend and will be coming back. Amazing atmosphere and great service.
I made the reservation for my best friends bachelorette night. It wasn’t as packed as I thought it would be from the videos and images I saw prior to making a reservation, but considering the size that was a good thing. The music is very loud but the DJ plays well. It was a little annoying hearing the 2 Chainz Birthday Song every time the servers brought out the sign and sparklers. He even played it for the bachelorette sign. It is a song to hype the crowd, but there’s plenty of other birthday song options to play as well.
The bagel and Lox is amazing!!! The other ladies enjoyed their food options.
There was a few bad customer service moments, but once it was brought to the managers attention he fixed it so we could all leave pleased with our experience.
IL bistardo is a nice chic place i highly recommend for bdays if you wanna feel special ...it is very expensive cocktails at the bar is 20....and there is a 5dollar cake fee person when you bring your own cake and a 15% fee admin/gratuity...other then the price the music was great my parents even enjoyed my host brendan was amazing went saturday and had a blast the food was good i had the steak and eggs
It was okay. The food had absolutely no flavor or seasoning at all so that was trash... a lot of people may just come for the alcohol. The music was a good mix, mostly Hip Hop, R&B, and Top 40. The service was nice. But I wouldn't come back, mainly because of the food.
I would not recommend because of the servers and management team made me and my party uncomfortable. As well as was rude, the Hostess party failed to give information on payment information and the manager literally told us we were lying. My friend someone stole her jacket after someone cleared off our table and moved all of our items to another table . It just was not a good time. Love the security team though maybe they should teach the managers social skills.
Although I had heard mixed reviews before going to Il Bastardo, I decided to take the leap of faith for my birthday brunch anyways. I had a great time! The food was good and the bottles were plenty. It is pricey, but for a once in the blue moon brunch it was worth it. The only thing that I had an issue with was the reservation time. I saw many reviews saying that you have to be on time or else they would cancel your reservation, so I made sure that all my guests were an hour early. When 4 o clock came around we had to wait an additional 20 minutes to be seated, because they were still “getting people up.” When I asked if this would cut into our seating time it was said that “we won’t get you up unless we have to.” Although no one else needed a table as large as mine once we made it through brunch, that comment bothered me because to me that meant at 6 if someone needed the table my guests and I would be rushed even after being seated and served late.
Overall, my friends and I had an amazing time. The Dj was lit and we had all the space in the world to dance and enjoy ourselves at our table once we were finished eating. I would definitely recommend this spot.
I was at Bastardo for my friend's birthday party. It was really fun specially the music. The service was excellent and loved the individual bottle per person. Don't miss out Laser robot show!!!! Great place to go will come back soon...
I requested to be on the sections on the wall and did not get accommodated. The server removed all drinks and food from table although we were not finished. I would not go back. It was not worth it.
VERY trashy scene (and I’m no stranger to the NYC club scene). Music so loud you can’t even have a conversation. Very dark. Too expensive for what it is. You have to pay extra for a hamburger on the prix fixe menu...drinks are $20 each. Place looks dirty. They didn’t want to let my friend in because his shirt wasn’t collared...but there were girls inside wearing CROCS and GYM SNEAKERS (twerking in crocs...I’ll leave you with that image)...in one sentence I would say this is the type of place poor people go to think they’re rich. I wouldn’t go back to this place if someone paid me.
Not only were there things such as one card per table limit, lack of clarification on the age limit, and added in service fees and gratuities (that we’re unknown) the service was poor and the place was overpriced. I would definitely never go back there again
