Made a reservation and our table was given away to walk in right as we walked in. Very disappointed.
Excellent. Highly recommend. Attentive to allergies
The food was good and staff was very nice.
The place looks unassuming from the outside but the food is very good and fairly priced.
I have tried this place but to-go for pickup and in person now, and the food has been excellent both times and a good value. Dining in is a bit bright and louder music than I would usually expect for a sushi spot, but fits the Old City vibe. Service is attentive and ingredients are fresh. Solid addition to the neighborhood.
Avoid this place at all costs. The food was just okay. The tiny restaurant was packed and the music was way too loud. As we finished our dinner, young men started coming in and going to the second floor of the restaurant, which is a loft above the bar. There must have been about 50, they kept coming in, not wearing masks. We inquired about this and we were told the owner was having a party and it was for 30 people. We found it peculiar but the volume of people being packed in made us very nervous. We asked for the check. The manager came by and asked us how many martinis we had consumed. Why wouldn’t they be keeping track? Then he returns with no check, just informs us that the restaurant’s card system is malfunctioning so we would have to Venmo or PayPal his personal account. !!!!!!!????? We were stunned. He just told us the amount and we reluctantly complied, but we didn’t receive a receipt or anything. This place is a hot mess and the food isn’t good enough to let any of those issues slide.
The food and drinks was great. The service was great. I will definitely return to Ikki.
This is my third time eating Ikki Sushi; the first two meals were take out. The take-outs were so good that my wife & I wanted to dine in, hoping it would best the awesome takeout. It did. We are really happy to have a first-rate sushi spot in the heart Old City. The food is beautiful, delicious and the prices seem fair to us. I recommend the seaweed salad, which is my benchmark for a Japanese restaurant. The care and craft put into that simple dish tells me volumes about what to expect from the rest of the menu. Crisp, simple, complex, divine.
My only wish is that the outside looked as clean & inviting as the inside. LOTS of care and sensitivity seemed to have gone into the interior remodel. I assume Old City historical covenants restrict the look of the building from the sidewalk. Once I recognized that, I gave the outside appearance a pass. Welcome to the neighborhood Ikki Sushi, wishing you much success. You're earning our loyalty.
This place is awesome! The food is fantastic and cocktails are amazing. Highly recommended.
Amazing food and drinks! The hot and sour soup was tasty and so was the miso soup my bf got. The sushi was perfect, the rolls are bangin! We can’t wait to go back
Friendly and attentive staff and everything we ordered was good.
Low key date with my lover. Quiet easy to get in and out.
Ordered a bottle of sake and had to correct them when they brought the wrong one. Ordered the nigiri platter and a cut of toro but they had no toro so I told them I'd just take the platter, some specialty roll arrived that I'm certain I didn't order. Food was tasty and the price was great but sheesh the service was just not good
