Accueil agréable, Nourriture excellente, service très attentionné, musique en sourdine très agréable nous avons passé un très bon moment, nous y reviendrons certainement.

29 août . C’était notre quatrième fois et nous y retournerons assurément.

La seule raison pour laquelle je n’ai pas donné 5 étoiles pour tout était le non respect de 2 mètres entre les tables sur la terrasse. Elles étaient presque collées l’une à l’autre. Le passage entre les tables était tellement étroit que, lorsque les autres clients sortaient pour aller aux toilettes ou partir, Ils étaient très proches. Pas idéal dans le contexte actuel.

Bon service et pour l'assiette de fruits de mer, la cuisson était excellente! Cependant, il pourrait y avoir au moins 4 pétoncles dans l'assiette à partager, ils sont trop bons! Les saveurs des plats nous rappelaient notre voyage en Grèce de l'an passé. Belle découverte!

The service was excellent

The entrees were very good, (fried zucchini & tartare de loup de mers)

but the bread used for the guedille d’homard, compared to the excellent bread they served us before our meal, was underwhelming.

The gazpacho was not to our liking

Dessert was excellent (mini chocolate mousse)

The music from the speaker was a bit too noisy. The service and the food was exceptional. Also, the restaurant is a nice place. It is expensive but for an anniversary, it is a good choice and the variety of seafood was appreciated. My family was happy about this meal. Thank you.

Really fresh good greek good & service!

Everything was just okay barring a couple items. Forgot to bring us our salad til I asked twice. Had to ask for a clean plate when I was brought one with food still caked onto it.

Price was very high for what it was. The lobster tail was served on a bed of sea salt and the creme fraiche and little bit of sturgeon caviar on top slid off into pure salt ruining any of the subtlety of flavour.

The filet mignon was done very well and the creativity of the roasted vegetable plate was good.

The lobster we had were NOT fresh! The food quality is not qualified with the price (We took the Valentine's menu for 2 of us with the price 78$/ each and 2 set of wine tasting for 42$, so the bill ended up around 300$ ).
We would not come back for sure.

First time there.... I consider myself very familiar with Montreal’s restaurant scene with most of my friends being in ownership or management roles at various spots around town.... but I’d never heard of this place before. And that was my loss. Food was amazing and the place had a really cool vibe. Looked like everyone there was on date night. Portions are on the smaller side and pricey but it’s an ideal opportunity to try multiple items on the menu and to do sharing plates. Service ranged from great to OK depending on who came by the table. I would definitely go back and try a few different items next time.

- GRILLED SEAFOOD PLATTER with Shrimps, scallops, octopus and calamari. What can I say, but a delightful, singular flavor from the wood burning oven and cooked to perfection. The bread served is not one of my favorites, however my partner finds it amazing..go figure!

- SEA URCHIN DUO with Cherry, beet, pomegranate, scallops, Yuzu gel. Clean flavors from a pretty rich appetizer. The gel, my partner enjoyed and she is not a fan of that style.

- DIGBY SCALLOPS with La Canardière foie gras, celeriac, apricot, caper. Cooked as they should be, just fantastic!

- SALMON with beets…ahhh the only disappointment. The beets were a bit too al dente, but that is a matter of taste. Some would rate it higher than me. However the salmon was not a sushi grade. Which might not be an issue, but it was cut in a way that resulted in stringy pieces of fish.

The service would be rated higher, except our waiter appeared relatively new and had trouble finding dairy free options for my partner among other requests. However the Somelier saved the day. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and a great conversationalist. After we perused the Greek selections with him. He set us up with a top notch Italian white wine. This was after our discussion, that the secret of Greek wines is out and the price to value is not as competitive as it was before. The desert wine recommendations were excellent as well.

I have been coming to Ikanos for 10 years as an Old Montreal resident, who knows the quality from the tourist oriented places. Never a bad experience at Ikanos and enjoy the subdued ambiance. In the past, had amazing experiences signing up for the tasting menus with the guest Chefs. I find myself coming less often now, as the prices have increased over time. So it is more of a special occasion place for us, than a go to in Old Montreal.

our experience was beyond expectations. I have only grateful words for the staff at Ikano. Pascal was caring and super helpful. Our dinner was delicious, my partner was so happy with his birthday celebration, and our trilingual family was understood.

Fabulous all the way around! Felt like I was in Greece 🇬🇷 eating delicious Greek Cuisine, and treated like a Queen by the staff!! The Olive Cake is unforgettable!!!

We had a reservation and were seated promptly. The server explained the menu, at the same time, pushing the most expensive 5 course option. She also told us about the “value priced” 3 course option (priced at $79/pp), totally missing the point that all menu items were available a la carte. When we chose to order a few a la carte items and 2 artisanal
gin tonics, her attitude became dismissive. Our bread arrived promptly, shortly followed by our food. Our drinks? Nowhere to be found. After waiting 45 minutes and asking twice about our drinks...entrees finished...we gave up on the drinks and resorted to asking the sommelier to get our check so we could leave. It was only then that our two gin tonics arrived - with the check. The food was good, the drinks were delicious. The service was pushy, arrogant and non-existent. If you’re you’re a patient person and like getting attitude, this is the restaurant for you.

La nourriture chez Ikanos est toujours de première qualité et je suis toujours surpris par l'amalgame des saveurs. Service impeccable et personnalisé. J'avais demandé un siège en particulier et celui-ci m, attendait à mon arrivée. Wow!

Had the sauce trio (tzatziki, tyrokafteri and melizanosalata) and fried zucchini for appetizers, then the grilled seafood platter and the grilled Angus beef strip loin. Everything was so good! The octopus was excellent! I have had octopus at other places and when they are not prepared well, it is very tough. The strip loin was excellent also, medium rare with a nice gravy. For dessert, we had the inspiration, which consisted of loukoumades, olive oil cake and chocolate and almond cookie. The desserts were not overly sweet. Definately a place to return to!

HAD AN EXCELLENT MEAL and very attentive service. Top quality fish and delicious preparations. I also learned the difference between shaken and stirred!
