III Forks Palm Beach Gardens Ratings and Reviews
Absolutely perfect every time we dine at III Forks in Palm Beach Gardens. This was a special occasion to honor my Veteran husband that served in the Army. Thank you to all of our armed forces not just on Veteran's day but everyday! Fernando suggested an amazing bottle of wine that complimented our Filet Mignon dinners. Very courteous servers too. Lynne & Ron Jangaard.
Had a wonderful dinner on Veteran’s Day. III Forks gave Veteran’s a fabulous offer of up to $40 off an entree. That’s so awesome and as usual our dinner exceeded our expectations. Tonight my husband had the filet with the off the cob creamed corn and I had the beef short ribs with the mashed potatoes.
Started off with Happy Hour at the bar for an hour and took advantage of half price drinks and apps. Not your typical "bar bites" but legit food! Had someone check on us continually.
Once seated for dinner, specials were clearly explained. Wife had the grouper which was extremely fresh and garnished with sweet potato puree. I had the 12 oz fillet, cooked perfectly. Sidee order of spinach was nothing special, very plain.
Many upscale restaurants take too long in bringing entrees but III Forks is on point in having both brought together on very hot plates in under a half hour, perfect amount of time to finish the last drink from the bar. Asst Mgr cane by and took our bill and Groupon so we didn't have to wait for waiter.
This restaurant is priced like a higher end place most would like to eat at but measures up poorly. Jay Alexander’s in Palm Beach Gardens (right next door) or Charley’s in Central Florida has the quality of food expected for both the atmosphere & the money that III Forks falls short of. They served warm pretzel bread which was soft & warm, tasted good. We ordered onion rings for an appetizer, they tasted great but were served with just a side of ketchup! Is this Burger King!? I mean just about any other place has a delicious sauce like a chili sauce for example or other flavored sauces.
My wife asked the waitress for a recommendation for a sweet alcoholic drink out of their signature 10-12 drinks on their drink menu. She replied I don’t know, I haven’t tasted any. I then asked her “could you ask the bartender for a recommendation”? For the record we were seated in the same room as the bar. Then the waitress suddenly recommended a lemon drop, strawberry Martini and says it’s not on the menu. It was a good drink but how can you not know anything about your signature drinks??? Again you should know your signature drinks!
Dinner comes, marinated mushrooms, 6 cheese potatoes (which they didn’t say they were scalloped potatoes) and they brought our empty plates which were heated up to help keep the food/steak warm. Plates go down, no steak...... about two minutes later the steak comes out. We ordered the $120, 48 ounce porterhouse to split and take home leftovers. The temperature was good, the outside “crust” of the steak was very flavorful. However the inside and rest of the steak was very bland. Extremely disappointing. I also ordered “Oscar Style” on the side which is jumbo lump crab, asparagus, hollandaise. That didn’t come until after two reminders to the waitress. A higher end priced steak as this should taste very good as it comes. In this case, the Oscar Style made the steak have flavor. My wife asked for béarnaise sauce in order to enjoy her steak.
I visited III Forks more than 30 times - mostly with friends or VIP`s !
After their opening in Palm Beach Gardens, it always was risky to go, because food and/or service sometimes was unacceptable but mostly outstanding.
That is why I was happy, to experience more stability at many former visits.
Only to have the most disappointing evening with our last dinner!
Service was totally unacceptable and food below mediocre!
We left with an enormous bill for a lousy Dinner!
I am available for all details!
Lauren and our server assistant were excellent tonight! The timing of each course was perfect and the food was amazing as usual. Napkins were refolded when someone got up and leftovers were grouped together according to their final destination. Those small details show how professional the service is. Looking forward to dining at three forks again!
We are local and this was out first time at III Forks looking for a new favorite steakhouse as our favorite in the area closed. Will definitely eat here again the wait staff was super and the food was great. We were a little early for reservation and intended to have a drink in the bar. It was very crowded and had dinner tables right in middle but we managed to get a drink and wait outside. The bar area was too crowded for size of restaurant almost seemed like a lot of people hanging at the bar and eating at bar not really waiting to be seated for dinner.
It was our, my fiancé and myself, first time for for my birthday dinner!!!! It was an incredible experience!! Our server Ben was fantastic, patient and attentive to our needs! He definitely provided excellent service!! The food was also amazing!! Great for special occasions 😊!
I enjoyed your bread and my calamari was delicious, heightening my expectation for the rest to come...Although the meal was tasty, I expected a better presentation with my dish, seafood gumbo, my Three Forks salad was a tad wilted, but I was too hungry to complain. Even though the wait staff was quite attentive, our waiter "Teach" was a little too familiar with my group...lacking in my opinion a certain boundary that should exist between customers and staff when spending as much as we did while visiting such a nice establishment as Three Forks. Perhaps some people like that sort of exchange...I wasn't bowled over by his charm or wit...I felt as if I needed to respond... and perhaps my responses perpetrated the matter. If I wanted banter I would have gone to Longhorns...my wife disagrees with my harsh criticism. I did think it to be a bit tacky though when Dave, a.k.a Teach, mentioned your establishment as being superior in quality to Ruth's Chris Steak House and a couple others that he mentioned regarding the grade of meat that you folks served in comparison to those other establishments, i.e. premium versus choice, bad form...Even if it's true...Maybe I like Ruth's. Incidentally my last visit just a few weeks earlier at Ruth's I don't recall them saying anything derogatory about Three Forks. My final critique is I personally felt a little insulted when it was explained to the table of 12 what family style is with regards to side dishes and how we can share them, as if we've never experienced finer dining before. Felt a bit patronizing...maybe I'm overreacting. Although I'm being critical, and I know it, the group enjoyed themselves and that's what really counts. Hopefully our next visit will be delightful.
When one chooses to dine at a higher end restaurant it is generally the case that the diner wants excellent service, very good food, and a pleasant ambiance. The diner knows that the bill is going to reflect all of those things and he/she has a previously established standard in mind. All I can say about my visit to III Forks was that the service provided by our waiter was quite good. The food was actually below par, the surroundings were not much more than average and the amount of the check was not appropriate for the dining experience received. I can not recommend this restaurant to a friend. My wife and I were curious about it, used the Flavor of Palm Beach promotion to try it, spent far more than the basic promotion called for and were very disappointed. A neighbor of mine tried to advise us not to go but we wanted to see it for ourselves. Should have listened to him! There are much better choices available in the local restaurant scene that provide the dining experience that you are willing to pay for.
Expensive restaurant for majority of people so keeping that in mind I would recommend reserving this very fine dinning experience for a special occasion.
For the well to do's , well you already know lll forks has fantastic steaks & accompaniments and they are in keeping with exceptional service.
Steak was sub "prime" @best....I used to eat here when it first opened and was treated like a king and the food was top quality ....after about year and a half things started to go south on all levels and many other choices for "Prime" meat became available and I tried 3/4 of them which were all 9+ on all levels ....I didn't want to travel 20-30 minutes South this night so I opted to try 3 Forks again.....My buddies NY Strip was tough and tasteless , my filet was dry even though it was ordered med rare....The service was mediocre/amateur for a dinner over $200 ....3 Forks 3 strikes you're out!!!
The steaks were tender and delicious. Spinach, baked potato, mushrooms very good. The tomato Burrata salad was also delicious. Cheese was creamy and the tomatoes very tasty. Complimentary dessert was a wonderful chocolate cake. This is a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion.
