III Forks - Jacksonville Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I love coming here. We usually come to III Forks once a year for Valentine’s it for our anniversary. We absolutely love the food, the service and the ambience! In our opinion, there is no better place to dine for that special meal or special occasion than III Forks. We are never disappointed!!!!
I have been to III Forks several times in the past. The food, as always, was outstanding and excellent atmosphere. However, the service was horrible which made me rethink about going there again in the future. Our server, Lauren, had the worst attitude ever. Something you would not encounter at, even, the worst restaurants. And not even once, the manager did stop by to check on our table to ask about the service or our experience. Seemed that they did not care much!!!
Had a 7PM reservation Feb. 13th, early valentines meal with wife. It took them 15 minutes to seat me past my reservation even though arriving 10 minutes early. Received our salads within 10 minutes of ordering, our steaks 45 minutes later. My bone in ribeye was medium well and cold, ordered medium, steak had no marbling, thick and tough.
There were two parties on either side of us drinking heavily and getting louder and louder . Won’t go back. Paid over $200 for 2. It was a Ruth’s Chris Bill for a Longhorn experience, and that’s being unkind to Longhorns.
The staff was very courteous and responsive. Everything about the food was amazing. Done to perfection and not over seasoned. The cocktail was very tasty. The filet was tender and cooked add ordered. The cream corn is a wonderful surprise. Went for our anniversary and all staff congratulated us on the occasion. We will be going back!
We were seated in the bar. We did not request the bar that’s just where they seated us. The service was sketchy. Long breaks between seeing the waitress and delays in getting our drinks. the servers were at the table no more than four or five times for the entire course of the night. We were not finished with our salads when they brought the meal and the maintenance of the table items was terrible. The food was good but the service took away from the total experience.
I was not impressed with the service. My comparison to this restaurant is Ruth Chris. Ruth Chris has water and bread at your table with in 1st 15min. 3 forks bread was not served until after appetizers. Ruth Chris removes finished plates, I was stacking empty plates on my table. Ruth Chris makes sure your steak is the right temperature when they serve it. After 20 min of receiving my steak the server came by so that I could send my well done steak back to the kitchen to reorder a med rare.
Took my wife here for Valentine's Day Dinner (a few days early). We had the special dinner with lobster bisque, filet mignon and lobster tail entree. The food was delicious and very rich. We took the dessert home with us. The service was good, but almost too attentive. The food was served way too quickly, and we felt rushed, which is not acceptable for such a special occasion, and considering the cost of the meal. The appetizer soup was brought out before our cocktails even arrived. The entree came out immediately after we finished the soup. Likewise, the dessert was brought out as soon as our entree dishes were whisked away. And, the server couldn't get the check out, signed, and receipt back to me seemingly fast enough. The experience overall was very good, but you should NEVER rush diners at such an expensive place unless they request fast service because they are in a hurry.
Food was very good. Service was excellent! Price was way over the top for what you get. $60 steak very fatty. Filet way under requested doneness. Appetizers we're crazy! Overpriced. All that being said though it was a fun splurge for us. Won't do it again though.
Hard for me to really write based on the food. Perfect night in many ways, great company, I was enchanted by her presence so the food is the last thing I think about from the stop. But that's the great thing about it. Zero issues. We were free to be with each other, no distractions. We were both happy leaving, felt full and had nothing but great thoughts about it all. Spent more time than I assumed, and as well another good thing. Couldn't tell you if the food was quick or slow. It was there when we needed it. The restaurant as you may have guessed was a minor player in the night for me so my comments may be useless to many. But if you're looking for something upscale to take the world away and just be in the background, this would be first on my list again when in Jacksonville.
Took my adult son there for dinner as he LOVES steak. It was OUTSTANDING. We ordered the steak tartar (as he had never experienced it - and you don't see it on the menu much anymore). That too was fabulous! I had the appetizer scallops for dinner. They came with a bacon chutney/jam. Soooooo good!
While comparable in price, III Forks does not compare in quality with Ruth’s Chris. The small filet was somewhat dry and part of it was not very tender and had some gristle in it. In the future, when I want a nice steakhouse experience, I will go to Ruth’s.
