III Forks - Jacksonville Ratings and Reviews
Went here for a business dinner. Everything was fantastic! Food, service, ambiance....loved it! I'll be back on my own/with my partner. The place is beautiful and the food, drinks, etc. couldn't have been better. I had the tenderloin salad which was very inexpensive relative to the other dishes but plentiful (I couldn't even finish it) and DELICIOIUS!
The 45 day aged ribeye was really good but if you have a green egg and pay attention to meat temps not worth the price. The bread was delicious before the meal and my wife’s pork chop was very good also. The three forks salad was very good and the Caesar salad was pretty good. The service was great my water glass was never less than half full and the staff was very helpful. A lady came in with a perfume on that nearly choked my wife to death so I quietly asked the waiter if it would be a problem to move to a different table and they happily moved us. Over all a great experience and if I would not have gotten one of the most expensive steaks on the menue probably would have given it a 5 star all the way around.
The service was very good I sat down at 640pm and ordered a medium rare stake with French fries and my food came out 50 Min later and the steak was cold. Very bad kitchen service there was definitely something wrong the table next to me complained of waiting close to 1 hour for their meal and the restaurant was not busy.
AMAZING!!! Food was great. Drinks were great. Ambience was great. Went for Anniversary dinner with my wife and I️ couldn’t be more satisfied. Everyone was nice and congratulated us on our anniversary. Even brought out dessert on the house. Did I mention the food was amazing? It’s expensive but definitely worth it.
This is a beautifully designed restaurant, one of the nicest in Jacksonville. The positives of dining here, apart from the design are: 1) immediate seating with our request for a quiet table taken seriously (it was pure enjoyment to talk and listen on a Saturday evening without straining); 2) a highly professional staff, including reservations staff, the waitstaff, and the valet; all were a pleasure to interact with; 3) nice presentations of the side dishes, which were delicious; & 4) well-maintained restrooms, which is not always the case these days even in restaurants as expensive as III Forks. The major disappointment is the entree value. Three of us had filet mignons (two of us had the 6 oz; one had the 8 oz), which was not prime meat but charged as though it was. These small filets were served on huge plates without any accompanying accoutrements, all of which were extra. The filet presentation was not artful or was the taste of the filet a "smacking good" one. On the other hand, one member of our party had the grouper with risotto and found it perfect. Despite the disappointment, we would return because of the positives but not order the steak. There are other menu items less costly than a 6 or 8 oz filet mignon, which are certainly worth trying in a restaurant with a really pleasing ambience.
Second and last time I go eat at this overpriced restaurant...
Ordered a 6 oz. filet mignon, medium rare, Pittsburgh Style, and was lectured by “Randy” as to how I would get a cold center with charred exterior, and that I needed to order medium rare charred outside.....
Steak came out cold as if it had been sitting there for ten minutes before being served... butter wouldn’t even melt...as a client from a steak restaurant owned family, it was all I could do to keep quiet....
No desert, no coffee, bad tip, waited for ever between visits from our server.... seems he was put out by us being there.... good riddance....
Over priced and limited wine list, over priced everything... not going back...
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner here. We started at the bar with apps and wine. Good happy hour as well. Then, on to dinner. From beginning to end the food and service were fantastic! The gave us complimentry dessert and took a photo as well, which they print there. It was a nice touch! We will be back!
The BEST meal I've had in a long time..Staff were very friendly and provided outstanding service..it was my boyfriend's birthday but he surprised me with an engagement ring and proposed right there at our table with staff to assist..we were given three dessert items and a glass of champagne with well wishes all complementary!!!
NEVER have I felt so comfortable while out dining...THREE FORKS IS THE BEST IN SERVICE AND FOOD..OUTSTANDING "HIDDEN GEM"!!!!!
If you have never been put lll Forks on your "to do" list.
Steak was dry despite being prepared properly. Absolutely no flavor to the steak. For its value their are other better steakhouses. This place was overrated and frankly a disappointment. Manager did remove the steak from our bill. The table next to us also needed to return their steak.
The food was excellent. Had business guests in
Town from NYC who know a great steak house when they see one. They were very
Impressed with the menu, specials, wine
List and dessert selections. Quiet so we could converse without raising our voices. Always a top spot for special occasions in our group. Do yourself a favor and hit this spot up. Will not be disappointed.
Our waiter was good but we were a party of 4 placed at a table for 6 despite me calling twice and asking for a booth. The girl at the front said we would like it because of the waiter. Well we did not. It made it awkward for talking and for sharing dishes. It was a bright room with several tables. There was a loud large party in the room for half our meal. We paid extra for a full cake to celebrate a birthday and it was delicious. No singing by any staff however. The food was good except for the burned Brussels sprouts. Steaks were nice. Ambiance not so good due to table size and being in that bright room. I would try the place again but leave if I didn’t get a booth. The room we were in would be fine if you had a party of six or eight.
