Charred Cauliflower Steak
Lobster Mac & Cheese
Food was excellent unfortunately the service was awful! We waited an inordinate amount of time for our orders to be taken and once delivered we received the wrong order and we had to start over as another table received our order. The “manager” came by the table to offer nothing but a feeble explanation of their mixup. I told this gentleman we were there to celebrate my son’s birthday. Not only were we not offered any type of special birthday dessert, we we offered NO dessert menu at all! If you are going to spend this type of money for a fine dining experience you are better advised to look elsewhere until there is a change in management.
Our meal was superb. Both my steak and my wife's pork chop were cooked perfectly. A great venue for a special occassion.
Not cheap, but excellent food and service! everything we ate and drank was superb!
The service, location and ambiance were all amazing. This review is about the food. It was missing a few marks. The spinach dip was flavorless. The sauce tasted like a thickened skim milk with no cheese. The steak we ordered medium, some parts were well done to medium well. The lobster mac had great potential but i have never had one with a lemon flavor to it. Overall its a great place to try but I think I would choose Another fine dining steakhouse over this one in the future.
We had a great dining experience from the lobster appetizer to the main course it was exceptional. Our server Kari allowed us to eat and order at our leisure. She made great recommendations for drinks and appetizer. Excellent service.
No acknowledgement of the birthday I put in the reservation.
Server knew very little about menu items.
Meat was tough- strip filet.
Steak burger served on TOAST w/ very little gouda & cold French fries.
No soup selection.
Went on 02/19/21 for dinner. Reservation was at 7:30PM. Upon arrival, we were told the table wasn’t ready and we could hang out at the bar. Sure, no big deal. 20 min passed, got a txt message and went to see the hostess. We were told, the table was almost ready and to start closing the bar tab, the hostess will tell us when ready. Another 20 min passed by. Went again and asked for the table, in an absolute rudeness tone was told they sent us a txt already... but the hostess forgot to look for us. A brief exchange were I had to ask / remind the host to calm down and to remember 1) We are the customer, 2) She was the one that forgot to look for us as she told us.
Anyway, it is late... let’s go eat... no big deal I guess.... went to the table and food was good. The stake was delicious to be fair.
The funny part was when the waitress told us the Chef sent us a courtesy dish, and I kid you not: Two slices of tomato and one large onion. In what seemed to reflect, well just that: Two tomatoes circles and a large onion. You get the visual now. A joke, a dick move by the chef, or sweet revenge by the host / waitress combo.
We laughed about it. Was this really meant to be a courtesy move or just a plain tasteless joke by the staff?
Just be warned... the chef or not so happy stuff will likely send you a courtesy dish of exactly two slices of tomato and a large onion.
We wanted a table outside because we are being extra cautious due to covid. It was a cold night and they sat us outside next to a heater that was not turned on. We had to turn it on ourselves and then we waited over 30 minutes and no one ever showed up to take our drink or dinner order. We ended up leaving. What a disaster.
Steak was dry and pork chops were tough to cut...
My wife and I are avid Ruth Chris goers, going at least once a month. After our experience 02/15/2021 at III Forks, we will never go to another steakhouse in the Jacksonville area again. The crab cake was almost all crab, the lobster Mac was creamy and loaded with huge chunks of lobster, and the Dallas imported root beer was amazing. We order the 26oz wagyu ribeye with the kings butter over top, and it was by far the best we have ever had. We could cut the steak with our forks, it was tender. And the flavor was next level. We have been let down before by other steak house, bringing out our steaks without a sear, III did not disappoint. It was the perfect crust, to medium rare ratio I’ve ever had on a steak. The service? Our waiter, Jeff, was great. He was attentive, funny, and very knowledgeable on the menu. We will now make III forks, our new steak house.
I read so many recent bad reviews Recently but I made my reservation 4 months in advance so I just went with my boyfriend. To my surprised I was seated so quickly then attended to quickly by my waiter and we were never left waiting for something. Literally only thing we waited for was our lobster Mac and cheese but honestly we were already full so we just asked for the check and to make it up the waiter gave us free desert which made the experience so much sweeter, literally. Just be like me, try it! I hope this helped people because I know the negative recent reviews are hard to shy from. But overall lovely experience my boyfriend and I loved everything.
Had 1st reservations at 4pm when they opened. Took 90 minutes for us to get our main course and some of the food we ordered ran out in the kitchen so basically they didn't prepare for Valentines day at all! Then they didn't even pack my desert that I paid for!! Terrible! For a $670 dinner, was definitely disappointed. Had my son and his girlfriend with us for the first time ever and we get this crap!
My waiter did not check to see if everything was good after receiving our food. I order a dessert and it took over twenty minutes till I cancelled the dessert. The food was great.
I made reservations a few weeks ahead. When we got there, we were immediately seated. Our waiter was the best! The food was awesome. The drinks were even better. Great environment overall. Will be going back soon!
Steak was ok the sides and drinks were pretty good
Food very tasty but pretty pricey as it's a la carte. It was our anniversary and no word or free dessert was offered.
Always excellent food and service. Would recommend for any occasion.
This was the worst experience that our family had at a restaurant (and it was my girlfriend’s birthday). Our server knew absolutely nothing about the menu. He would go to tables and check up on them and would not check on us.
When the food came out, it was a little steak on a huge plate (I recommend to have different size plates depending on the steaks ordered). My daughter asked for a condiments and it took 10 minutes to receive that.
I ordered my steak medium rare plus, and mine came out medium well. My girlfriend ordered medium well plus, and hers steak was basically rare.
I told the server and her stated “well, want do you want me to do? Are you just letting me know?”
I said, you know what, don’t worry about it. He start clearing off the table and taking plates that we wasn’t finished eating.
At that point, we were all over the experience.
He came back and stated our birthday dessert will be out in a couple minutes. 20 minutes later, it came out.
We will never return to this restaurant. It’s definitely not worth it.
We have been there a couple of times over the years, but it wasn't as impressive this time.
We used to frequent Ruth's Chris often, but it has gone downhill over the years. The Fillet Mignon has had fat in it, there should be ZERO fat in a steak that's $40.
3 Forks is still great, but I feel that most of the restaurants are using cheaper meat than they used to, perhaps because of COVID-19, or because the prices on the market have changed for wholesalers, I'm not sure. There was fat in my Fillet Minion. Again there should be ZERO fat in a $40 Fillet Mignon.
I would still go there again, but I just haven't had the kind of super swank feeling that I have in the past.
I feel like dinning out has gone down in general over the last 10 or so years. It's not worth the expense when I can make much fancier food at home for much cheaper.
After all, that was the whole appeal of fine dinning, so you could have food that was great, maybe even stuff that you can't make at home.
Now it seems like all of the places are just "good" but not "great!"
It's a lot like modern art. If I can do it, it's NOT art.
As always Jeff is a great person to come to. Always remembers you, your friends etc. I however have never been told he sees Donna and my comments. I would love to know his managers sees there comments
Had a great dinner definitely going again thanks again
Everything was perfect. Wait staff was spot on. Wonderful evening.
Jess is an amazing server. It was our first date night in over 10 years and everything was spectacular.
Jeff is always a treat!!
Everything was Amazing from setting the reservations to the dinner and of course the waiter.
The steaks were impeccable. Absolutely devine. The waitress was very informative on the dining experience.
Wonderful, as always. Our go to spot for special occasions.
Brought my fiancé here for his birthday because he is a steak guy. Boy was he impressed. Even the Chilean sea bass I had melted in my mouth. We had the lobster Mac and cheese side and the roasted mushrooms. Great addition to the steak and fish.
It was my third time dining at this establishment. The service was ok not great. Jason my waiter was nice but you can tell he didn’t know the menu to good. I had the crab cakes which were very good and the lobster Mac, Great. Extremely Disappointed in the WAGYU New York strip that was served. They gave me the cut with the artery in it, which any Fine Dinning restaurant especially the CHEF should know not to serve that part of the strip. Won’t be getting wagyu here again.
Service was incredible. Food was not worth the price.
First time and great atmosphere. Very beautiful setting. Customer service was very satisfying. I will definitely be back.
The service was good and they really tried to make our anniversary nice but the food was way below what it should have been. My husband had the Wagu strip for 99.00. It should have melted in your mouth but is was rather chewy. The sea bass was below any I have had anywhere else. The corn side was excellent.
Hands down best steakhouse in Jax
My husband and I went there for my birthday. The service and food was great. We sat near the bar and it was a little noisy, but not too bad.
The food was very flavorful and cooked exactly as requested. If you have not had the corn, it is a must on your next visit.
Fantastic atmosphere .
Various areas to dine and each one has its own atmosphere and energy.
Service was amazing.
Hostess got into a nasty fight. Not a good first impression.
30 minutes to get a Btl. of wine. 2 hours to get entrees. The excuse was that they were overwhelmed with delivery orders. Not sure what the wine had to do with that? However they control how many and when they accept delivery-takeout orders. I have dined there many times and have always had great experiences. This one unfortunately was terrible and your "only as good as your last ball game!" The next time I want to spend $300 I will consider other options.
