III Forks - Hallandale Ratings and Reviews
Wine service was so-so.
Filling the taster's glass before other guests with no attention to women first.
Not enough choice of vegetables; we prefer mixed vegetables not only one in each side dish.
We prefer a fully-loaded plate with rice ( or potatoes) and mixed vegetables instead of side-dish system.
The service here is wonderful to say the least. I went on a Monday night for a quiet dinner for my birthday and I left extremely happy and satisfied. The staff was amazing, the food was excellent and so was the wine. I’ve been here before the ambiance is quiet and suitable for a date night. The food is great so I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in town.
Had never seen or heard of this place until the voucher was purchased but was pleasantly surprised. Food was delicious. Decor and ambiance was exceptional, especially, for date night, and our server Rachel was patient, helpful, and well informed of the menu. We were first time guests but we will definitely be returning.
ASK FOR RACHEL!!!
If you want plain food, this is not the place. The only streamed vegetable was asparagus(the portion was large, however) and even the bread was way over salted. I was looking forward to the onion rings and they actually looked great, but turned out to be anything but crisp. The steak was just ok, nothing special. We also had the rack of lamb, and while the taste was good, there was so much fat, that I should have gone to the butcher myself. All in all, 100 better steak places, all in the same price range.
They were pretty much the only place we could get into. Now we know why they weren’t booked. We waited over 50 minutes for our steaks that we ordered medium. They came out raw. Yes raw. The Brussels sprouts were great but the other food was just ok. My water was never filled. For a $200 meal I expect great service and food. I hardly ever get on here with a bad review. No wander no one was in the restaurant, the reputation must be out about the slow service. We also witnessed a couple getting soup and were given spoons to eat it with.
Extremely oversalted food, even for me, a person who reaches out for a salt shaker to add to all dishes. I have no idea why would anyone eat such food. The waiter and then the chef said that they are known "for our well seasoned food," but there is seasoning and then there is food ruined by salt.
The service was okay.
Went to their LAX restaurant last year and thought it was excellent and hoped it would be the same here. Got our table right away; no waiting, but there was no one truly in restaurant at 6pm. The wait staff was very nice and attentive and professional. In the end, for the $$, it was not a great value and I have no problem paying higher prices for excellent food, ambiance and service. Unfortunately, I wished I walked into the across the street to the Yard House pub and knew I was not getting equivalent food quality but the food and liquor/beer was going to be at more than 1/2 the cost I paid at III Forks. I'll give it another try, but no time soon.
We had a great meal! My husband thought his filet was the best he has ever had! We had wonderful service! Our waitress and assisting staff were awesome! We have been here for dinner a few times and have never been disappointed. It just keeps getting better and better. We highly recommend III forks to all our friends!
I was not impressed. I had a 7 30pm reservation. They had me stand in the middle of the restaurant as they tidied up a table. The service from the kitchen took a very long time. 3 hours to eat 4 courses. On top of that the food was not hot. As if it was left out. Our only kudos was for our lovely server. I want to maybe give it another try, but to spend that kind of money for that overall service again.
When for Thanksgiving dinner. When we got there on time for our reservation was told they didn't have a table. We had to wait approximately 20 minutes be seated. We were told that they had overbooked the place.
After we were seated the service was painfully slow with the long delays between courses. This despite being in a prefix menu. It took us almost 3 hours to complete the meal. And yes, we were tempted to walk out about halfway through.
The food was okay. Nothing special. There're much better restaurants nearby. As a steak place this would not be my preferred choice. This place is not competitive with places like Chops lobster bar or even Ruth Chris's.
My final advice, caveat emptor, you've been warned.
When living in Austin, TX, we would go to Three Forks. Always excellent. We moved to Aventura, FL., and began going to Three Forks here. Time and time again we felt it was going downhill. But Thanksgiving did it! Service was terrible! It took a long time before we could order drinks. Then a long time before they took our dining order. From there, long waiting time for the soups, which were cold. Long waiting time for the salad. Worst of all, a 35-minute wait for the main course. Note that they were serving a prix fixe menu only, so it’s not that they had to prepare tens of different plates. The waiter kind of apologized by saying that this was their busiest day of the year. No excuse, in my mind. If they accept reservations for 50, they should be prepared to properly serve 50. If they take reservations for 100, they should be prepared to properly serve 100. They did not. We heard similar complaints from other guests. And food was not that good either. I believe they lost a good number of clientele that day. Us for sure. We will not be returning there!
