III Forks - Dallas Ratings and Reviews
My husband and Inhave always wanted to come here, but it’s a bit pricy, so we waited until Thanksgiving with a prefixed menu. The decor and atmosphere inside was welcoming and warm. We were seated at our reserved time and on the outskirts of the dining room...we could see all that was going on. Like a well-oiled machine, the staff were hustling about and really unnoticeable. Our four courses were timely without being rushed and very tasty. The service was superb and the price was right. Lots of leftovers...we look to return again once we’ve saved our pennies...
We went to III Forks for their Thanksgiving feast. It was absolutely wonderful. The food was outstanding, every bite was "oh this is sooooo good". The wait staff was extremely attentive and the management came by several times to check on everything. But it all comes down to the food and the perfect atmosphere we were looking for. We do not normally eat out for our Thanksgiving meal but this might become a new tradition.
Atmosphere was great and service was very good. The meal was disappointing however. The lobster bisque had microscopic pieces of lobster and all our steaks were undercooked. Mine actually, was good on one side and way undercooked on the other......we had asked for medium well and got medium rare. Pretty disappointing dinner in a nice atmosphere.
This is an excellent restaurant. From the time we were greeted at the door to our fabulous waitress. The food and sides were very good. Only star reduction was for the New York Strip .. Cooked to perfection MR but not as tender as I would have anticipated. I would go back again.
Service was painfully slow. Brought this to the managers attention and main courses showed immediately, but later could not get waitresses attention. Food OK but institutional in quality. 2 of our guests had to send their filets back substantially underdone. Not worth the cost, stuffy atmosphere, slow service. Many better choices in Dallas.
If it were not for the overly loud piano playing I would rate this a five overall. The piano music is too loud. At a table for four we had a difficult time hearing each other. Tone down the piano music so that people can actually have a conversation. It should be background music. The food and service were great. It's just too bad that the music was so loud that you felt like you were sitting in the middle of a jam session.
We took advantage of III Forks' proprietor's offer of a free entree up to $40 for veterans. First, there was a table near the entrance with five empty place-settings, roses, and a small plaque at each seat, one for each branch of the service. The table was for those that did not come home. Very well done, very classy, and humbling.
The meal was outstanding, the service was top-notch. The wine selection was adequate and the wine prices very reasonable. All in all, a wonderful evening and a very enjoyable experience. Not our first time at III Forks, and not our last. Thank you, Chris Vogeli, for your generous gift to vets.
Loved our time at 3 Forks!
Server was terrific- no rushing, patient with our minds changing. Steak was the best we’ve ever eaten. The seafood sample was just wonderful with fine sauces on each.
Not a single raised eyebrow at our little service dog....seating at a larger round table looked better, however the noise level made it hard to understand each other; we needed to lean in to hear each other!
Suggestions include: have smaller areas available or ask for noisy? vs not noisy?
Mashed potatoes-yum! Salad- yum!
Everything was prepared beautifully.
III Forks has a Veterans Day special every year I usually have a group of four to six fellow veterans attend. This is absolutely the best Veterans Day offer available. We all really appreciate everything that III Forks has done to recognize Veterans and their service. Food and service was great!
The service was excellent. The staff was very attentive to our needs. All questions were answered courteously and clearly. As good as the steak was, the scallops are definitely the stars on the menu. It's hard to find scallops cooked just right with the proper amount of seasoning and sauce time on the grill. Overall, and excellent experience. Will always return for more.
The house salad was a disappointment. Kinda soggy and the bowl served in was less than desirable. Steak was very good, served as requested and the sides were also good. Not a memorable experience as the ones we had before at III Forks. Seemed more commercial than unique.
