About III Forks - Chicago

III Forks, one of the nation's USDA Prime Steakhouses, is located at the Village Market in Lakeshore East, just north of Millennium Park in beautiful downtown Chicago. This modern restaurant is simply sizzling with style and provides the perfect setting for upscale dining, rooftop lounging, private parties and special events. III Forks is a contemporary evolution of the classic steakhouse featuring USDA Prime Beef, ocean-fresh seafood and locally sourced Midwest fare. Less than half of one percent of all US beef makes the III Forks Prime quality grade. This leads to great steaks that offer abundant marbling, juiciness, tenderness and superior flavor.

III Forks also offers an impressive venue for private affairs. Three private dining rooms will be available for corporate meetings, seated social gatherings and cocktail receptions. The rooftop lounge is also available for private parties of up to 150 guests.

We had the Valentines Day special. Filets were cooked perfectly to our request and the lobster was good. Lobster Bisque is excellent. Had creamed corn and potatoes, also very good. Would have liked a hot veggie with the meal though. Bread was excellent. It did take a while for someone to check in with us and take our drink order. They do have some very expensive meals but the Valentines Day special was very reasonable.

Three forks is convenient for me. The hostess Dale and manager Jeremy always make me feel welcome along with bartender Stephanie. The atmosphere is warmed by the large fire feature. Three forks is a,favorite gathering place for lake shore east residents as well as workers from AON . Center who need to delay going home or need a business dinner place.

Great location for an out-of-the-way downtown location. It’s like a gem in the heart of the city. The entire staff was wonderful—extremely helpful and competent—thanks Tony! The food was outstanding. The dinning areas and bar are beautiful with wonderful window views of the park with its gated area for dogs to romp and play. We definitely will be back and bring our friends with us.

I must say, “I wasn’t impressed.” I have been wanting to dine at III Forks for over a year now, and my overall experience was okay. The reason my experience was “just okay” is one of the managers, Anton Licko, wasn’t attentive at all. He engaged the people (tables) around us throughout the night. However, he did not check in with my table at all. After he walked passed our table the entire stay (6-8 times), he finally asked the other manager to check in with us. By that time, my impression was made, and I was ready to leave. In addition, the sautéed spinach wasn’t sautéed. The fresh spinach was still firm, dry, and uncooked. The salmon was bland, little flavor. The mash potatoes were good, yet the seasonal vegetables (brocillni) was bland. The lamb meatballs were okay, but the scallops were good. The III fork salad was good, but the chocolate cake was dry.

The waiter tried to accommodate us after I honestly answered his question about how was our evening and the food. We declined the accommodations, but we were grateful he offered.

Unfortunately, I will not go back. Maybe I went on a bad night...

Went for Restaurant Week and the menu was great, food was wonderful and service impeccable; They hard us wishing someone at our table (there were 6 of us) a happy birthday and brought over a birthday drink and a candle in their dessert - it was a nice touch.

1/29/18 My hubby & I were the first customers for the day. Waiter Tony made me feel extra special for my birthday. The best customer service I've ever experienced dining out. Soup, appitizer, dessert & steak was great! Waiter Tony is #AWESOME!

The atmosphere was lovely for our planned outting. We were celebrating a wife's birthday with dinner before a show. The food was delicious, everyone was easily able to find something they liked. Service was excellent. A great place for a celebration dinner.

I have been to Three Forks many times, and I have always enjoyed a great steak, salad, and my time there. This was an exception. The hostess was being very odd. She apologized for the holiday tree still being up (this was shortly after new year's) more than once, even after we said we thought it added to the ambiance. The salad was a very small, limp bit of iceberg wedge literally swimming in dressing. My partner, who almost never sends anything back, sent the oysters back as they didn't taste good, but we were still charged. The steak was, frankly, a bit rubbery and lacked the usual nice crust. I don't know what was going on, but this isn't the perfect and delicious Three Forks I am used to.

Limited menu was never specified. My boyfriend and i searched over the menu weeks prior to our New Year’s Eve dinner. We were very disappointed. Salmon and steak were our only options. Red meat is not really a thing of ours so we choose the salmon. The salmon was over cooked and dry. The bed of rice it rested on top of was cold. One of our sides was not brought to the table until the second time asking for it. We also never received the salt and pepper we asked for. Having never been to this restaurant, i expected more. We were happy to spend our first New Year’s Eve together and it wasn’t great. Not only that, the coat attendant was very snippy and rude when i placed my coat on the side of her stand to take a photo. She snatched her “tip cup” and said “well now you’re in the way of my tips” as if there were other patrons at her desk or waiting to be serviced. She also declined to take the photo and told another woman who accompanied her to take it because she was no longer interested. It was Not a pleasant experience at all. With all that, i wanted to bring in the new year on a positive vibe, so tried to ignore it all and We did manage to take a nice photo to capture our evening.

We came for a New Year's Eve dinner. The ambiance and decorations were energetic and festive. I was disappointed by the food. My lobster tail was extremely under cooked and the sides were over salted. We had to send back our first round of drinks because they were disgusting and straight liquor. Typically a restaurant, especially one like this, should not charge for something you send back and didn't even take half a sip of. I was excited to try this place but I don't think I'd be returning.

Came to this restaurant for dinner after getting married on New Years Eve. My husband and I was expecting the food to be outstanding but it was just mediocre. That was a bummer for us because we had heard such great things about the menu.

We went on NYE... food was outstanding! Service was much better than expected on such a busy night... everyone went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful holiday dinner. Love all the glass and views of the city, and the fireplace was wonderful. Sharamsburg sparkling wine was a big plus!! Our waiter let us take out time, never felt rushed. Crowd was a mix of all ages . Really really enjoyed. We will be back.
