III Forks was a great experience with its classic decide to its great service and cuisine.
Our waiter turned a meal into an event. Knowledgeable and friendly - without being intrusive - he steered us to several delightful dishes. Try the 10 oz bone-in filet if, as our waiter suggested, you are willing to have that set the filet standard for the rest of your life!
Three Forks is the perfect spot for enjoyable dining where the food is delicious - not pretentious - and the service among the best.
Very special occasions. The steaks are out of this world and so are the prices.
We're from NY and expected something special being in Texas and dining at a high priced steakhouse. Unfortunately the good NY steakhouses are as good if not better. I thought this was overpriced. The real issue was the service - or lack thereof. Very slow and little attention to us even though the restaurant was not crowded. I think it started when we only ordered glasses of wine rather than a bottle.
We had a reservation but were told to wait at the bar. Not only was the place not full, so we did not understand why we had to wait but once at the bar, we couldn't get served.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We went to 111 forks for a 60th birthday celebration. Its very expensive and we found the food to be not a good value. Also nothing about the experience was extras special with regard to a birthday. At this price point I would expect the bread and food to be top of the line but I found it to be so so.The bread was hard and not even fresh tasting.
Great. Waiter was very fun
III Forks - Austin, Texas - I visited III Forks in Austin on Friday Night March 2, 2018. Took a 10 minute walk to III Forks, within walking distance from any Hotel in Downtown. We had 7:30 Reservations, arrived a little early and went to the Bar. We sat at the Bar listening to the great at live music, talking and had such a good time hanging out, did not ask to be seated until after 8:30. The Hostess was more than accommodating, even though we were over an hour past our Table Reservation.
We made it to our requested Booth and had the pleasure of being waited on by Mick! Mick is a older Irish Gent, that could not have been more pleasant, entertaining, funny and completely doted on us the entire evening. One of those rare Gems of Old Class Waiter's, that seem to have disappeared from the landscape. The experience alone with Mick , can make any Restaurant outing, an evening to remember.
I give the Restaurant Bar, with its live music, lively setting and old style steakhouse ambiance, a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10. I give the Restaurant a 9-1/2, with a quiet environment, giving you the ability to talk and the Food nearly impeccable. Not to mention that they let us stay until the lights were being turned out at 12:30AM.
I give our Irish Gent Mick, our amazing Waiter, a "20" on a scale of 1 to 10. If you ever want to have a truly fun, pleasurable, as well as unique Dining experience in Austin, you must visit III Forks and kindly ask that Mick be your Waiter.
Believe me, if you are fortunate enough to experience Mick as your Waiter, I promise that you will not be disappointed with your Dining experience!
Overall an excellent meal. Service was spot on. Bread outstanding, wedge salad very good, but star of meal was petite filet and lobster surf and turf. Also enjoyed the corn off the cob creamed corn.
Upscale dinning with remarkable service! Very friendly and attentive wait staff. Food was excellent!
Exceptional service and the food was great. King’s Butter on a filet is a must!
Filet was overcooked and dry. Wine was overpriced. My wife and I travel a great deal and usually seek out 4 or 5 star restaurants. This was neither. In my opinion not a value added experience. Overpriced for the quality of the food. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Probably won't go back.
This is the 2nd week in a row we went for happy hour. Excellent! We reserved a booth and had the pleasure of being served by the bartender Dennis. He is a very humble and nice guy. We enjoyed the dozen oysters for the unbelievable price of $1 each. This time we tried 3 different varieties. I really enjoyed the ahi app and the onion rings. My husband enjoyed the perfectly rare cooked burger and French fries. He also ordered the key lime pie to go. Next time he said another choice for dessert would be better. Great food, service, and ambiance. The next day the hostess called to follow up on our experience. Who does that any more? We are fans for life. Since we live downtown we plan to make this a weekly event. Please go and enjoy.
Our experience Saturday night at III Forks was amazing. The jazz band, the food and the overall service and attention were fantastic! The bartenders, Jeff and Jessica, introduced themselves and provided detailed drink information and were very friendly! Our waitress, Megan, was very good but could have introduced herself as could the other people who came by the table. This is the only suggestion that I have for improvement. Ernest, the manager, was extremely friendly and genuine. The band was super. Again, our dining experience was top notch and we will come back!
Dinner with our niece who comes to Austin infrequently. Lovely dinner, subdued and relaxing atmosphere.
Always enjoy the food and atmosphere. The live music, almost always a trio, is always mellow and creates an appropriate background for intimate conversation. However, on this particular occasion, the vocalist would remind the patrons too frequently to not forget to tip the trio, the bartender and the wait staff. This was totally unnecessary and kind of rude in an establishment of this class.
Absolutely fabulous!!!! The food was unique and tasty. The service was superb!
I cannot possibly begin to describe the experience we had at lll forks. The steak melted in our mouths. My Filet Mignon came with my choice of butter, garlic, truffle topping. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. . . My son had a butter crab lump topping. The sides go without saying. DO NOT MISS THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU ARE IN AUSTIN TEXAS!! The service is incredible, friendly, absolutely no rushing and meet any allergy need you may have. 3 people checked mine. The whole night was incredible because of the staff. Don't miss it. Thank you for making our challenge as warriors so special!
Wonderful food! Staff is great! Very friendly and always there when you need them. It is bit pricey...but it’s very good!
We had a deliciosus dinner. The steaks were expertly cooked.
It was our anniversary. The food was great and the setting was nice. The waitress was very attentive. It's a little pricey but that was expected. A little noisy in that room that night.
This was my first time attending the establishment and overall not bad. The environment was great but my steak was not as good as I was expecting it to be. I ordered what the waiter said was his “personal favorite”. I asked for well done and came with a long of pink. The steak also contained a lot of fat which I am not a fan of. The rest of the food was great but sadly the main reason I went was to eat a good steak.
Food was unbelievable as usual. Every thing was delicious. Service was not so great. Not like my last experience. Waited 15 minutes before waiter showed up. Never received bread and it was hard to get drinks. Also felt very rushed. Wanted to enjoy romantic dinner and it was like wam bam thank you ma’am. Again food was great service was not near what I expected. Would not return because of the service.
We were seated in the back room beside a very noisy table of about 37. We were hoping for a late intimate quiet Valentine’s dinner but that wasn’t the case (2/16). The food & service was mediocre.
It was Valentines Day. Reservation was made but they did not seat us till 30 minutes later. The bar was ridiculous as far as ordering drinks, so unorganized and total chaos. Very difficult to order a drink. Just ignored for the most part. A young manager with red tie asked if he could help us get anything and we said we are trying to order drinks and he said, ask the bartender, that was laughable. That is what we were attempting to do but thought why ask and then be rude. I would never go back on a holiday. Not a good service experience even though the food was good. Usually, when you pay the price to dine in a very nice and expensive restaurant you get treated better.
Food was exceptional and the surroundings and staff were great. The only only criticism is that the music was a little loud in that it was hard to carry on a conversation at the table and it could have been a little more easy listening. It was more like bar music.
The atmosphere was so romantic and great for Valentine’s Day. If you’re looking for a nice restaurant for you, and your significant other this is the place to go.
Everything was perfectly prepared, fresh, and delicious. The service was to notch, down to earth yet professional and friendly.
Terrible service, the food was priced higher than it's value. Waitstaff rude and condescending. Even hostess and valets were rude. Disappointment after disappointment. Perry's is an altogether superior experience.
A steakhouse is a steakhouse is a steakhouse, no one is noteworthy. But III Forks proved me wrong. Delicious food with great, friendly and peraonable service. Even with the Valentines's rush, our server took the time to make sure we were pleased.
Very posh and upscale restaurant with a "Dallas Country Club " feel. The waiters are professionals within their discipline and are extremely well -versed in the details of the dining and drink offerings. The food is high quality and fresh. It's expensive but elite usually is.
Great food! Great service. It’s pricey but soooo worth it!!
Steak was outstanding, salad superb, sides and deserts only average
The food was good, but not worth the cost. I’ve had much better steaks for less.
I had one of the worse martinis I have ever had - Tito Handmade Martini. The drink was made with hand pressed olive juice - it was at least 80% olive juice which was so over powering I could not finish the drink.
Looking for a great steak? This is the place! You just can't get a better steak hardly anywhere!
Used to be a much better value when the sides were included with the meal - now they are apparently a la carte -
On this visit, we got our steaks and had to wait awhile before they even brought the sides -
Service otherwise was great!
The food was just ok, but we expected excellence for the price. The steaks were cooked right, but the Brussels sprouts were way underdone, even though they were roasted and then fried. The rest of the meal was, again, just ok. The service was good, but nothing special. The best part was not having to re-park after a show at the ACL theatre.
Not at all like the III Forks in North Dallas. Ambiance is more of a strip mall restaurant
Food was amazing! Our waiter, Charles, could not have been more accommodating and pleasant. Definitely will be going back
Everything was incredible, food, service, atmosphere, and location. Will definitely go back.
excellent food and service. my wife and i had an excellent pre-valentines dinner. all the food was delicious. great times, great drinks, great food
Great dinning experience . We ordered the wedge salad to start , surf and turf and the filet mignon with the bone. We got the chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was delicious and service was exceptional.
