Il Piatto is the modern expression of the classic Italian cuisine. Enjoy a selection of antipasto, pastas, gnocchi, and more!

Our private dining package seats 35 guests or holds a reception for 50 guests. With a view of the wine cellar, our Italian restaurant is perfect for all kinds of events.

Il Piatto is open for lunch, brunch, dinner and happy hour.
*Please note, we serve brunch on holiday Mondays and the 4th of July*

    The service and the food were genuinely good—thank you for that. However, I was taken aback by the unexpected 20% “operational cost” added to the bill. For the love of God, just raise your menu prices if needed, but don’t surprise your customers with an extra charge and then clarify that it’s not a tip. It should be my choice how I tip for service, and this fee feels misleading. At the very least, it should be communicated clearly and upfront, not discovered at the bottom of the receipt.

    Well prepared, traditional Italian fare at a nice and comfortable downtown location . Good wine list. Good service. Reasonable noise level.

    As a fellow restaurant owner, I was appalled by the service and attitude directed towards us. My family and I were deeply embarrassed by the server and waiter, and the manager's refusal to address the situation was cowardly. This restaurant is a huge disappointment. I would recommend any other establishment. It is absolutely not kid-friendly and even discriminatory towards families with children.

    It was a perfect evening to eat outside. Service was much quicker than expected so we were able to relax and enjoy the food and the evening. Everything we ordered was terrific. We'll be back!

    Really great experience! Ordered calamari as appetizer for two and was perfect size! We ordered the Chicken Milanese & Short rib ravioli and both were delicious & filling would definitely recommend!

    I’ve eaten here several times before, usually for takeout, and the food has always been great. This time, we decided to sit down dinner, and while the food was just as good as I remembered, the service really missed the mark. Our waitress — a blonde woman, though I couldn’t tell you her name because she never introduced herself — was not friendly at all. When we asked for recommendations, she gave a dry, uninterested response. She didn’t check in on us once to see how the food was or if we needed anything. Honestly, if we hadn’t flagged her down for the check, I don’t think she would’ve come back. It felt like we were bothering her just by being there, which was especially disappointing. Great food, but the service definitely left a bad taste.

    The food was excellent. The staff was very accommodating when we asked to eat outside despite reserving inside. This was my second time there and I'll be back.

    The restaurant host and hostess are either busy talking to each other or on their phones and you have to stand and wait looking at them for at least 2-3 minutes before they can look at you. The servers/waiters don't show up and ask you what you want and never come on time to take the food order. You need a lot of patience and calm mind here. And when they show up, they don't explain the menu items clearly. We were told there was a good Tomato/Basil soup in the menu. The waiter never told us it was a COLD soup. I had ordered a pasta with a regular Tomato sauce. Instead I got the pasta with a spicy Tomato sauce. My wife wanted gluten-free pasta. Instead, she was served regular pasta and the server/waiter claimed it was gluten-free. These guys are way too cocky and arrogant and couldn't care less about what the guest wants. And, without the customer's consent, they add a 20% service charge for this crappy service. This restaurant is in a great, quiet location. But, the service is terrible. Food is okay. Nothing great about this place. Not worth the money. I wouldn't recommend this place.

    We ate lunch (about 11 am to 1 pm) and the service lacked attentiveness. Always had to prompt someone to find our server (to take our order, to get check, etc). Food was tasty although nothing spectacular — standard American take on Italian. Wouldn’t tell anyone to avoid this place, but wouldn’t go out of my way to return either.
