For a laid back, Americanized Mexican restaurant, Iguana's is just fine. We went early and I had fish tacos, which would have been better on corn tortillas than flour, which felt gummy. The table salsas are nice and spicy and the chips are fresh. My sister had the special seafood stuffed rellenos, which she enjoyed, but commented that they were very rich. She had a giant margarita which was very reasonably priced. I ordered a Mai Tai which was too sweet, but I probably should have know that would be the case. There is better Mexican food in Bakersfield, but this is fine for every day basic rice and beans plus a taco/enchilada/relleno fare.

We first experienced Iguanas last year one evening after our Jehovah’s Witnesses convention. Both last year and this year we were extremely satisfied with our visit. Food is top notch, service outstanding and prices were an excellent value. We highly recommend Iguanas for Mexican food.

Nice restaurant. It was very quiet as not many people were there. They make a drink called the green lizard that reminded me of cough medicine. Lol
