   So glad we chose to dine at Iguanas Cocina. My husband ordered the prime-rib and I tried the shrimp mofongo. Excellent choices for both of us. The steak was cooked perfectly. It was my first time trying mofongo and the shrimp with garlic sauce made it a very tasty entree. Our waiter, Prajerio was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. A little pricey but we would go back again.

   Got the stuff pork Lyon. Over half was all fat. Service was terrible. Had to ask for water at least 4 times. Could not understand the waiter. Very loud in the place and he was wearing a mask so everything he said was muffled. Good salad.

   Our server was excellent and explained the specials and was very attentive. The meal took a while to come because they were very busy. The room was pretty lively due to 2 birthdays and 2 rounds of the whole room singing happy birthday ( and 2 embarrassed teenagers!). My fiance had the red snapper special which was tasty but quite small and a side of rice and beans which were excellent, and a beer. I had the New York strip special which was large and tender and excellent, with a side of mofongo. They make it different there, with yuca instead of plantains and it was so good! Tasted a lot like potatoes and was very filling, so he ate the rest of my steak. I got a passion fruit mojito, very good but a little pricy at $16 so I only had one. He ordered the chocolate lava cake for dessert and I had one bite, excellent choice! We were staying at the Wyndham Rio Mar and the shuttle was waiting to take us back as soon as we were done, perfect timing! All in all, a great meal and experience.

    Our waitress Dalila was excellent . She really made our dining experience special she was very personable and made some great recommendations as a former restaurant owner I can tell you she was great at her job and we’re coming back with 6 people during the week and already requested her!!
