Ignite Wood Fire Grill
We came unknowingly during mandatory brunch Easter buffet. Quite pricey but service was good. Waitress was very accommodating with my son's needs as well!
It was an Easter Sunday brunch. However, a lot of the food was very bland - no seasoning. I always look forward to a omelet bar but they didn't have anything like it. They had plain scrambled eggs and a frittata with a little bit of spinach on top of scrambled eggs. I thought it was over priced for the quality of food on the buffet. They had the makings for lox and bagels but no bagels. I had to ask for salt and pepper since there was none on the table to season my food. I also had to ask for salsa to put on my plain scrambled eggs since they were so bland. The only high point was the mimosa bar where they had a selection of juices to add to the champagne and sliced fruits to put in the mimosas.
I would definitely recommend this place. It has a great atmosphere, menu and staff.
The bar area is big and cool, including an awesome outdoor space. Check it out.
Food was good, the whole bird was tender and juicy. The wood fired salmon was great as were the farro and vegetables. This restaurant is pricey, there are better places to eat for the money. The service was good. Love the decor and the ambiance. I would go here for restaurant week and happy hour to try out the food for less money.
Our server, Theresa was delightful and even though it was a buffet brunch she continued to check on us and kept our water glasses filled. While our out-of-town guests did acknowledge that it was loud in the restaurant they were very impressed with our brunch selection site and the food.
Very non-stressful and delicious experience.
We had a great experience at Sunday brunch with family and friends. Service and atmosphere was great and the food was outstanding. We will definitely go back again and would absolutely recommend it to anyone.
Everything was excellent but the restaurant is very loud which makes it a bit more difficult to converse with your table.
Food was good, service was horrible.
We had a good experience at Ignite Wood Fire Grill but had to wait over 45 minutes for our food. Our server told us that the food was taking a bit longer due to the outdoor patio being open. She did bring us some muffins to much on while we waited.
The food was good.
Wife loved the flat bread and salad. My steak was good but not $50 good
My wife and I decided to try Ignite for our anniversary, and we had an excellent experience! Our waiter was very helpful in explaining the menu and he was very attentive and easy to talk to. The food was phenomenal. We will definitely be coming back!
Great service, great food, served quickly, highly recommend!
Had family in town...went to a 5 star spot earlier in the week...Ignite was hands down better than the other restaurant. Our waitress took great care of us...food was better...great experience
Beautiful restaurant, fantastic wine list, excellent food and service!
Went for a girls night out, food was awesome, wine was great and the service was wonderful. I love the decor and layout of the restaurant.
The service (Michelle was our server) was attentive without being overbearing and quite good! She was friendly, made sure we were comfortable and enjoying our meals and is very friendly. Nicely done, Michelle! The food, a real measure of a restaurant, was also quite good. I had a pasta which was flavorful, appropriately and wonderfully cooked al dente. My wife and our friend had scallops which they said were also excellent. They had,one of my favorite seasonal beers on tap...Boulevard’s Irish Ale and we had dessert which was wonderful too. We’ll be back. Almost forgot the front of the house manager, Daniel, who was great and very personable. We loved everything about Ignite and we will definitely be back.
We ate at the bar and try bartenders were fantastic! The food and drinks were GREAT! Highly recommend the tenderloin!
The noise in the restaurant is my only negative review, otherwise highly recommended.
Outstanding! Service, food and setting were all superb. My first visit - I’ll definitely be back! Eskie salad with salmon was perfect!!
Great food and good service. A little expensive, but 1/2 priced bottles of wine helped
Great food, great service and great drinks! We really enjoyed our brunch on Sunday. We will be back for sure!
We sat at the bar in the kitchen and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I had the pork shank which was very tender and flavorful. My wife enjoyed lamb chops. Our service was perfect. We’ll be back soon.
Disappointing. This was our 2nd visit, will most likely not return. we have a birthday dinner for my mother. the service was slow, the room was very noisy. When the food was served we were not provided with steak knives. Really? This is a steak joint, right? I had to get up and walk back to the kitchen to request the proper cutlery to eat our food (while it was getting cold). My poor mother, who has arthritis, was sawing away on her porkchop with a butter knife.
It seemed to take forever to get our server to box up our leftovers. The server saw the cards and gifts on the table and asked if we were celebrating something and we told her yes, it was a birthday, so the server handed out the dessert menus and asked if we wanted to buy dessert for the birthday girl. Seriously? Our total tab was around $250 with tip for 5 people and they can't offer a complimentary birthday dessert? I told her, "no thanks, we have cake back at the house".
Especially enjoy Sunday brunch! We'll be back again!
This was our fourth trip to Ignite and was our best experience there. The scallops are wonderful, although spicy (and no warning of that on the menu). The lamb gnocchi was only so-so. Don't need to try again. One complaint is that there are very few local beers on tap. With all the excellent breweries in KC, you would expect more local beers, like Blvd Tank Seven. Our main complaint is that this restaurant is extremely noisy, compounded by the fact that they play dreadful music way too loud.
Great place, price point is a tad high, high enough to make you think twice about visiting again.
We had excellent service. Food was good, but not good enough for the prices, which are high. I wish I had tried a steak, but I went with the pork shank. It was good, not great. A little bland.
Was disappointed in the food. Meat was tough and chewy.
Service could be a little better, other than that really nice place
The food was good but lukewarm and our server took a LONG time and then wasn't very friendly. We went with my husband's parents and it was a bit difficult to hold a conversation due to how loud it was. However, the restaurant is beautiful and their menu had a few things I'd like to go back and give it a second try.
The waitress did not smile much during our encounter with her. Perhaps she had something going on. Otherwise the ambiance is great and we had nice wine.
Service was a bit slow however she was very nice. All else 5 stars!
Wife and I went for a nice meal, have been here several times now and it’s always good. My only complaint is the cost to amount of food ratio can be disappointing, but the quality is definitely there. It’s a very cool establishment and the staff are friendly and attentive. I’ll be going back.
The food and atmosphere was very good. I had the filet and wife had the salmon. Both were excellent. In fact, I can't remember when I had a filet that good. It was cooked to perfection. Friends of ours had the pork chop and said it was outstanding. Service was very good as well. We will definitely be going back.
Great staff, very attentive. Food was delicious. We're shared the porterhouse and free dessert for our anniversary.
Only problem. One of the appetizer was out when we ordered them.
This was a great evening at a great place. Food was fresh and flavorful. Large portions and priced competitively for other similar places. My only complaint is the place was so dark I had to use my cell phone as a flashlight to read the menu.
Food was very good, nice wine selection, restaurant is very loud at peak time
Hannah, our server, was fabulous as was our chosen dishes. Scallops cooked to perfection and the signature roasted chicken was excellent. Happy to find a go to restaurant.
Me and my husband split house salad, the Ribeye with sides of mac and cheese and loaded mash potatoes. Our son had the hanger steak with side of ceasar salad and mac and cheese. For desserts Cheesecake, apple cobbler and ice cream sandwiches. All of it was very flavorful and delicious. John our server was great and polite.
