Ida B's Table
Excellent experience at Ida B’s for both lunch and dinner. My only disappointment is that I didn’t know about Ida B’s sooner. As a Foodie & Baltimorean, I’m always in search of great Gems all over the DMV. The customer service that Alexis provided during my lunch experience was Genuine and Exceptional. I was feeling some kinda-away when she was off when I came back for dinner two days later. LOL! But, Shane was equally pleasant and very friendly. I experienced the Amazing Blackened Shrimp & Grits...Mouth-Watering and my Goodness...the Oxtails over a bed of Mash & Cauliflower w/a side of Collards...Absolutely Amazing! I’ll be making the drive into Baltimore on a regular for this Gem. Enjoyed the Live Music Friday night and the Artwork and Ambience make the restaurant conducive whether on a date, business, or a get-together with friends. Thanks for a great experience!
Great atmosphere. Good food. Lovely dining utensils.
Fabulous . OMG the Liberian greens!!!!
The drinks were not to our liking but because of personal preference so our server took them back and didn’t charge. Service was phenomenal!!! Fried fish was good - coming from south Louisiana we’re used to way more flavor and seasoning but the fish was overall good. Roasted vegetables were my favorite. Jambalaya was definitely not authentic jambalaya, was more of a bland etoufee, not worth $30. However the atmosphere, experience, service, and dessert were well worth the trip. I’d go back and order the fish again with double roasted vegetables.
The catfish special was delicious! Really like the menu and they have Taharka Bros ice cream YUM
Great food! Will go back!
Possibly, our fried chicken was a little dark. My first experience was better. I asked our server for a larger glass for my water, she said she could only bring me an additional bottle of water.
Had lunch with a friend just to catch up. She had shrimp and grits and I had curry chicken with jollof rice. We had mango sorbet for desert. The service was amazing. Very diverse place which I love.
Outstanding in every way. Can’t wait to return.
Everything was absolutely fabulous! It was our weekly date night and the Mister and I enjoyed ourselves! The food was amazing and the music and ambiance was divine. We’ll definitely be back!
My daughter and I refer to Ida’s as our happy place! We drive to hours for the great food and environment! This establishment is a total winner with great people to boot!
We have visited about 7 times since the opening, and cant get there enough. We live in Durham. NC and make it a must when we visit Maryland. Friday nights with live music is a special treat.
We have been probably 5 times including brunch!
The people that work in your restaurant are outstanding ! They couldn’t be friendlier or more engaging.
We ate here before the wonderful chef won Chopped and it still exceeds our every expectation every time . NOT TO MENTION THE AMAZING FOOD !!!!
P.S. the Jazz was amazing
We travel a lot and eat out a lot . We are thrilled that our city has this fine restaurant to share with the world.
We were so impressed with the service and food. Our server was exceptional, friendly, knowledgeable and always came to our table with a beautiful smile on her face
The food is OK. Not great and not awful. Just OK. The space feels like a cafeteria. There is better soul food in the world. I don’t live in Baltimore so I can not recommend alternative restaurants.
Food was delicious, waitress was phenomenal. Glad we stopped by on our short trip to Baltimore
I have already been to Ida B's six or seven times. It is my go to spot. A friend and I decided to try their brunch for the first time. We were lucky enough to get my favorite waitress Alexus, who always provides excellent service. The atmosphere, service and food was excellent.
Great food great drinks! This was actually my second visit, good place.
Our server was lovely. Service was great and good was outstanding!
I had the oxtail it was really good. Loved the background music playing. It’s a nice quiet relaxed spot.
Very good twist to soul food one of my favorite spots....not a large menu but for the most part what they do they do pretty well.
This has become one of my favorite eating spots in Baltimore! Celebrated a good friend's birthday and love the food - and the Fat Tuesday celebrations!
Wonderful food and exceptional service.
Really good food but the iced tea was not fresh and tasted awful. Server was not very attentive and insisted they did my order right with only a little bit (I doubted it) milk foam on my coffee which should be no milk. I'm not a fan of Baltimore style service but I may come back for their food. Dessert is way too sweet by the way and kind of boring.
It was terrible. The food was horrible.
You really feel at home here, thanks to delightful responsive staff. Food ( and decor) is creative but not pretentious. You won't find ingredients on the menu just because they're trendy. You will find memorable southern inspired dishes to keep you coming back. Don't miss the biscuits!
Wonderful food, service, atmosphere, music.
Everything was excellent
I eat here frequently because the food is superb, the service loving and adept, and the vibe is sophisticated. This time was no exception! Creative cocktails, inspired specials and Cade’s warm welcome were the highlights.
Everything was wonderful from the host at the front desk to the food and then the check in from the host and a warm hug goodbye at the end! Superb customer service!
Food was good. I like the atmosphere. The bill was quite pricey. The menu was cute but confusing. We paid separate for some things we thought was all 1 price. I'll go back again but I'm not dying to.
The staff are delightful and very helpful, the food and drinks are amazing!
Drove from PA just to experience Ida B’s. The place was really thought out. A separate entrance for the bar area, a bookstore in the back with replica items, a separate room for large gatherings and from what it looks like holds approx 40 people.
The food was wonderful. Pecan cornbread and carrot cake muffin with their special butter was great. My husband ordered the specialty spinach and egg atop a muffin and the chicken/egg atop a muffin. Apparently these are best sellers and tend to run out by noon. Service was wonderful. The young lady was professional and timely. The restaurant is located across from a parking lot under the bridge as well as on street parking.
Only downside I can honestly say is the coffee has a horrible taste. Everything else is wonderful
Oh the chicken and waffles deserves a standing ovation!!
Great place to eat and listen to music in Baltimore.
We went on a Friday evening. The noise level was as expected. There was live music which added to the ambiance.
Our food was excellent. Service was also great. We’ve been here several times and each time was great.
We had a 5pm reservation, noticed staff in the restaurant having a tasting(?), but the doors weren't opened until 5:10 with more than 6 patrons waiting, one couple had called the restaurant by then. The food and prompt service made up for the delayed opening. The food was amazing! We enjoyed everything we ordered! Will visit again, but not close to opening!
Great food and even better service. Reasonably priced drinks to go along with skilled bartenders. I'm definitely coming back.
I loved everything about this establishment from the original door to the portraits on the way. And the music was perfect. I can’t wait to come back.
LOVED our first visit for brunch. The decor is beautiful and a great homage to Ida B you can really taste the sweet potatoes coming thru the waffles. Will be back soon to try the dinner menu!!!
Very attractive setting. Menu had several appealing selections. The waffle was superior and the chicken with it quite tasty. The employees were all very friendly and very accomodating. They worked to see that we had a nice time, and we did! I would definitely go again.
