Incredibly horrible service, not from
The waitress, but the bar!
Great Food, Great Service - Good selection of wine, beer and cocktails... what else can you want?
It exceeded our expectations. Very unique dishes and amazing customer services!
Unfortunately one of two of us got sick later that evening
Food was good but came a bit two quick and was not hot
Felt rushed even though the restaurant was not busy
Awesome place to dine
Great food and excellent wait staff. We were there on a Saturday during a transition to a live music performance. The music was a bit too loud for our group to carry on a conversation, but we enjoyed the performance.
The menu is quite pricey which would be ok considering the quality of the food. From the start of the experience the wait staff tells you that it's a small plate restaurant so for two people you should expect at least 6 plates but possibly more. That's the initial shock factor. And if you're ordering a steak or anything that needs to be cut into smaller pieces you might want to bring your own steak knife. Their steak knives aren't fit to cut air. They are more like a butter knife that dreams of being a steak knife. The other thing was seating, there were plenty of tables available and I asked if my husband and I could be seated in the corner and the hostess stated "that section is busy right now. You'll have to wait a half hour to get that (very much empty with three vacant tables surrounding it) table"
Great place to celebrate or dine out with friends. Food is always delicious and well played. No disappoints with drinks either. Just not sure how you run out of a dish on a Wednesday evening when only 1/3 of the restaurant is full.
The food was amazing - many different flavors and portions were perfect for sharing and getting a wide sample of the menu. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting with an amazing view of the sunset.
Excellent food and top notch service. It was a real treat dining here. We will be coming back regularly.
5th visit. Always outstanding. Only 4 stars for service because the hostess didn’t alert our server that her table service had started ( we were there around 5:30) so we had to wait to be recognized quite a long time at the beginning . Server was great, though.will definitely return!
The food was excellent! Also a nice selection of wine and beer. Great experience!
Incredible - this was the perfect choice for our anniversary! We both would recommend this to anyone
We have been to I.D. a few times and each time enjoyed the food, and tonight was no exception. We tried the Tempura green beans and Truffle fries as a starter, and had Octopus, Mushroom, Rissotto, Shrimp special, Salmon, Bolognese. All of our food was hot and delicious. The small plates come from the kitchen when they are done, not all together so you get a nicely paced meal and can enjoy each plate at it's height of preparedness. The only issue was the kitchen kept on forgetting our Bolognese. Our waitress checked twice and after I am sure being extra forceful with the kitchen we received it. She immediately told us it would not be on the bill and we would be getting 2 desserts for our inconvenience. Very well handled on her/their part and as you would expect to be treated. It was all delicious and we will go back.
The vibe at I.D. is very nice. Modern, but not overly hipster. Energetic but not too loud, so you can enjoy a nice conversation with your dinning mates.
Great experience. Food was excellent. Enjoyed the small plates dining experience.
The food is outstanding — top notch in the Milwaukee area. The atmosphere is hip, trendy and would impress just about anyone. The service fell a little short, and they should consider using a maître d' to keep dishes moving and diners engaged.
What a fun, new experience for my husband and I! The decor was eclectic and dramatic. Our server, Richard, was fun and very knowledgeable. He made great drink recommendations that we happily went with. For our plates, we chose the bang bang shrimp, sweet potato gnocchi, and coppa margherita flatbread. All were fantastic! I especially enjoyed the gnocchi. For dessert, we went with the black forest, and I am still raving about it! This was enough food as neither of us had been completely famished. For most couples, I'd expect that 4-5 total plates would be the right amount. I.D. would be the perfect place for a group of 2-4, in my opinion. It is a little loud in the main dining room, so a small table is just right. Sharing the plates adds a dimension of adventure and fun to your dinner. We will be returning!
great place for a big group of people or just a couples night.
The food was excellent, looked great and tasted even better. Our server was very knowledgeable about the small plates, was there when we needed her and not "in our soup" . We will be returning soon.
The food is outstanding, the building is gorgeous and the staff is warm and accommodating. This is a great spot for an date night.
I made a reservation and when asked if I wanted high table or low table, requested low table. When we arrived at the restaurant it seemed to be quite an imposition to seat us at a lower table. We were placed at a high top community table. This was a meal for our family before my child left to work abroad. I was disappointed that the offer was made and then the request was disregarded. The food was ok. I had the special and I was very disappointed. The other members of our party were overall satisfied. Some of the food was extremely salty. The service was adequate.
The food and special cocktails were amazing. When we were first seated, the noise level was mild as we had an early reservation, By the time we left it was at a moderate level. Would definitely recommend and will go again, but stick with the early time.
Excellent! We will be coming back. Four of us ordered a salad to share + 6 plates. Ended up taking half of the 6th plate home. We were stuffed!
Overall good food not the best. Fun to try different things but I wouldn't say the food was worth the price point is all. Good service, nice place, great drinks.
Loved this place. Nicely refurbished restaurant with a good vibe. Interesting menu with shared plate options. Very good and creative dishes. Get the piping hot skillet bread-it was delicious! Actually, everything we tried was wonderful. Good portions, too. Went away very happy. Service was great!
We love it there! My daughter has a dairy allergy and they can accommodate that so she love it there also. The decor is so cool and the staff is outstanding!
The food and service were outstanding ! They were able to adjust items on the menu to accommodate our needs.
Nice meal. Very small crowd. Much less noise than during the week.
Food was incredible—unique and well made. Our only criticism is that some of the portions were very small for the price. We have been raving about it, though, and spent 4 hours enjoying the ambiance and food. It was a fun experience.
Food is always great! We started off with something new, the Nashville hot chicken wedge! It was so yummy! We then had the sweet potato gnocchi (a favorite of ours) and the braised short ribs. Braised short rib plate had nice sized portions of meat and the Parmesan polenta was tasty. This has become our new favorite restaurant and look forward to more date nights here! We missed our favorite server (Karlee), but the other staff also did a great job!
So grateful to have Chef Joe in our little town.
Amazing atmosphere! Great food and drinks. We will be back!
I’ve been to ID 4 times both for brunch and dinner. The food is always delicious and interestng. The atmosphere is swanky but not pretentious. Service is always great. This is a great place to go to for special occasions, for a nice cocktail or just to spice up the week. Hope everyone likes this place as much as I do.
With the change of chef I felt the quality of the food has gone down. It’s ok, just nothing special.
Had another great dinner and service last night. Great seasonal menu and cocktails.
food was great short ribs and scallops - small plates to share and had the dark chocolate cake desert it was to die for. waiter recommended a charonday wine which was very good - one of the best meals we have had in a while.
Service was a little off this time - but they were busy! Food was fabulous! Loved the live band Saturday night also - that was a great little surprise!
From the relaxed friendly servers to the dinner prepared by Chef Heppe.. The entire experience was amazing. Id removes the stigma of fancier dinning, great food and atmosphere
This is our first time at the restaurant, and it was amazing. The shared plat experience is fun once you get the hang of it, and because of the quality of the ingredients it was never too much.
Richard was our waiter and impressed immediately by offering the best seats available due to knowing about a draft near another available table. We've had him as our waiter before and has always impressed, but was above and beyond this time, quite possibly my best hospitality experience at a restaurant ever. His recommendations for dinner and desserts were exactly what we were looking for. He kept regular contact with us despite working many tables including one large private party. We used to live down the street and haven't been in for quite some time but after this experience I'm not sure I'd rather go anywhere else at for this type of meal.
