First time here for brunch. Lovely, quiet patio could only have been better if music was turned down a bit. Perfect pot of French press coffee all to myself. Corned beef hash was enough for 2 so it may be breakfast again tomorrow. Knowledgeable friendly server, good food, cool breeze on patio, all add up to A+
Richard took great care of us and was very helpful with menu suggestions
Fabulous food and amazing service. We loved the small plates concept but wished the pricing was slightly less in comparison to the portions. Very good!!!!!!
Richard was EXCEPTIONAL as a server. Great drinks and fast food, pricey, but overall enjoyable evening.
The host spilled red wine on my dress and a manager never acknowledged the mishap or offered to dry clean...felt like they didn’t care
Food is fantastic, service is friendly and over the top!
Great brunch service! Definitely go in on Sunday morning/afternoon to experience it. Tasty food and great service, will definitely be back soon.
Our brunch at ID was wonderful! Our family went there for my birthday and they were so accommodating! The waitstaff and chef were so friendly!
We have dined here multiple times and this time did not disappoint. Our service was fantastic and every item we ordered was delicious. The pea risotto was surprisingly more savory than expected and loved that about it. Would re order every dish again. Kimchi cakes with duck egg, scallops & short rib, whitefish & the ribeye all wonderful. They definitely do small dish dining the right way!
Food was good. Service could use some help. Waitress informed us right away how busy the night was with roughly 30% of the tables open. Barely checked on us throughout our meal.
Food was good but menu a bit limited and for the “entree” portions, we were disappointed in how small they were. Ambiance is wonderful. Service friendly. Thank you.
This was our first time eating at I.D. and it was a cool experience. My husband is a bit of a picky eater so it was hard to find things on the menu he would like, but he ended up trying everything we ordered. Their truffle fries are delicious and the pea & parmesan risotto was our favorite. We will definitely be back again to try other dishes! The only thing we really didn't care for was the close proximity to the other tables, as their wasnt much privacy. We will still be back!
The food was fabulous (as always) as was the service and the ambiance. We sat outside and enjoyed a lovely evening of dining, wine and friendship.
Great service. Beautifully prepared food.
I.d. seems very self impressed. The menu items are offbeat but in general not very appealing. We struggled to choose something that even looked appealing. The ladies had a salad that included strawberries. The man had a Wisconsin flatbread. Neither one was very good but both were overpriced.
All in all, I would say there are a lot of better dining choices out there. This one missed on just about all counts.
Great staff, great food, great atmosphere. Definitely recommend if going out for a special occasion or just a date night.
Good service, food & drinks— a great night!
Great restuarant—creative and tasty menu that never disappoints. Has a very hip and energetic ambiance with friendly service—Richard is our pick for sure! Always look forward to a night at i.d.
We ate outside on a lovely evening. Our server was great and was happy to offer suggestions. Food was excellent. Only complaint is we over-ordered .... there were six ladies and we ordered 12 small plates. We would have been fine with 9. Especially wish there would have been longer gaps in delivering food. Food came pretty quickly so we ate pretty quickly. It would have been nice to savor the food a bit more slowly. Also. $12 for a glass of wine is ridiculous. A few of us Chardonnay drinkers ordered beer because it was cheaper.
Service was sub par. We told the server it was a special celebration and 52nd wedding anniversary, nothing was said nor was there anything celebratory about the meal. We went for lunch the same day at a different venue and they gave a free dessert and the server wished the couple a happy anniversary.
Fantastic, as always. Fun, eclectic menu with plenty of variety.
This French menu was outstanding.
A repeat. I would definitely go back.
Incredibly horrible service, not from
The waitress, but the bar!
Great Food, Great Service - Good selection of wine, beer and cocktails... what else can you want?
It exceeded our expectations. Very unique dishes and amazing customer services!
Unfortunately one of two of us got sick later that evening
Food was good but came a bit two quick and was not hot
Felt rushed even though the restaurant was not busy
Awesome place to dine
Great food and excellent wait staff. We were there on a Saturday during a transition to a live music performance. The music was a bit too loud for our group to carry on a conversation, but we enjoyed the performance.
The menu is quite pricey which would be ok considering the quality of the food. From the start of the experience the wait staff tells you that it's a small plate restaurant so for two people you should expect at least 6 plates but possibly more. That's the initial shock factor. And if you're ordering a steak or anything that needs to be cut into smaller pieces you might want to bring your own steak knife. Their steak knives aren't fit to cut air. They are more like a butter knife that dreams of being a steak knife. The other thing was seating, there were plenty of tables available and I asked if my husband and I could be seated in the corner and the hostess stated "that section is busy right now. You'll have to wait a half hour to get that (very much empty with three vacant tables surrounding it) table"
Great place to celebrate or dine out with friends. Food is always delicious and well played. No disappoints with drinks either. Just not sure how you run out of a dish on a Wednesday evening when only 1/3 of the restaurant is full.
The food was amazing - many different flavors and portions were perfect for sharing and getting a wide sample of the menu. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting with an amazing view of the sunset.
Excellent food and top notch service. It was a real treat dining here. We will be coming back regularly.
5th visit. Always outstanding. Only 4 stars for service because the hostess didn’t alert our server that her table service had started ( we were there around 5:30) so we had to wait to be recognized quite a long time at the beginning . Server was great, though.will definitely return!
The food was excellent! Also a nice selection of wine and beer. Great experience!
Incredible - this was the perfect choice for our anniversary! We both would recommend this to anyone
We have been to I.D. a few times and each time enjoyed the food, and tonight was no exception. We tried the Tempura green beans and Truffle fries as a starter, and had Octopus, Mushroom, Rissotto, Shrimp special, Salmon, Bolognese. All of our food was hot and delicious. The small plates come from the kitchen when they are done, not all together so you get a nicely paced meal and can enjoy each plate at it's height of preparedness. The only issue was the kitchen kept on forgetting our Bolognese. Our waitress checked twice and after I am sure being extra forceful with the kitchen we received it. She immediately told us it would not be on the bill and we would be getting 2 desserts for our inconvenience. Very well handled on her/their part and as you would expect to be treated. It was all delicious and we will go back.
The vibe at I.D. is very nice. Modern, but not overly hipster. Energetic but not too loud, so you can enjoy a nice conversation with your dinning mates.
Great experience. Food was excellent. Enjoyed the small plates dining experience.
The food is outstanding — top notch in the Milwaukee area. The atmosphere is hip, trendy and would impress just about anyone. The service fell a little short, and they should consider using a maître d' to keep dishes moving and diners engaged.
What a fun, new experience for my husband and I! The decor was eclectic and dramatic. Our server, Richard, was fun and very knowledgeable. He made great drink recommendations that we happily went with. For our plates, we chose the bang bang shrimp, sweet potato gnocchi, and coppa margherita flatbread. All were fantastic! I especially enjoyed the gnocchi. For dessert, we went with the black forest, and I am still raving about it! This was enough food as neither of us had been completely famished. For most couples, I'd expect that 4-5 total plates would be the right amount. I.D. would be the perfect place for a group of 2-4, in my opinion. It is a little loud in the main dining room, so a small table is just right. Sharing the plates adds a dimension of adventure and fun to your dinner. We will be returning!
