With so many small, boutique Washington wineries whose focus is to produce fine, hand-crafted artisanal wines, it is difficult to discern where wines of superior quality and exceptional value can truly be found. We at Icon Cellars devote ourselves to producing elegant, Old World style wines for those discerning individuals who thoughtfully choose the wine to compliment life regardless of the occasion…“wines for the love of life and the art of living.”
It is my goal as a Winemaker and owner of Icon Cellars to provide for you unique opportunities to experience and enjoy Icon wines with those; like yourself, who also appreciate wine complemented by fine food, fine art and of course fine music. I will personally look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into our exclusive Icon Circle of friends.
The owner who served us was very nice! Great wine!
I did not eat there. It is a winery. The review does not allow for NA choices. Everything else was great. I recently moved here from California and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of wines.
Jim was our host and the winemaker, I believe. He's a great host and made sure everyone was taken care of while.giving us time to enjoy the wine rather than rushing through the tasting.
The owner/host was hospitable, friendly and eager to share information on the wines.
The setting was cute with linen table cloths, fresh flowers and wine barrels. Be prepared to stand. There were no seats outside. In fact, it is in a warehouse area so you are literally standing in a parking lot. I never did a wine tasting before in WA so I was a bit surprised at this but was told it is typical for the area. So, just know that.
The 4 tastings were great and the other attendees were friendly so it made it more fun.
There was no food provided and I would highly recommend you contact Icon to get the name of the nearby establishment that delivers charcuterie platters to have it upon arrival. We didn't know so had to wait to get them. The tastings were much more enjoyable with the meats and cheeses to enhance it.
Overall, it was fun, a good value and we bought a bottle of the Rosa which our party of 3 all preferred. We are not big wine drinkers and were there more for the experience. I would recommend it for an hour plus in the afternoon on a nice day.
Not a dining venue, just a tasting room, but there are respectable places nearby and you can bring your own food along if you’d like. Or, order something delivered! Jim is a great host and spectacular winemaker. He is a craftsman and a true asset to the great Washington wines being made. Bravo, Jim! Bravo!!!
Wine was fabulous!
We arrived for our apt at 4pm (just 4 of us) and there were multiple tables of more than 5 and they definitely weren't 6 feet apart from each other (two groups were pretty much back to back). It was a rainy day so I understand not having the room to spread out from there...but it just made us all feel unsafe when it comes to COVID regulations. We waited for about 5 minutes to see if they'd come out to collect us for our tasting or even acknowledge us and he didn't. Ended up just leaving to find something else to do.
We had a wonderful time! I had a friend come visit from Texas and we spend the afternoon. We sat outside and enjoyed the wine and atmosphere. Great variety and overall great experience. Definitely will be doing it again.
Jim was very nice and accommodating! Beautiful, cozy tasting room with outdoor patio standing tables
The wine at Icon is always a delight. The owner is very friendly and enjoys talking to the guests about his wine and stories.
Didn’t have food but wines and service are great.
This was a great wine tasting--no food involved. Icon wines are the best. Jim followed all the Covid regulations so I felt very safe. There were flowers on each table--tables are wine barrels.
And the wine is always especially yummy.
Great tasting and very generous pores. We’ll be back. Excellent!
Loved the wine, did not order food! This is a winery gem! The Rose is to die for!
Even though we made a reservation, they were over crowded when we arrived. They did not have everyone outside and did not have 6ft of space between groups.
This is not a restaurant, this is a wine tasting room o no food is available. There was no N/A button on the survey. The wine tasting room is very cozy, both outdoor and indoor seating but with social distancing in place, seating is very limited as the tasting room is fairly small. Despite the restrictions, a very pleasant experience with the service and the wine both being exceptional. As always, we left having purchased several bottles.
I love icon cellars! It's a small winery, so the experience with the winemaker feels really personal and the wine is delicious.
