Everyone there, from the servers to the chefs take a lot of pride in the food and in the restaurant. The vegetables are fresh and the cuts of meat are excellent. I ordered the nine course meal with three other people, and it was light, but filling. The service was outstanding.
Great service! Very nice serving and preparing the food. Definitely recommend to come!
A nice place to try Japanese hot pot. But can be noisy as the room is not too spacious, and some guests are noisy. And it looks they are a bit short handed, whoever got a minute will come and serve, waiting for next food can be long. Better for someone who wants a sip or long chat. And sometimes you can feel neglected, but it’s understandable, waiters and waitresses are super busy. Plus, they don’t like you to share one order with multiple people, and you can be super full with each person ordering one menu. They are very sweet taking considerations for your special occasion with decorated dessert, this one is a very nice experience.
The food was delicious and the staff were absolutely delightful people. We’ll be back!
The food is good but the 10 and 9 course meal portion is quite a lot. Very cozy environment. Staffs are really nice.
My husband and I had the opportunity to eat at this new restaurant after hearing of them on the radio. The premium set course was recommended and it was well worth it! It’s like having special omakase dinner except that instead of sushi you get exquisite pieces of beef and seafood. We loved every course that came our way and the variety of sakes that were offered. They also had draft Japanese beer which my husband loved. We will definitely go back again!
It was a good experience. I have been to other places that you would just crave to go back again. Once is enough. Not much flavoring in the food, on the lighter side. Service was great.
It was absolutely outstanding everybody in the establishment was absolute perfection would recommend it to anybody that wants to try great food great service and great location with great atmosphere
Very nice experience. We did the 10 course dinner and had a great time. Service was excellent and food tasty and interesting
Excellent service. True Japanese style where they kindly explain the menu and pairing with every serving. Food was definitely quality sourced. We had the premium course and it was worth every bit of the price. Will try the regular courses next time as I know I will not be disappointed with that either. Was even endearing that they escorted us as we were leaving to bid a gracious farewell. Partially tempted not to write a grand review because I want this place to myself :D
Delicious food and great experience. Will definitely be back. This is the best Nabe I’ve had in Hawaii.
Ichifuji was the perfect place to get a hot, hearty, and above all, delicious meal for New Year’s Eve. Everything was excellent, from the broth to the Wagyu rolls, and then to the snapper sashimi, which was transported directly from Tokyo. The service was excellent, Japanese hospitality from both the server and the chef: they take the time and care to help you learn how to best enjoy their meal.
We ordered 1 9-course combo for two people and then added tons of meat. This way we were able to focus on the meat and shared the soba and the porridge at the end.
Overall, really recommended, also totally worth the price! And did I mention their excellent list of Japanese spirits to choose from?
Service was very attentive. Plenty of suggestions and explanations (ie what salts go with which foods). Nice variety of dishes.
