Fave spot, especially in Bernal but best Omakase in SF.

Went on Valentines day. Special menu was great from oysters and nigiri to soup. Nigiri excellent as always. Chefs are fun. Great when you sit at the bar.

Tiny pieces of fish. Dry and not that interesting. Expensive for what you get.

Amazing food, excellent ambiance, extremely friendly staff. The sushi is fresh, interesting, and unique to the restaurant. I recommend sitting at the bar and getting omakase. You will be blown away.

Ichi Sushi served me excellent sushi, seasoned by the chefs, but it was so unbelievably expensive that a $150 gift certificate did not cover a modest-sized meal for two. I can find self-seasoned sushi of similar quality for 1/5 the price at most.

Came here for my birthday and did the tasting menu. Was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend it!

The thoughtful, innovative superior Nigiri does not disappoint here. The price is high but the taste makes up for it. I did not have the Omikase this time but It has been a culinary delight in the past. I liked the larger restaurant. Now that they have downsized I miss the vibe of the bigger restaurant

Went for the Sushi (loved it when they were across the street)
The sushi was Boring and uninspired.
The service from the Sushi Chefs was rude.
Our sushi chef did not want to answer any questions and we felt hushed.
The actual back of the sushi bar (we were on the side) was Very dirty. Dirty rags, raw fish on top of raw meat blood, fish thrown about without care.
Presentation was less than lack luster.
$4.00-$6.00 per piece of sushi
NO thank you.
Going to take my family and my money else where.
Beware! This place needs a health inspection badly

ICHI is consistently one of the best sushi experiences in San Francisco, despite there being a myriad of better known alternatives. The omakase is the way to go, sit at the bar, talk to the chefs. The price point is competitive. My only complaint is that some of the nigiri can be a bit "over dressed", but its not to hide a lower quality fish or cut, and doesn't deter me from going back.
