Great service, great food and drinks! Drinks are a bit pricey, but not really any more than other places. Really appreciate the “back“ room. Nice if you want to be able to have a conversation yet still hear the music
great casual ambient and nice inside building design
First time visit with my beautiful date, and it was perfect! Loved the experience! We even had a chance to dance to some Cuban music. Keep it going! I think you gave a winning concept. My date is now my girlfriend and we will be visiting again for some more good offerings. Thank you!
Good food, good wine, good service. Be warned that if you're going for a show, your reservation doesn't guarantee you admission unless you also have a ticket--and your ticket alone doesn't guarantee you a table. If you want a table and good sightlines, plan ahead and buy/reserve early!
Brisket had 2 bites of meat and a ton of fat. Not a typical brisket. The waiter took it off the bill but didn't offer to bring something else or another one. The ice cream that was made in house was over churned into butter.
THE FOOD PRESENTATION WAS VERY NICE, THE TASTE OF THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD AND THE SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING. REGARDING THE FOOD, WE THE PORK CHOP QUITE FATTY AND THE PLOUGHMAN DINNER WAS FILLED WITH JUST ABOUT TOO MANY FOODS. WE REALLY ENJOYED THE AMBIANCE, THE STAFF AND THE MUSIC. IT WAS A GREAT PLACE TO TALK AS WELL AS ENJOY THE MUSIC. WE WILL RETURN TO TRY OTHER ITEMS ON THE MENU.
It would be nice to have more vegetarian friendly choices (the only two both featured mushrooms) and more than one salad selection would be great.
We were very impressed with Icehouse. We went for dinner and had a live piano and cello serenading us while we dined on delicious burgers (veggie for me, one of the best I've had) and fries. Would love to come back to try their meat and cheese boards.
Great food and drinks and ambiance as always! The background music sets the mood right and is just the right volume.
Hard to rate! The food and drinks were outstanding! But the service was really really slow despite the place being half empty. And we were seated right next to the stage, so we couldn't hear / talk to each most of the meal. But the Holy Hootennanners were great, despite the loudness!
While we had a reservation at 5:00, they weren't ready for us. We had a 6 year old with and were told to sit at the bar. As others were coming in they sat them down and pretty much ignored us. Didn't care much for that, I feel you should be ready to go at 5:00 if you're taking reservations for that time.
What a fun night with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. Thanks for bei g a great venue!
The service, food, seating all were excellent. We arrived at 6:30 PM and in plenty of time to order our food and have it delivered well before show time. The house was quite full when we arrived and became increasingly full through out the hour, likely making it increasingly difficult for our wait staff to complete the order. My objection was the time of meal delivery at 7:30! The exact time of the show. We do not like having to chew our crunchy salad at the same time trying to hear the beautiful music of the SPCO.
We went to IceHouse to hear a friend’s band play. The music was painfully loud. The service was really abysmal. It took forever to get anything. We ordered the mushroom flatbread, which was a horrible soggy mess served in a bowl! Wrap your head around flatbread in a bowl. The server brought one meal and fries we didn’t order, and our other two meals came out at least 20 minutes later. The guys said their burgers were “just ok.” Fries were great. I had salmon with the black garlic mayo, which was delicious.
Icehouse is one of our favorites! Finally tried the pastries plate this time (we had enough people to be able to almost finish them) and they were super delicious, especially that caramel bacon roll! Drinks and food were excellent as always.
The entryway is janky and crowded with a sliding door and curtain.
The food pricing is annoying. The only way to order food was to order a starter, a main dish, and a desert for $50. We are not big desert people, but we had to pay for it anyway.
Five main dishes were on the menu to choose from. Even with those few options they were out of the one my wife wanted, so she had to settle for something else.
About five minutes after taking our order our waiter came back to our table and said that their ordering system malfunctioned and that he would need to take our order again.
When it was time to order the desert that we were going to take home, they were out of my wife's first choice (again). Again there were only four or five desert choices, but somehow were out of one of them.
Always one of my favorite places to go. The pork belly Bahn MI blew my mind. Keep up the good work and I'll keep throwing money at you.
Ambiance for Valentine’s Day was perfect. The music was beautiful and the service was excellent! Food portions were just right. The quality and taste of the food was excellent! Will definitely be coming back again.
I made Valentines Resevations at the beginning of Januray and called to ask if there was going to be a full menu. They said yes. I called the week before and they said it would be a full menu plus a valentines day special. When we got there we were told no its a set menu and options we wanted weren't available. We left without eating and it was very disappointing that the staff clearly didn't have the right information. The price was fair for what they were offering but didn't want it and were told that wasn't going to be the only option. Thanks for ruining valentines day!
We booked a table for Valentine's day, something where we could see the stage but still have some privacy, we were 30 minutes late and were still seated immediately at an awesome table. Our server, Nora, was completely awesome. No complaints here!
We love Icehouse. Anniversary and Valentine’s Day spot!!
We didn't like being put next to a loud table of about a dozen women for a birthday party, when we were looking a chance to talk to each other. We weren't impressed with the Lobster Bisque to start, there was to much roasted veggies and not enough lobster or broth to compliment the dish. I liked the black garlic wings and the dessert was really good.
I do like the location and the set-up of Ice House but if you are looking to have a conversation with someone don't go here. Also the place is not for the picky eater.
There was a problem with our reservations, otherwise I would give a great review. Staff did their best to find seating for us, but the place was packed, so it took awhile. We had invited family and friends for the music-love the Broke Down Dollies. Will come back again.
Ice House is one of my favorite restaurants in the Twin Cities. It is also one of my favorite places to see live music. They feature great local bans, as well as touring musicians. They offer an eclectic mix of indie, folk, jazz, electronic, and hip hop. The food is simply to die for and they have an incredible selection of beers and cocktails. The ambience is second to none! If you are in Minneapolis, do yourself a for and check this place out!
Disappointing. We are from out of town and were told this was a great place to go. The menu was limited and the food was cold. Wasted one of our two nights.
We have enjoyed Icehouse in the evenings for their great cocktails and live music. We recently had a friend in town for the Super Bowl and decided to give their Sunday bruch a try. We were not at all disappointed with the choice. Service was outstanding, food was amazing and the atmosphere was truly authentic. Can't say enough good things about Icehouse.
The lobster bisque was an artful joke, everything else was good. The mushroom flatbread was excellent!
Ice House always comes through with excellent and hearty food. The Sat. brunch was no exception with a Laphroig Bloody Mary with a duck leg and pickled veggie garnish, a savory cheesy, herby scone with great coffee and a hangar steak and eggs and a side of green chili gravy that was simple and absolutely excellent quality. They find musicians that are both authentic, uplifting and entertaining but still mellow enough to eat next to.
Been to Ice House several times and it has consistently good food and cocktails.
Fantastic food! The brisket was the best brisket I have ever had.
This is my most favorite venue for live music. The food is divine. The adult beverages selection, including wine is wonderful. The servers are very attentive! If you’re looking for live music and delicious food and yummy cocktails. This is your place!
Thank you for continuing to support live music. We came to enjoy happy hour and chose Icehouse because of the terrific jazz duo you hosted.
My only qualm was the live music during my friend brunch. Sitting close to the stage was difficult - the performer was loud and it was hard to conduct conversations.
We ordered brussel sprouts & cauliflower for appetizers, which were really good. The wings and entrees were disappointing. We had a group of 4, and no one enjoyed their meal. This is the first time we have dined here, so it may have just been an off night, but for the price there are much better options.
Brunch for my birthday with my family (5 adults, 4 kids). The had a three piece band and we sat in next to the stage. Food was loved by both kids and adults and the music was fantastic. Everyone l talked to after the brunch gave the outing to Icehouse high praise, including the kids. FYI I have been at night for a late dinner and am not sure I’d bring kids.
Foie gras for breakfast. Gravy that you wanted to lick from the dish. 'Nuf said...
Fun atmosphere with live music. You could still talk, music wasn’t really loud. Food good quality . Service was nice, but tough on her because we were upstairs & the server had to go up & down. I. E. She couldn’t get to our table as often as we or her would have liked.
Great place to hang out with friends over drinks. Nice to enjoy live music but meals are a little pricey and not a very large menu.
We went for brunch to hear Corn Bread Harris. The music was wonderful. I ordered duck eggs
And a biscuit. The eggs were unfortunately cold when served even though they tasted good. The biscuit was amazing.
